I made an appointment with Alca for a $20 haircut without the hair wash and blow dry. When I arrived for my appointment, I affirmed the type of service. Thus, a simple $20 haircut with no hair wash or blow dry. She still washed and blow dried my hair. At the end of the service, she charged me the regular price which is $45. Then, I politely informed her I stated on two occassions the type of service I was receiving which was from the phone call I made and the discsussion at my arrival to the salon. She was very receptive and apologized. Yet, she charged me $30 for the haircut. I can live with that because she did such a great job! I think Alca is very talented and did an outstanding job on my hair. No complaints about the service! I would have given a 5-star rating; however, there was a snafu with communication about the type of service I was receiving.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I went there yesterday for a trim. I was the only customer in the place, and the lady who washed my hair was really nice. I cant say the same for the stylist. I told her that I wanted two inches cut from my length, and she took six inches instead. Hair that was almost down to my elbow is now up to my shoulders, which is not what I wanted. Also, she talked on the phone almost the entire time she was cutting my hair, which is really rude and unprofessional. When she styled it, she didnt bother to put any mousse or anything in it. Finally, even though she acknowledged that she cut my hair shorter than what I wanted, she still charged me $45 for the cut, which is way too much. I cant warn customers enough about this place. Just dont go.

Im sorry to see that someone gave Alca a bad review. Im a guy and have been going to her for several years. She is a very skilled hair cutter, and very pleasant as well. Shes been very careful to cut my hair the way I wanted it -- not too short! With years of hair cutting, there are going to be some dissatisfied customers, but I think most people are very pleased with her work.

Im a 30 year old guy, gone here 3 times as its very convenient. Every time i have had to guide her extensively to be attentive to leaving my hair with lines, unbalanced ears, etc. Much more than other stylists. She is very sweet and attempts to get to know her customers, which is why i didnt give her 2 stars. Ill use her in a pinch, but she wont be my regular.

I have been getting my hair cut from some place else and was looking for a new look. So I went to this place and I love the owner who was so friendly and did an excellent job on my hair. She did my eyebrows too which I loved. I loved her and would go there all the time from now on...
