Took my car in for blinking headlights. They told me I needed a charging system test. I had just had this done at ORileys, and said it was negative. They told me they must preform the test anyway, so I paid $47. Surprise surprise, there was no problem with the charging system. Then they told me it was a break light relay and headlight switch. $400 later they told me it was fixed, but they told me they broke something which rendered the car undrivable, and I had to pay $150 to fix it. We were annoyed but paid it. We picked up the car and 5 minutes down the road, the head lights were STILL blinking. Also all the coolant leaked out both into their parking lot and our driveway. It wasnt leaking when we had dropped it off, so we took it back, and they charged us another $500 to "fix the leak". Nobody called me, I had to call 5 minutes before they closed, because nobody called to say my car was ready, so I had to pay over the phone, without inspection. I payed, picked it up in the dark, and it was still leaking. Now they say it was another problem! They wanted $600 to fix that. And ouremember headlights are still blinking. We asked for a refund or to fix what they had damaged, but they refused. They asked us to call back when the owner returned after christmas to discuss a resolution. We called back after the first of the year and again asked for a refund of just the labor. They told us no. I would not recommend this business to anybody.

NOT A REAL EXHAUST EMISSIONS TESTER! TESTING IS DONE THROUGH COMPUTER CONNECTION ONLY.NOT EXHAUST OUTPUT. ANY computer issues will cause the vehicle to fail but expect them to charge you to knowingly run a pointless test. Any prices they quote for repair should be double checked to assure they arent actually recalled or under warranty which. Any Work done by them might also void the vehicles warranty. Be careful not to waste your time or money here. Theyre density is clearly more than just ignorance as I informed and explained to them prior to anything happening that my cars computer was under recall and faulty reading low O2 in the catalytic converter. I also explained that my goal was to test the catalytic converter itself with the emissions test. At this point an honest person would disclose that they dont measure actual emissions but use a computer reading device often available for free at most auto repair stores or shops. . So to precision tune I say thank you for the knowledge. Before stopping at precision tune you should take your car to OReillys and test your computer for free and avoid the state sponsored scam that is emissions testing. .

Update: Its with a heavy heart that I update this review. The air-conditioner we had PT fix lasted only 2 times before it stopped. :( More importantly, I recently took my new car to PT for an oil change, and with their coupon they told me it would cost $90 as my car required synthetic oil. We still had a free change at the dealership so we took it there. While at the dealership they told me the car DOES NOT require a synthetic oil, and that an oil change at the dealership is only $40 with the recommended oil from Honda. Previous review: usually try to avoid going to the mechanic, and change our oil and do basic maintenance at home. Its cheaper to get the oil changed at Precision Tune than to DIY, and the team is trustworthy and always has a smile. We have started bringing our cars in for the things we have been avoiding fixing, because we finally have a team we trust. My husband finally has a working AC and we didnt have to break the bank. My husband I have taken our cars here for over 15 years. We are welcomed warmly and professionally. Our cars are serviced promptly, suggestions are made about additional maintance issues that could be addressed then or wait for another time, and then we are on our way. Our service is always of the highest level of professionalism. Most of all every time we leave we are intensely thanked for our business. This is a Gig Harbor, family owned business that takes pride in their work, and knows that without customers and customer loyalty they wont stay in business for long...this is why they have stayed in business for so long! Thanks for great service and being a great part of our community.

Simply the BEST! When I arrived I mentioned that I felt my emissions problem should have been covered by the Toyota dealership, but when Id called Toyota in Tacoma theyd told me it wasnt. I had to get something done because Id failed the emissions test and couldnt renew my tabs. Not only did Aziz, Nasreen and Kit provide friendly, expert and wonderful service, they went FAR ABOVE by checking on the warranty and then calling the dealership for me. They got the dealership to admit that my problem IS covered and have saved me almost 2K in possible repair bills. I truly cant say enough good about the folks here at Gig Harbor Precision Tune!!! Thank you so much!!!

I recently had a “Check Engine” light issue with my 2003 Honda Civic EX. I dropped into the Gig Harbor Precision Tune for them to have a look at it. Aziz had his technician run a quick diagnostic which revealed a fuel related code. Aziz cleaned up and reseated the fuel cap for me. If the light remained on after a week, I was to come back in and they would investigate further. I was in their shop for a total of 15 minutes and sent on my way free of charge. Check Engine light problem resolved in about 5 days – fuel cap. Great courteous, friendly people at this shop! They definitely have my future business!

This place is a great place to get your oil changed and to get your car checked out. My father and I searched for years to find a decent shop like this and couldnt even find one in nearby Tacoma. So glad this place is right here in the Harbor. Ive had so many problems with other oil change service providers - like leaky oil after the service, etc. Ive never experienced anything like that here. These guys are professionals, they know what they are doing, and their office staff has always been friendly. I love bringing my car into Precision Tune in Gig Harbor. I wouldnt trust my car with anyone else.

Consistantly Good! I was going to Jiffy Lube down the road up until 2 years ago. I got so fed up with the "mediocre at best" service there that I decided to try Precision Tune. SO glad I did... Night and day, the Best customer service I have experienced in years. They go above and beyond "good" customer service... Always making me feel that they really want my business and want me to be satisfied with the job they do. I AM! You have a customer for life in me, and word aroUnd the Harbor is that many others feel the same way! Keep up the good work!

Precision Tune Auto Care is the best! They have the best customer service, the ladies at the front desk, the manager, and the mechanics! These guys know what they are talking about and would not give recommendations unless they were absolutely needed, and you can decide what work you want to be done because "youre the boss" :) The work they do is amazing and they are very honest! Just like their store in University Place, these two Precision Tune stores are the best! No other auto care store can compete!
