Every small business could take lessons from this guy. Understand it is a one-man show so he isnt always in the shop. If you need a key made it is best to call ahead because he may be out rescuing someone locked out of their car. But he will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. I had an oddball key for a motorcycle with locking bags and trunk. He stuck with it and finally customized something that would work. Then he didnt charge me because it wasnt a "perfect" solution. Well, it worked fine and it got me out of a pinch. You dont often find that kind of integrity any more. Needless to say, I insisted and paid him anyway. It was a small token especially considering how much time and skill he put into it. Give this guy your business, you wont be disappointed.

I accidentally locked a 70+ year old steamer trunk for which I have no key. It was jammed and Jim persistently worked on it and succeeded in getting it open for me! Not only that, but Jim was very friendly, knowledgable, professional, and clearly a hard worker. Note that it appears Jim is in high demand, so its best to call ahead. I was there on a Monday morning, and there was a constant stream of walk-in traffic, and the phone was ringing off the hook. Probably because he does such a great job! I would highly recommend Advantage Lock & Key!

I would recommend this company to anyone who looses or is locked or of their car. I lost my keys in Costco and have no spare and called this company and they sent out Owen . He got my car open so I could put my 1 year old daughter and mother in thecar and had the key made within 30 mins and was so helpful and courteous to my family. He was so concerned that the first thing to do was get my child in the car. I can not express how amazing Owen and this company. Thank you so much advantage lock and key especially Owen you are the best.

Was blown away by this place. Im a disabled Vet and my motorcycle gas tank had been stuck shut for a month. I barely had enough gas to get to the locksmith. It took about 20 minutes and I had 2 working keys, the locksmith surprised me when I asked what the damage was and he stuck his hand out to shake mine and said "Thank you for your service. That was the 2nd time in 17 years of being an amputee that anyone has shown that kindness to me. I wish I would have caught his name to thank him properly.

Locked my key in the car only a few businesses down from this place. I went with him because he was closest and so glad I did!! He was there in like 10 minutes, only took him a few minutes to get into my 2013 Camry and he even threw in a free extra key. Key doesnt have a chip in it so it wont start the car but at least I have a back up in case I lock the other one in the car again!! Such a nice guy!! Very good price too! Thank you so much!!!!

I dont often review businesses, but Advantage Lock and Key has provided me exceptional service on several occasions and Im compelled to share my opinion. Its a small shop, and the owner / operator is good at his trade, great with customers, charges extremely fair prices, and stands behind his work. If you need a locksmith in or near Olympia, you cant go wrong with Advantage.

Bad customer service!! I waited in line!! finally my turn, he starts on my truck box, than customer Walks in and helps her, between this another customer Walks in he had enough nerve and says looks like it be a few more min. What he was saying is, there time is more important than mine.

My key broke and it only took a moment to fix. The guy that fixed it came out to the car to make sure it would start. It was close to closing on a Friday night. I had been stuck in traffic trying to get there and the first place I got too closed early. So it was a relief.

Great service! Was leaving town and needed to change locks on my house asap. He was over in 20 minutes and finished changing all locks in under an hour. Keys and locks good quality and work well. Very professional, polite and efficient. Would use again!
