I will never go back to this shop...Ive been a customer at muffler shop since moving to Virginia, and have to have my car serviced often due to frequent long distance traveling. Ive always been able to drop off my car during normal business hours, but was unable to do so the most recent time I went to the shop. I called ahead a day before and asked if they had time to look at my car and explained what services I was looking to receive (oil change, fluids checked, tires rotated, etc.). The man that spoke with me assured me that my car could be seen and that it was ok to drop off my car before normal business hours. I told him my name and make/color of my car and told him what time I would drop it off. He did not specify where to leave my car, but told me to leave my keys and filled out form in the drop box. I did what he told me to do and left my keys and form in the Dropbox and parked my car directly in front of the shop in their parking spaces. I cannot use the phone during work hours so did not call to check on my car, but returned at 4:30 pm as I had told the man Id spoken to I would. When I got there, they had not seen my car, had no idea why I was there, and said there were no keys in the drop box. I insisted they were and explained that I had spoken to someone the day previously about dropping my car off before business hours. I waited, silently fuming, and sure enough, they came back with my keys and form from the box.... They said that drop offs need to be on the side (information not communicated to me in my conversation with the employee the previous afternoon) and said they assumed my car was parked for the other business. I did not appreciate their implication that the fault was mine. At the very least, there was a miscommunication, and a good business should try and work with their customer. I explained to them that I had to leave for a long trip at 3AM and asked if they could please at least change my oil. They flatly refused, no apology, no offer of future discounted service or, I dont know, ANY sort of incentive to return after such a ridiculous waste of my time and patience. I was floored by the complete lack of decency and consideration I received from a business that Ive been loyal to for over a year now. Thank goodness Ive met some really helpful neighbors here in VA beach who helped me change my OWN oil...even though they were busy and stressed over the holidays too. Ive never left a negative review before for anything, but I really had that bad of an experience with this business. If you want good customer service...look for a different shop!!

I highly recommend The Muffler Shop! The customer service is always great! The employees go above and beyond to make sure that your car is repaired correctly. Communicating everything that is going wrong with your vehicle! Keeping you posted on all issues. They appear to be honest mechanics! This is very important when getting your car service! No one wants to deal with dis-honest mechanics that display money hungry behavior! I do "not" get this impression when dealing with this company! My experience has been a good one thus far! I cannot thank them enough!! I needed to drop Range Rover off to be shipped overseas last Tuesday and the night before my exhaust pipe came loose driving back from NC . It sounded like a drag racing car . I remembered it was a muffler place that the folks always were helpful with my questions so I took it to them that morning and explained my urgency and they jumped right on it like a pit stop. They explained the work they needed to do and I was out and heading to my drop off appointment on time ! The repair was clean and my truck was the quietest its ever been . Im now it Italy but will continue to recommend The Muffler Shop to all my friends back home . Thanks again guys

The welders here did not disconnect my battery prior to working on my bike (welding 101?) and fried my battery. Im out a battery and the shop wont accept responsibility for what happened. I understand that they do not typically work on motorcycles, and were willing to do so to accommodate me, but the fact that they were not even willing to cover a portion of the cost of a brand new motorcycle battery to replace the less-than-one-year-old battery I had reflects poor customer care. I will not return to this shop with my car and will not recommend it to others.

I took my 2014 Chevy SS to them for removing mid section with resonator and make new section with only a H pipe in it to rear mufflers. They made mistake first time around and it did nothing but rattle and forgot to add the H pipe. I brought it back following sat and they took it in immediately and did the rework in timely manner first thing in morning. No trouble given. Everything is perfect now - these guys n gals are very down to earth honest people. Thanks Travis and Nikki! Hope you enjoyed donuts I brought you.

I had a dead battery one morning, and once getting a jump start from triple A I contacted several garages. I ended up just driving to a garage close to this one because I knew the owner, but he wasnt in and his crew was swamped for the day. They suggested I go to The Muffler Shop. Despite also being busy, and not having a great Internet connection that day I was in and out within 1hr max. Their shop reminded me of my own child hood small town garage where they were friendly and personable. Job well done guys!

Stopped in today to get a hangar repaired. Although they were swamped, they squeezed my smaller repair in. I appreciate them taking their time when they didnt have to. They also did not charge me even though they had to bring it in and put it on a lift and weld the hangar. The lady at the counter was very polite and helpful. I will be a repeat customer here on. Thank you guys for getting me fixed up for my road trip!

Went to a competitor within walking distance ...they 1st told me I needed a new muffler ...muffler was on back order so then all of a sudden they can still fix for about 40 $ less the cost of a new muffler ?????? Walked over to the muffler shop told them what just happened ....they fixed in 15 min for 1/3 of the price quoted from other shop. Would absolutely recommend...thanks guys you made my week!

I took my car in to get an exhaust consultation, because it was free and my car had a check engine light on that said catalytic converter bank 1 was having troubles. I left it there in the morning and was out by 2 p.m. having only spent $270, an amount much less then what Big Als on Witchduck would have charged me (try $1,000 less). Very quick service and very kindhearted. Would recommend to anybody
