I, too, wish there was a way to give FedEX SmartPost, ZERO Stars! I live in one of the few towns in the USA where the US Post Office DOES NOT DELIVER THE MAIL to homes which lie, within the "city limits"! So, until FEDEX started using their "Smart Post" Service..I got "around" the problem of no mail delivery, by ALWAYS using ether FedEx or UPS to have ALL of my online purchases delivered to my door! You see, I am elderly, disabled, and can no longer drive myself to the P.O., to pick up my mail. So, sometimes my "mail" sits at the P.O., for a MONTH or TWO, before Im able to find someone to go the P.O. FOR me! So when FEDEX launched their SmartPost service, whereby all packages sent that way, drive right past your door to drop the packages at the POST OFFICE, for final delivery. And then, when UPS followed suit, shortly thereafter, with their OWN version, called "SurePost", I found myself "up-the-creek-without-a-paddle"! Since there IS no USPS DELIVERY (or pick-up) here...the Post Office, knowing FULL WELL that they are not going to DELIVER ANYTHING, to ANY homes here, still goes right ahead and ACCEPTS those packages, and then promptly STAMPS them; "UNDELIVERABLE!!" ...AND SHIPS THEM ALL, RIGHT BACK TO THE SENDER!! I got so furious, with this outrageous practice, that I hired someone to TAKE me to the P.O. where I spent 2 hours there. fighting with the Post Master. I feel at the very LEAST, they should HOLD the packages there, indefinitely, since after all, they ACCEPTED the packages knowing full well they were NEVER going to DELIVER them! And secondly, A. WHY do the citizens of OUR town and others towns LIKE us, get singled out for no MAIL DELIVERY or Pick Up SERVICE, and then B. Why are these SAME unlucky citizens forced to RENT a PO Box (currently at $76 a year) and then adding insult to INJURY WE have to DRIVE to the P.O. for the dubious privilege of picking that now, EXPENSIVE mail, UP....when nearly 400 MILLION people around the entire COUNTRY get their mail picked up AND DELIVERED to their homes, for FREE??? And, whats worse is; trying to find out from your shippers what style of shipping they actually plan to use! They will TELL you "FedEx or UPS"...but the people who take your orders over the phone, have no way of knowing at the time you place your order, if its going to go "Ground" or the infamous "Smart Post" or "Sure Post"!! Thats an outrage, in my opinion! In fact, the whole "concept" is totally ludicrous.

Well it looks like I am not the only one who is dissatisfied here. I ordered 2 items: a pair of boots and a bracelet set. It shipped from GA, went to OH, then WI, ND, MT. Then it arrives in OR (which is the state that I live in), just to go north to WA, which means that it will have to come BACK to OR. Maybe there is a perfectly logical explanation for this, but I cant comprehend and if there is I just cant see it.. Doesnt it make more sense to drop things off along the way? (The place in OR where they stopped is just outside Portland, which I would definitely imagine as having its own FedEx "SmartPost.", and I would also imagine that it is a major hub as well) The original estimated date of arrival was the 26th, then they pushed it back to the 28th, then the 30th, and now 2/01 is the expected date of arrival. I understand that the east coast has gotten slammed with winter storms, so I most DEFINITELY understand, Safety comes first, but the majority of the route shouldnt be getting slammed with the really bad winter storms. By the way, I ordered this parcel on 1/22/16. So, it has been a week, and is expected to take longer. I guess the storms are hitting the east coast so badly that the west coast cant brain...

I am going to give a 2 star review not because I like the service but on the contrary because as a seller my self I learned to not ever use FedEx. Bought item on the fifth, got overnight tracking code, I checked the code, item sitting at the warehouse, contacted seller, seller tells me is on FedEx end, I went to check sellers feed, bunch of complaints from people who got their products late or not at all meanwhile the package is sitting on the warehouse for 4 days before it starts moving, it gets across the nation almost 6 days later to troutdale literally within walking distance from my house 2 days later is in Kent Washington is the 16th of the current month and I am regretting not ordering from China it would of been here by now, hopefully at this stage is handed over to USPS so the pros can take over. This type of service can pretty much ruin an online business wonder why it hasnt ruined FedEx yet

can I leave NO STARS??? Explain to me: Ebay has been tracking my package for 9 days, it should have arrived 3 days ago, according to Ebay it ended up in Kent Wa yesterday, Here I am today still with no package but wait- thats not the best part. The best part is FEDEX has no idea where my package is!!! my tracking number shows no info according to fedex, and the Kent station doesnt know either? How can ebay know exactly where my package is but not the people handling it?? YOU OWE ME A SHIPPING REFUND- and WTF is up with sending my package to usps?? IF I WANTED USPS I WOULD HAVE SHIPPED THROUGH THEM!! I run an online business that is 100% contingent on shipping; NEVER again will I use your services nor purchase anything that ships through you. Sadly I know this review is a waste of time because fedex as a company doesnt give a crap, you already been paid.

I feel the pain of all the reviews, mine did the same thing. I gave it 5 stars simply because it IS the system they use. I used to work for the Post Office and they do the same thing. The Seattle area is a major hub for distribution centers so all items are "pre"-sorted at local areas but they do not have the final leg sorting. FedEx Kent, WA site has that, so all packages for the NorthWest go through this site. The USPS sends ALL mail that is being forwarded to Seattle, even if the mail recipient is next door, because they have the data on Forwarded mail. BTW, my package drove within 5 miles of my house today and will arrive back to me day after tomorrow. P.S. This is not a USPS service... it is a cooperation between them and FedEx (UPS has the same thing) because FedEx and UPS dont WANT to go to every address but the USPS already does!

It happened AGAIN. This is one star more than you deserve FedEx. On 2/28, day six on a four-day delivery route from a vendor I do regular business with out of Iowa, I decided to track my package. A package I paid extra to ship as it was needed before I leave on a business trip tomorrow, 3/1. My package was 20 minutes from my home town of Washougal, WA and In Transit from Troutdale, OR on 2/26...then, two days later has arrived at the FedEx SmartPost in Kent, WA...3 hours north of my house. Now, it shows a scheduled delivery date of 3/2...better known, as a day late. My God guys suck at this, and this is the only business you guys do. Do everyone a favor and let the big boys at UPS and USPS handle the shipping business from here. God, I miss Airborne Express...
