my wife was in va beach to dissolve her fathers estate and had a clutch go out on her 07 jeep wrangler.She went to where her father had gone before his passing(thought she could trust them)and they were able to get her in on short notice,we thought was great until they call and say it is finished.She never recieved an estimate and extra work was preformed without her approval. The labor hours billed for were 2.5 hours over the time needed for the repair( I happen to own a NAPAAUTOCARE CENTER and am a master ASE technitian)they did not know this prior to making up prices to charge my wife....as i have heard of this so many times in my business...We could have made a decision to go elsewhere if we recieved an estimate prior to doing the repairs..How sad that they have to rob unsuspecting women(or men)to keep in business.When you operate in a small town you have to provide quality and trustworthiness to keep your door open,when you steal(and i mean that)from tourist and the uninformed you give a bad name to all repair shops.And it is just plain wrong.so please consider who you are about to let work on your vehicle and get more than 1 estimate.legally you do not have to pay for repairs you did not approve,or if used parts are not provided to you at time of pick up

I have had a check engine light that has been an issue for 2 years. I took my car to the dealership, Firestone and 2 other places...all of them saying it was a different issue. The codes kept on changing every-time too. My husband decided to drop off my car while I was away for 2 weeks. When I came back, It was discovered that a straw was used as part of the full line in my car by the other owner. My car is only an 05 and I bought it in 08 and it was never in an accident. Steve and his team SAVED my and my family lives. He went threw the whole car and discovered this after all of the other possibilities became exhausted. If I would have been hit in my back, my children and myself would have been killed because of the location of this line. He spent ALOT of hours trouble shooting and was very good on how much he charged to fix my car, when others didnt. My check engine light hasnt been back on and my car goes to them for everything. I am a VERY happy customer.

I went to ACE Automotive to have my brakes repaired after having a terrible experience next door at Tread Quarters (the store manager was extremely rude and unwelcoming). This was my first experience with ACE Automotive and the owners were very friendly and knowledgeable. I was given a detailed explanation of what would be required to fix my brakes and what it would cost before ANY work was done. In addition to fixing my brakes, they informed me of other issues that I may want to look out for with my vehicle. I am definitely going back to them for all of my car care needs!!! I would recommend this auto repair shop to anyone... please, just DONT give your money to the rude people next door at Tread Quarters. You get more for your money at ACE Automotive and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. They genuinely care about making sure you are safe in your car. THANK YOU very much ACE Automotive.

Ive been a customer of Ace Automotive for several years but for the last couple of years I was going to another place closer to home (I used to work close to them). This year the place I was taking it to tried to rip me off with a bunch of added work for my inspection - so I brought it back to Ace. I am so glad I did. Not only did Steve save me a bunch of money, but he reminded me why I used to take my car there. Steve is not only honest, but he and his crew do great work. Make sure to call beforehand of course, they do get busy because many of the locals know they are the place to go. They are very military friendly but they do accept civilians too... lol Today he saved me a good bit of money vs the local chain I had brought my car to. I am glad I thought to bring it back to them - and that is where I will be bringing it from now on. Thanks Steve! Very much appreciated!

Very Trustworthy - Military Friendly! I thought I had rated Ace Automotive before but dont see it listed. A co-worker recommended me to go here about 6 months ago because he had his truck worked on there. I have to say this they are one of the only auto repair locations that I completely trust. They are VERY military friendly (retired Navy here) and really people friendly period. Not only would I recommend them to friends, I already have. I had a good amount of work done awhile back and its back now for an unrelated problem. I know they will take good care of my car and it will be what was necessary and reasonable. Thank you Steve!

I very highly recommend this shop for anyone looking for high quality mechanics with integrity. I had an issue with my brake lines that I was not able to solve, and considering I rebuilt the engine in my car, I do know my way around a set of wrenches and a vacuum pump. I initially took my car to Sears Automotive at Pembroke, where they kept my car for 4 hours only to misdiagnose my issue and waste an afternoon. Within 45 minutes of handing over my car to Steve at Ace he had diagnosed it. Once the part arrived, he had the car up and good to go on budget and ahead of schedule.

Coming across Ace Automotive was God sent. I prayed for a repair shop with honest workers and scored. They are friendly, polite, patient and listened as I explained my situation. Their prices are affordable And when finances are tough for you they apply discounts to your balance to help you out. They are fast and professional about their work. Steve and the guys over at Ace are on point. Customer service is first rate and they get the job done without the fluff and horror stories you hear with other places. I took my car in after it had been sitting for two years (stationed in Japan) and Steve took the time to break it all down for me and get the problem I was experiencing diagnosed and solved. Will definitely be returning for my future car needs.

Steve helped me out; he was very professional and courteous. Great customer service. Very honest and upfront regarding pricing and billing for labor. I was quoted $1000 plus at a dealer service center whereas with Ace Automotive the parts and labor was only $400. Great price for great service. I highly recommend Ace Automotive and will be going back to have my other vehicles fixed here.

I needed a tire repair on Halloween........most people closed early. I went to their competitor next door and they told me "maybe their mechanic would be in". I am so glad I went next door. The owners were there and so friendly. They took care of my tire repair that was a dealer warranty claim and I was on my way quickly. Thank you, guys!
