I have a 1993 F250 Diesel with an E4OD Automatic Transmission. I was having some intermittent problems with the Transmission. Having a background repairing heavy vehicles I felt that the Transmission was okay but had an PCM or Electrical issue. I have limited resources, tried a few different things, but nothing cured the problem. I went to the local Ford dealership, and they were very hesitant about working on it. I finally got them to look at it, and they told me it needed a FIPL which I told them I had already replaced. They then said it was not the updated FIPL. So they ordered the part for me. When the part came in I asked if they could install the part. They refused as they didnt know how to adjust it. Frustrated, I left after letting them know how I felt that a Ford dealership wouldnt even work on a Ford Truck. I installed the new part, and that didnt fix the problem. Then a friend told me about Thurston County Transmission, and told me to go see Larry Conners there. Larry went out of his way, and with a couple of visits, had directed me to the problem which I repaired. Now the transmission works perfectly, with much thanks to Larrys time, knowledge, experience, patience and professionalism. I highly recommend Thurston County Transmission as a place for your Transmission services or repairs. Thanks again Larry.

After several years of service from this company, the issues in our vehicles still existed. We had been thinking it was time to find another shop that was honest and reliable to actually resolve our issues. Jason was a big part of the fault of the company. His attitude and the way he treated me was disrespectful and beyond rude. Recently I referred my mother since her vehicle broke down near the shop only to have her treated horribly as well. Once again after a day of having the vehicle back the same issues happened Jason was again so awful and off putting. The owner was requested to speak to and he was even worse and hung up on my mother. I just cant fathom why people would want to run a company this way and drive away paying customers. We will never trust them with our vehicles ever again and have moved on to a shop that treats us with the upmost respect and actually cares about their customers. Worst experience ever!!! If there was a zero star rating, that would be correct. So unfortunate and waste of money and time!!

I had a pretty good experience here. My 2001 VW Passat was diagnosed at another place as having a transmission leak and had been acting funny, so I took it here to be serviced. They quoted me a reasonable price, and were able to get it done the same day I brought it in. I was also relieved they didnt try to sell me a bunch of work I didnt need; they were honest about my problem and now that I have my car back it seems to be running just fine. They only thing keeping me from rating 5 stars is that the guy behind the counter was working on some sort of child support affidavit when I came in and he was very curt, making me stand there while he copied info from his iPhone to the affidavit. When I came back to pick up the car he was also pretty curt; it was obvious he didnt want to spend any more time answering my questions then he had to. As long as the quality of the work hold up I will be back if I ever need transmission work again, but hopefully that guy will not be the one to help me...

I called Thurston County Transmission when my transmission went out on my 2001 Jaguar XJ8. After speaking with Larry and reading the positive reviews I decided to give them a shot. I knew that the dealer ship would be too much money, and the "dealer" alternative shops are in the same orbit despite their claims otherwise. Long story short, they came and drove car to the shop (it was in "safe mode"), ran a diagnostics on my error codes and asked permission, before charging me anything, to pull the transmission out for inspection of damage. After telling me the cost for pulling it, I gave them the ok and they were right in their diagnostics. Here is the best part, Larry gave me a quote that was much less than what I was expecting and then had the transmission rebuilt and ready in three days. We have been driving it for two weeks, I cannot recommend Thurston County Transmission enough for their integrity and ability and value! And Life Time Warranty

The transmission in my truck went out and was repaired by TCT and was covered under Thurston County Transmissions Lifetime warranty. For years this trucks transmission has been consistently serviced at this shop in order to keep the lifetime warranty valid. This year when it came time for the yearly transmission service I found myself several hundred miles away from their shop. I figured this would not be a problem because the warranty contract states "Must be performed only at TCT or shop authorized by TCT". After two days of trying to work with some disrespectful representative on the phone he finally tells me that TCT doesnt authorize any other shops in the country to change the oil in the trasmission!!! I suppose I will have to let my warranty expire but I assume they wouldnt cover the transmission if it was to go out anyway. I certainly wont ever do business here again.

This company is awesome. They did some major transmission work on my car and now its running beautifully. The mechanics were very upfront and honest about cost and about what was wrong with my vehicles transmission. (Of course, the giant hole in it was a dead give away that somethings was wrong...) :-) They were so thorough, they even did checks of other systems since they had the opportunity, and discovered my clutch was about to go out, then they fixed that as well, quickly and cost efficiently. We were very happy with Jason and his team, and very much appreciated that these guys are good people, incredibly knowledgable and experienced in the auto repair field. I would definitely recommend this business to friends and plan to return for future repair needs. Thank you for all you did for us, Thurston Co Transmission!

I am consistently surprised how caring, genuine, and trustworthy the people are at TCT. My car broke down in July of this year while on vacation and it left me stranded, thankfully in the town my brother lives in. He recommended TCT to have my car looked at, as this is the place he takes his vehicles to for work to be done. After having the work done in July and very happy with the service I was given, and the very reasonable cost. I now drive hundreds of miles away to have work done on my car by TCT due to once again their trustworthiness, caring, genuine, honesty, excellence in pricing and reliable work ethics. They have restored my faith in the auto industry that there are still decent shops out there. Kudos to them and I look forward to working with them in the future for any other automotive needs.

I recently had Thurston County Transmission rebuild the transmission in my Ford Expedition. My brother referred this shop to me after they rebuilt a transmission in his Isuzu truck. I tend to keep my vehicles for many years and many miles, so their lifetime warrantee on rebuilt transmissions is very much appreciated. Even with this warrantee, their pricing was lower than two other shops that I got estimates from. The mechanics are courteous and honest. They carefully went over all the work they performed on the truck, and gave me specific recommendations on maintenance for high mileage vehicles. They went above and beyond in resolving a side issue unrelated to the transmission repair. I would happily recommend this shop to anyone needing transmission work.
