My experience was terrible! I needed to have a new bumper skin and my existing mud flaps painted to match the rest of the car. Tony, the manager, was having difficulty finding the code for the paint but said that they would have no problem matching. When I returned it was obvious that the paint was not the same. My existing paint was a gold color and the paint they used was silver. Tony, who was a nice guy when I brought my car in, became very combative and tried to tell me that I was wrong about the color not matching. He eventually, after a long and drawn out argument, agreed that the colors did not match but then proceeded to tell me that the color matched the original color of the mudflaps that I brought in (I brought the bumper skin and mudflaps in). I argued that the new color was not the same as the original paint on the mudflaps. I suggested rubbing the new paint off of the mudflap to reveal the original color to prove my point. Tony brought the head paint tech to the counter to see if that would work. The tech said yes, and I said I was willing to pay for the repaint if I was wrong, but Tony back tracked and said he didnt want to do that. Eventually Mike the owner got involved but he would only cover the labor, not materials, to fix their screw up. I did not want them messing up my car anymore and found the compromise unacceptable so did not have them do the work. I was thinking that all Maaco stores must be this way. I had been warned that you get what you pay for and after dealing with the Puyallup Maaco I believed it (Tony should not be working with the public). The good side of this story is that I eventually had the paint job repaired at the Kent Maaco and the work was perfect. Jeff and his crew in Kent understand great customer service and do excellent work. Since this repair job I have had a complete vehicle paint job at the Kent Maaco and once again Jeff and his crew came through with flying colors.

Worst paint job ever! Read this before choosing them. (This is my personal experience and opinion) It all started when my 1990 truck factory paint started to fade, about 6 years ago. It was a duel color paint (red and sliver). To make life easy for them and faster pickup time for me, I opted for one color, blue. At that time I paid a little over $5,000 for them to paint my truck. Within the first year, the paint was bubbling up and peeling off on the cowl and gutter. I asked them to reprint the cowl. They asked me to remove the cowl and bring it in and will be done with in a week. I asked them for extra paint so I could fix the gutters. As time went by (2 years after), I noticed red color showing around the trim. I brought the truck in to show them. I was told that the package I selected did not include the removal and painting of the trim areas. So I proved to them that no where in my paper showed or stated that. I asked them to fix the areas. They stated that the package only came with a one year guarantee and if you wanted it fixed, we will have to charge you full shop hours and paint price. I refused to take that offer. It was not my responsibility to pay for there mistake. He then offered me a 50% discount, and the bill still came out in price of $1,500.00. I refused that option too. Overall... they didnt pre prep the truck right the first time which allowed the paint to bubble and peel off. They didnt make an effort to do what I paid for the first time. Today may 31st 2017: I just installed my cowl onto the truck (its been on the shelf since they repainted it and was dusty) I washed the truck, and 90% of the paint came of the cowl from using soap and a sponge. I can see they never sanded or preped the area as I can see shiny old factory sliver paint now. Looks like Im going to be painting my truck soon. Ill post before and after photos when I finish.

I showed up at 5:05, when it says on here that they close at 5:30. I asked if I could pick up my car, but the guy refused because the garage was closed and there was 2 cars behind mine. So I paid for the job and said "you guys really need to change your closing time on Google, I live over an hour from here" the guy flipped out on me. Said that he doesnt need my attitude. While I was waiting for my receipt he called a tech from the back to escort me out. I got my receipt and began to walk out and this guy starts pushing me from behind. Im already outside of the doors on the sidewalk when I say "dude stop touching me" I turn around and the guy is half an inch from my face and he pushes me as hard as he can off of the curb. I was barely able to catch myself from falling backwards on the asphalt. It was incredibly unprofessional and rude. I was upset. But not overly so and I did not need to be touched like that. Im completely baffled by the unprofessionalism and will never use this place again. Im not sure what to do even. People in a customer service related job should not behave like this. the owner of the car I was there to pick up is a pierce county detective. Im going to talk to him about what I should do about this.

Wanted to take this very special time to thank Tony and the crew for doing such an very outstanding job on my 1995 ford mustang. They painted the entire vehicle grabber blue which was completely teal when I purchased it in 1995. I personally want to thank the painter who did this job, the job was outstanding and his time and devotion to his work shows. He is a very outstanding painter and highly professional, I can recommend him to everyone who wants a professional paint job and a sharp looking vehicle. My sincere gratitude and thankfulness for his attention to details were far more than I ever expected. The Maaco team made this vehicle the showcase for all to see, just what an outstanding job (supreme paint) Maaco offer their customers. I just wanted to let you know how happy it is to own a vehicle completely repainted in every way. WOW, thank you Tony for your outstanding job and to all crew members who take their jobs very serious and make me proud to own and drive a beautiful restored 1995 Mustang Coupe.

Can I give them zero stars? I guess not. They were extremely RUDE when we went to pick up our car (insulting my husband for calling to ask if the car was ready before he headed over to pick it up) AND they did a crappy job. The dent repair was mediocre, but the paint job is NOT a match to the car. They said it would be blended in, but did not, and in the process, they scratched up our tinted windows and tail light. When we complained and did not want to pay for the TERRIBLE paint job (we were willing to pay for the dent repair) they were unwilling to work with us on that. They continued making personal insults. Eventually they took some of the cost of the paint job off, but not all of it. Now we have scratches that we didnt have before AND we still have to get a new paint job done. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. A nearby business (we used the restroom and told them the story) said this was an extremely common story with the Puyallup Maaco. Seriously, a terrible experience.
