I was looking for places to get my Fiances 03 VW Jettas brakes replaced as they needed servicing very badly. After calling around to places in the Bellevue area, no one had any open slots for immediate service or were extremely expensive, I called Mike and Dave and AA Auto Service. They were extremely helpful over the phone in getting me a price quote for normal service. I was quoted around 350$ for one axle, this seemed a little high to me at 1st glance but you get what you pay for here. I was also on a bit of a time crunch as I was calling at noon and had to be back in Bellevue by 5. They said they should be able to get it done no problem and if worst come to worst they had a rental that they would be able to lend me in the interim. That compounded with a 1st time customer discount that I was offered sold me on this place. Upon getting there I was warmly greeted by both Dave and Mike and they said that they would get my car on the jack as fast as possible and see what the damage is. Turned out that all the pads and rotors needed replacing. They even took me out to the shop and let me take a look for myself as the mechanic was explaining the nuances of working with a VW and what all was happening withing the braking system. I have never had a shop due this with their customers before and it was very welcome. This jumped the price and very possible the time it would take to complete quite a bit. The new quote ended up being 675$ish and I was not really excited to hear that. Upon voicing my concerns Mike was very frank and told me to pretty much just lay it on him. I voiced that I felt that was a little high and he assured me I could get the work done cheaper but at the expense of parts, this is where things get good, AA Auto tests out all their products and sells/recommends only what they are comfortable installing on their own vehicles. This put my mind at ease a bit and he said he knows the feeling when it comes to spending a lot of money on car maintenance especially when bills are due the and other life issues. He then worked his magic and gave me a nice "good faith" discount per say. While I was there they had other customers come in from all over. There was even a guy that came down from Everett to get his car serviced and you could tell he goes only here as they knew him by name and were just chatting it up like old college pals. I ended up out the door with a bill of 605$ and just over 4 hours later. Everyone was extremely upfront and friendly, including the owner Aaron, the entire experience really made me feel like they care about their customers as if they were family as any good business should. I will highly recommend this place to anyone who needs work done and will be taking my 95 del sol to them exclusively. PS Aaron if you are reading this feel free to let me know if you need any IT work done I left my contact info with Dave. Thank you again for a very welcome experience and no where near the boring afternoon I thought I was going to have.

Took my sons older car in because it had failed emissions. I told them he only wanted to pay the minimum $150 to get a waiver because there were numerous emission codes and the cost to address them all would be prohibitive and my son could not afford more. He was called and told the bill was $220. Also told that his car needed $6,000 worth of work. Its a $2,000 car at best. I drove my son to pick up his car from the shop and spoke to the gentleman who I had told about wanting only the minimum diagnosis and repairs, $150. He did reduce the bill to about $154 plus tax after I argued. When I read the technicians report, it stated, in part, that the timing chain tensioner may be bad and the timing may be off and the valve covers would need to be removed to check this. My sons car does NOT have a timing chain. It has a timing belt and camshaft timing can be checked by removing two plastic covers which are clipped to the front of the engine, which takes a few seconds. It is proclaimed that the technicians are specialists. How can they not know this? Did they even open the hood? If they are going to fill a repair order out with BS, at least make it believable BS. All credibility lost in this facility. Additionally, I did check the valve timing and it is not out of specifications.

I took my RAV4 to this shop to get the front left fender replaced and to do alignment. When i went to pick up the car, the fender liner was not properly hooked to the fender and they told me they could not get the right screws(and that i could get it from toyota dealership). And the worst part, when i picked up the car and was driving home, the traction control lights came on which was not there before i dropped the car off, and most annoyingly the alignment did not feel right. They charged me more than 200$ for labor by the way. I took the car back to the shop the next day and met this old guy, so i was respectful and tried to explain what had happened. To my utter surprise, he wouldnt even listen to me and started yelling and just brushed me aside. I was frustrated and told him i will never come back to the shop and his response was "Go and never come back", i couldnt believe it. I took the car to a different shop and explained the situation, they did the alignment again and performed zero point calibration and the traction control light went off. This was a bitter experience with AA auto because i took my car to get some done and they ended up giving me more problems and couldnt even admit it. I learned a bitter lesson, so take a cue from it! A word to the wise is enough!

I had been going to this facility for a few years- always had awesome service- however about a year ago- one of the regulars left and a new guy replaced him- and short of sounding cocky here- the guy has terrible customer service skills- I have had no less than 3 run-ins with him (once over the phone) and a friend had the same issue- oddly enough- when in a local Starbucks speaking to someone and they mentioned the auto service center- I had remarked I just stopped going there as well as two of my friends due to this rude- new guy at the desk- oddly enough the stranger at Starbucks KNEW who I was speaking about and said the same thing- sad- because Cliff is awesome as are the mechanics and other people there- just have no patience for the new guy and his lack or personality/customer skill set- would rather not deal with someone like that- too frustrating - have tried to call Cliff to setup on going service but this guy ended up answering the phone and immediately I could tell it was the rude guy- so I just said - wrong number and got off the phone-
