I will try to keep this as short as possible. I went into this post office location last week, sent a padded envelope using first class mail. I didnt want to put a return address, but did want the package tracked. The clerk didnt ask any questions, she actually encouraged me to leave the return address off because of what I was mailing. Tracking was added, mail is sent, I walk out happy. Fast forward to this week, this time I go into the post office and the clerk tells me she cant add tracking to a package without a return address. I informed her that the clerk the week before did it no problem, she told me that she is unable to do it. We go back and forth about it, eventually she says "so what youre saying is you dont care about your package?" I just stared at her completely baffled. If I didnt care about my package, I wouldnt want to send it or add tracking! I explained to her how that comment was very rude, that Im just trying to figure out why she cant do it but someone else could. She told me "fine I am adding tracking". I paid, she gave me a tracking number and I left. Mind you, this tracking number was to be given to a customer who paid for the item. This morning I wake up to an email from my buyer that the tracking number I gave them was invalid. How embarrassing! I call the post office and this clerk tells me to come up to the location. When I get there, the clerk from the day before is also standing there. I explain to the new clerk my situation and she confirms using my receipt that no tracking was ever added to my package!! I asked why would i be given a fake number, this woman literally looked me in my face and said "she probably got sick of arguing with you and needed to help the next customer" and then explained to me its against policy to add tracking to a package without a return address. does that justify giving someone a fake number???? Why didnt they just tell me that? I am trying to become a reputable seller of a product, and I cant do that if they are handing out fake tracking numbers to people because they are too incompetent to know and explain their policies. If she was that sick of me, whos to say she didnt toss my package in the trash when I left? HORRIBLE customer service!! The woman I spoke to this morning I believe was the manager, Felicia, so if you EVER have any issues at this location I advise you to call corporate and tell them you want your complaint escalated. When I called today the customer service rep told me that she was going to do that because even she doubted anyone would do anything about my issue at store level. Never again will I step foot in this post office. EVER

Where do I start? My packages regularly go to either of 2 homes with the same number and similar street names, Ive gotten to know the people who live there quite well through the necessity of exchanging misdelivered mail. On more than one occasion, I was STANDING in my driveway when the carrier put my mail in the box and had a signature-required package. Rather than getting out of the truck ("dismounting" in archaic PO terminology) or calling me over they would fill out one of those "come to the postofficce to sign for your package" cards. Lately, Ive experienced an increasing frequency of mail that is "undeliverable as addressed". When I finally manage to get the items they are invariably clearly marked with my correct address. It is impossible to contact this office via phone. Im pretty sure the 424-8793 number is either disconnected or has been reassigned. Ive tried calling the 800-ASK-USPS number, what a joke! Enter your 64-digit tracking number eleventy-two times in a perpetual loop of aggravation and voice prompts that never provide any useful information. On the occasions where Im physically at the postoffice (to pick up my undeliverable, registered or mis-delivered mail) Ive asked if there was some report I could fill out so that my experiences would be relayed to someone of authority who might take some corrective action to improve the customer experience. Such requests are generally met with a stifled grin and something to the effect of "sure, you can fill out a form xxxxyyyyzzzz", then some rheteric about how to request it and mailing instructions. Clearly this is a government bureaucracy that has no concept of customer service. The USPS is the only shipping organization that has dedicated delivery boxes at every home and business in America, and a slew of very serious laws protecting items in their possession, 200 years of experience and federally-managed facilities in every zip code. UPS and FedEx have no such advantages and still kick their butt in efficiency and customer service while consistently turning a profit.

1. We bought a new home that this post office services. Took time off of work to register for and receive a new mailbox key. I presented our new home owners paperwork to a rather rude and curt lady who just said - "You must come back on the 15th of March for a key...next in line!". No explanation, no advice as to how to receive bills or important mail for the next 3 weeks!!! I just stood there thinking, "this is why people hate the USPS and why you are having to close offices - no customer service and no sense of urgency and no pride in your work". 2. So I take time off of work again on the 15th of March and come back to the post office with all of my new homeowners paperwork in hand and am told that keys are not available until later in the afternoon! So no key that day. So nice of the kind lady to have told me that three weeks earlier. We finally got our key at a later day and time that suited the Post Office. 3. It is now 4/17 and Ive noticed that were not receiving all of our mail (including newly ordered checks, my updated drivers license or my newly ordered tags) and just yesterday we receive a notice that the USPS has our property listed as being vacant and needed us to complete and return a form! All this after we showed them all the closing paperwork from our home purchase and saw them write in their little notebook that there are now two new homeowners at this address as of 3/3/12! I absolutely hate dealing with the Post Office! There was a time when you could count on prompt delivery and even a reliable postal worker who actually cared about what they did for a living and cared about the customers on their route. Now, I think they just show up to work to collect a paycheck and move around a little bit here and there. The USPS should be privatized and then they would see what it feels like to work for an employer that holds you accountable for your responsibilities!

I have only used this USPS location twice because of its convenience and it has only resulted in a waste of my time and money. After my second horrible customer service interaction I had to write a review of the embarrassment they call a business. I always put the shipping address and return address in the same place when I’m shipping boxes, The return says return and shipping says shipping , clear cut enough for USPS I thought…. This simple concept cannot be followed by educated adult workers who do nothing but handle boxes and make sure they make it on the right truck. I high school dropout could do this job better. Don’t let me forget their terrible customer service front desk people; they also must have an elementary education. The lady, who helped me ship my last package, noted I had placed the return address on the wrong side of the top of the box. I didn’t know this was possible considering BOTH ADDRESS WERE LABELED (return and shipping). My labels on the box were permanent, but I didn’t think reading could be so hard for government workers. The lady then told me it MIGHT or MIGHT not make it to its final destination (REAL PROFESSIONAL). I had the package shipped out anyways because of my lack of time (I spent 10.31 to ship it). Come to find out they mis-sent the package to my return address. Now I have to ship it again and pay somebody else to read a simple address and ship it there. If you have something important to ship avoid this location. Go to a UPS store
