Do not have Zahntech do any major repairs. They do great basic service, great for routine maintenance. I had an engine rebuilt ($5k), and brought it back to Zahntech after 1 month the engine was losing coolant. They could not (would not), find the leak and did not believe me. I brought it back to them 5 - 6 times over the course of 5 months because the engine lost coolant - constantly. Long Story Eventually I forced them to pull the head - tiny hairline crack in the head - they said I overheated it and wouldnt fix it without me paying again for another head. I wish I could have forced them to look into the engine further, because 4 months later the engine needed rebuilding again ($5k), That coolant leak caused 2 cylinders piston rings to gauld and bind (probably loss of lubrication), gared up the cylinder walls ++. The fact that I brought my car in complaining about coolant loss on thier engine rebuild and they didnt believe me and they couldnt/wouldnt even find the leak 5 times just tells me they did not want to be responsible for the work they performed. Aaagh, I cant go on. Beware of major mechanical work here.

Flat out THE BEST mechanics you will find. I have been a loyal customer ever since I found them over 5 years ago. They have serviced all of my vehicles since then (VW, Volvo, BMW, Dodge). They are highly knowledgeable and willing to talk through the details with you. If there is a situation that they are not sure how to fix, which is rare, they will do what it takes to figure it out. A few years ago I had a recurring, difficult to diagnose, and undocumented problem with a vehicle. They went the extra mile researching on the internet and experimenting with solutions, finally coming up with a fix. They are always honest about what needs to be done and how the work is progressing. They are never pushy and will give solid advice on prioritizing fixes when you are on a tight budget. I have been burned by other shops in the past, so at first I inspected their work, but I have given up over the years. Their work is always thorough. I cannot give them enough praise. I recommend them to my friends whenever I get the chance. Read the reviews, give them a shot, you will not be disappointed!

All was good until I had them double check the repair my son did. They had it a week and said there was no problems. As I was about to pick it up, all of a sudden it wont start and needs a $600 fuel pump installed after my son just replaced it. Way too strange for me!! Im having it towed and get a second opinion before I just fork over $600!! Response to owner. Your statement is not true. My son replaced the fuel pump way before we took the car to you. Your diagnosis was to replace a sensor, which my son did. So, your diagnosis was incorrect if you now say its the fuel pump. The fuel pump was only $150. You want $600 to replace it. UPDATE: The problem was a relay. A $20 part. It took my ex time to figure it out. But fixed it for $20 and it runs perfect now. I wonder how much it would have cost me to let you guys fix my car! You stated you were 100% positive it needed a new fuel pump. What do you say now?

After posting a truthful negative review on Yelp about the unprofessional manner in which the owner of this company treated me, he then called my company to harass me where an apology for his rude behavior would have been more appropriate. As a business owner I deal with many people and businesses all over the country and have for over 20 years. I have seldom been so moved by an individuals rudeness to publicly post such a negative review. As on Yelp the owner is likely to comment here that I was calling with a sales pitch and he didnt have time or interest in talking with me. The fact is he doesnt know why I was calling before making a rude comment and hanging up, twice. These are the facts. Judge for yourself.

Ive had ZahnTech work on my vehicles off and on for a few years now. Ive always been very happy with the service Ive received. Additionally in the past theyve done a number of "small" things without being asked and without charging me. On a former vehicle of mine they fixed a creaky drivers-side door and most recently took care of replacing a burnt out tail light bulb for me. They will bring up service that need to be done however have never batted an eye when Ive taken that information and done it myself (blood sweat and tears) or had it done elsewhere (mistake). Theyve always been very prompt and responsive to my needs and I will continue to trust them with my auto needs.

I use Mat and John @ Zahntech for my major repairs. updates and other diagnosis/repairs I dont want to do myself. They have been accurate in their diagnosis on my Passat TDI, including those things to know about with cars beyond their warranties, including those preventive repairs you wont know about until its broken. One local dealer parts counter guys rate Johna and Mat as one of their 3 top repair shops where they sell parts. This is an "in the business" endorsement for sure. My TDI is 200K miles, and gong for 300K... :-)

My wagon needed some work. Most shops would require a week to do the work entailed and charge beaucoup $$$. The folks at Zahntech not only replaced my clutch & flywheel, but also my thermostat and fixed many leaks. Oh, and they did it all in 2 days. The work was impeccable. The owners are honest people who work hard and treat customers with respect. Ill be returning to Zahntech for my repair needs and recommend them to anyone looking for a great automotive repair and service place.

I found Zahntech through the small dealership who sold me my car. These mechanics are as great a find as my car, which I love. They do quality work and are so HONEST and fair! For example, they gave me a preliminary quote for my 30k mile service, but at the end of the day came back and said it was cheaper because not everything on the list was needed. I would never have known the difference. They earned a customer for life with that one move.

Ive been using Zahntech exclusively for many years. No complaints. I drive an Audi with 75K miles on it and like all German cars with mileage its needing constant TLC. Clogged heater core? They fixed it with a wonderful MacGuyver cleaning setup without needed to pull it, saving me a pile of cash. While I never fail to gripe about paying the "German Car Tax" I never have a reason to gripe about the service here.

I recently had a pre-purchase inspection done by Zahntech. They came highly recommended, and I was not disappointed. I was completely satisfied, and very impressed with their thoroughness and willingness to discuss every detail of the inspection. They found many things wrong with the vehicle, and gave me a really helpful, accurate picture of its condition. I look forward to working with them again in the future.

Once again these folks come through with shinning colors! I have reviewed before and I must say Matthew, John and Rachael just consistently offer the best service for the money. In the world of VW TDI Matthew has won many a customer and they keep coming because the word is out! I am always proud to refer these folks to others. Thanks for great service, integrity, attention to details and technical know-how!
