I am one of those lovely ladies who adores untraditional hair colors! I went to Caroline at Jon David Salon with a near impossible mission. I had a standard hair stylist before this, however, she went on maternity leave (and she was okay... decent color jobs that faded quickly). Her replacement she recommended ended up frying off a section of my hair (the front bang section, so you can imagine how horrifying that looked) and leaving me with bright-pink straw for the rest. I looked for master colorists in the area, because I knew I was in trouble and could ended up with a buzzed head) and Jon David Salon came up. I called and they placed me with Caroline. She ended up being the best hair stylist I have ever gone to! She took the time needed to not only save what hair she could, but to get me back to an amazing color (a beautiful purple-pink that ombres to a lighter pink on the tips) and gave me a cut that I absolutely adore. She also gave me 2 deep conditioning treatments and stayed an hour past closing to make sure everything was perfect! Yes, it was pricey to fix, but worth every single penny. Ive never had this many people compliment my hair before (and I usually am drawn to colors that make people speak up) as both the color job and the cut were beyond amazing. The other nice thing about the color is that even after 4 weeks, its holding the color (the ombre has become more pronounced, but that was expected). Honestly, I dont intend for anyone other than Caroline to color/cut/treat my hair again! She really is that amazing!!!

I have been to high end salons all over the country and this is by far the worst!! I went in to get a color match to extensions Id bought and wanted the extensions cut a little. The girl I had an appointment with was 20 mins behind and nobody told me anything. The assistant started prepping me but did not introduce herself or tell me was she was doing before she started reaching all around me. The washers practically gave me a shower while shampooing my hair. When you sit in wash station 2 you will notice the pile of dust about an inch high on the signs. They over processed my hair to walk out with a darker color then I actually walked in with. When I expressed to David, the owner, that my hair does not match the color of the extensions. He said it was a "perfect" match. My hair was the color of dark wine, I wanted a auburn. I ended up calling to get it fixed and went the the other thier other salon in Arlington. It was night and day difference. The salon felt like a high end salon: clean, polite, the staff looked fashionable. Yulia was amazing! She did her best to at least tone my hair to a more work appropriate color. She did not feel comfortable matching the color to the extensions because at that point my hair was too damaged from the Springfield location. I appreciated her knowledge and advice. I was told twice that a manager was going to follow up with after Yulia but no one ever reached out and its been over a week.

Im new to the area and have been dealing with a lot of scalp issues. I am the typical girl (24 yrs old) who always has maintained medium long/ LONG hair... well since the scalp issues have occured ive has major breakage and was forced to cut my hair to a medium length. As time progressed on, my hair was thinning and growing back in what I comically call my "chi chi chi chia" way. lol After a long awaited period I finally decided to place my hands into a real salon. I did a search and was really up for the "dare" I gave myself. I called the Jon David Salon and they gladly told me that they had an opening and the receptionist was very helpful in telling me about the salon and the hairdresser I would be dealing with being that it was my first time. I looked at their web page as well to get an idea of what I was getting into and al the reviews were fantastic so I went in for my consult. As stated before the atmosphere is very modern and they have an awesome staff that compliment eachother. My hairdressers name was Laurie and she is AMAZING! She listen to my concerns and need for change but definitely was attentive to what I liked that no hair dresser was ever able to attain before due to the bulk and weight of my hair. The pricing is not bad for the service you get. Definitely TOP QUALITY is in this salon!!! Thanks again Laurie for bringing me back to life again after the trauma ive been dealing with. Your THE BEST!

A three and a half hour ordeal! After a botched coloring job at another salon left my hair black three weeks before my June 2008 wedding, I called up this salon and was booked with David (the owner) for corrective coloring. I was seen right away, but his assistant did 90% of the work. I was often left sitting because David was working on 3 other clients at the same time. There werent enough wash sinks, so I had to wait several times to have my hair washed, sometimes as much as fifteen minutes. At one point I was left sitting under a hair dryer long after the timer went off (finally another stylist noticed me sitting there, abandoned, and came over to see who was doing my hair). As a result my color came out WAY too dark, almost back to the blakc that I walked in with. I was nearly in tears by that point since Id been there for two hours, most of which Id been ignored. David assured me they could lighten my hair again, which they did, though they lightened it a bit too much this time, resulting in a reddish tint. However, the end result was better than what I came in with, but it shouldnt have taken three and a half hours. The final insult was that David "generously" took a whole $15 off my bill. I still ended up paying $150. What a waste of time and money!

I went to this salon yesterday and let my stylist (Lori) know it was my birthday and I was looking forward to just relaxing and doing something nice for myself. She said she was running behind by about 15 minutes and offered a free deep conditioning treatment. OK cool. However, the 15 minutes was actually an hour and 15 minutes. I saw her go through about four other clients while I was waiting. When she finally got to me, I had a bunch of pictures picked out to show her what I wanted. She spent ten minutes cutting my hair and then passed me off to her assistant to dry my hair. After waiting another 10 minutes, I couldnt take it anymore, I paid and left with my hair wet since I did have other plans for my b-day. When I got home and dried it myself, I found the cut to be very average and not what I had shown her in the pics. When I want to pamper myself, I dont want to feel like Im being churned through the system so the salon can make the max amount of money. Very disrespectul. Dont go there.
