Used to work for firestone, so ive done this a million times, its easy. Came in for a flat repair on a Toyota solara, easy stuff. First the technician didnt use anything to protect our leather seats or interior, then when they had a problem taking the wheel off, and rather than informing us that the lug nut was cross threaded, they broke the stud, patched the tire and attempted to re thread the stud. Which is not something you do, once a stud is damaged, you replace it, they take 15 minutes to replace. They then told us that rather than replacing the stud right then, that they didnt have time today and we would have to wait until Saturday to replace the stud. Then they even wrote on the paperwork that the stud was broken on arrival and tried to avert the blame onto us for having a cross threaded stud, even though the last service was done at toyota of bellevue. This shop isnt honest, and doesnt care about the customer. P.S. they set the tire pressures wrong. On the 06 toyota solara, the tire pressure is supposed to be 32psi, and the tech set it to 35 when they were previously 30, and told us the tire pressure was significantly low. So the tires were closer to being correct before they adjusted the pressure. P.S.S when I got home to replace the stud, one of the lug nuts were already coming a bit loose, and the plug is improperly repaired, withe the plug sitting below the tread, meaning the plug isnt going to vulcanize with theach rest of the tire.

Poor customer service. I dropped off wheels and tires to be mounted and they didnt call me at any time to tell me that they were going take 3 days to complete. I called them and they told me they needed to fix their machine and that they had the part to do so. I called back on day 2 and they said they hadnt gotten around to fixing their machine yet and had been too busy with other customers. For a place that does not take appointments this does not sound like a first come, first serve approach. Was I not a customer who was there, left my wheels and tires, to be first in line for two of the three days? After I got my wheels and tires back, I put them on my car myself and ran it over to them to reset the TPMS (which takes about 1 minute). The manager, Kevin, told me that they wouldnt "loan out" their machine (which is a small $70 handheld scanner) to me even though my vehicle was parked 4 feet from their building. Instead they wanted me to wait about an hour for their next open tech and then (I assume) charge me for it. I went down the road to the Chevy dealer who happily handed me their scanner which I used myself in their parking lot and left in less than five minutes total. Poor customer service and the manager Kevin is unprofessional.

Their staff is not knowledgeable nor thorough -- on two different occasions they have utterly messed up. 1. Had them check my trucks emergency brakes since we had driven with them on. They claimed they were fine so we drove another 500 miles .. later the brakes were acting up so I went in to another place to have them checked .. their diagnosis, your emergency/rear brakes have failed and now you need all new brakes since all your braking was done with only the front. 2. Went in for tires and they said the CV axle boots were torn -- said ok replace them, they order parts, come back a week later, then they tried to install the wrong parts, six hours later they put the original part back in. Another week goes by, they re-order, re-install, I drive it and the front end is thumping and squealing, and the stability control light comes ono -- take it back -- Les Schwab says nothing wrong? Ok take it to the dealer -- they find a bent brake plate and say other issues caused by the axles. Now? cars stability control keeps coming on. I might trust them to put on a set tires but after reading the other reviews -- I think I have to go torque them myself.

I discovered my front tire was thread bare to the point of being dangerous and decided to replace the front two. Les Schwab was unwilling to sell two, insisting I replace all four, lying about the nature of the back two, forcing us to drive home on the hottest day of the year with a tire (pictured below) that could blow at any second. Its obvious Kevin, the manager, saw that we were on a family trip and decided to try to scam us into buying two more tires then we needed. He was obtuse and ignorant claiming the back two tires were snow tires because right next to where the tire clearly read all season tire was a snowflake icon. Even after being showed the Nokian All Weather Plus website, would not budge preferring to put my family at risk then do the right thing. After taking side streets home I found a Les Schwab in my neighborhood that replaced the tires without incident. Avoid the North Bend Les Schwab at all costs. Scammers.

I and several of my friends have gone to Les Schwab only to be told they needed major repairs to the front end of their car. They then go to another mechanic who cannot confirm Les Schwabs findings, because theres NOTHING WRONG with the car! It is obvious that they are only in business to make as much money as possible off of every body that comes in their door, and have no interest in good, repeat customer business. One of my friends took her car in, to be told that she needed all new steering components. She took their estimate and her car to another mechanic, who found that there was only one small component that was STARTING to get loose, which he replaced for her at a savings of about $1200!! Myself and another friend have had similar experiences. I cannot recommend Les Schwab for anything other than an emergency tire issue.

Shocked and awed that Les Schwab did not complete the services we requested and paid for. Once the vehicle was in their garage, my husband just assumed that they had completed the work. But, when I drove the vehicle the tires had not been balanced, they bounced all over. I returned and had the manager drive the vehicle, he came back from the drive saying nothing was wrong, but put the vehicle back in the service area. I decided to watch them balance the tires this time and found the tires were 4.75 off in balance, indicating they had not been balanced the first time the tires were installed. Its pretty scary when you go to for automotive repairs and they take your money and dont actually do the work. Especially when you are risking the safety of your 16 year old student driver in that vehicle.

I’ve been going here for ALL my tires, brakes and shocks since they opened in the late ‘80s. However my last few trips there have been like an episode of the Twilight Zone. $1,000 for brakes. $1,000 for shocks. $800 for tires. WHAT?! I don’t own some fancy import or a sports car – I own one of the most generic cars ever built – a newer Honda Accord. A bit or research shows the Honda dealer charges slightly cheaper prices. Used to be Les Schwab was MUCH cheaper than the dealer. For the record the service is still top notch though I still don’t like the fact they don’t take appointments save for a few specific services (but it’s always been that way). 3 out of 5 starts - good service but prices are far too high.
