CAUTION with out of state move with Continental/Mayflower - Unigroup. Look at Yelp and Other reviews to understand that Continental is under the larger umbrella of Unigroup - which is Mayflower & United, which apparently Continental contracts with? We are incredibly disappointed with the services. False promises and reassurance made in order to get us to sign moving contract with them. Unprofessional experience. Missing items including my wedding dress. Over 50% of furniture damaged. Only ONE mover (who is not even part of Continental/Mayflower) moved ALL of our inventory from truck to our destination - as apparently the other movers were a no show (you can see why over 50% of large furniture damaged when only 1 person lifting, carrying etc!!!). Quite frankly, this is not how a professional company should conduct itself; nor what we paid for (which was nearly $10,000). See also Better Business Bureau Complaint: 12344993 I am rejecting this response because: Mayflower has not addressed any of the issues or concerns which I have raised: 1. Terms of moving contract not fulfilled: We were promised by Continental/Mayflower that all furniture would be padded and wrapped when moved into the storage. This was NOT done. And because of this, 50% of large furniture damaged. 2. Delay in move in date: We were asked to move up the date of our packing in order to have our furniture arrive to destination during the requested window. Despite us moving our packing date sooner, Continental/Mayflower still arrived 2 days after the promised window date and therefore we were NOT in the country to check and confirm inventory. The inventory was to be moved into a storage unit and we had to have the Storage manager sign for us - since we were out of the country, which Continental/Mayflower was very well aware of the importance of these dates. In other words, they knew we would be out of the country and that was why the arrival date was so important to us; and why we had to waive our inventory review when delivery actually happened. 3. A non-Mayflower Employee moved ALL our furniture: One mover unloaded and moved ALL of our furniture into the storage unit. Because of this, damages occurred to our furniture - and raises concern for missing items as well. This was ONE person who does not work for Mayflower and was a friend of the Driver and typically a driver himself - and obviously not very familiar with how to care for furniture/inventory. 4. Missing wedding dress: This was logged as inventory that was Packed by Owner (a big white wedding box that says wedding gown and has picture of gown!) with an inventory # on it. Again, given reasons #2 and #3 above, anything could have happened to this. Continental/Mayflower did not abide to contractual agreement as well as several emails forwarded that assured us of #1 and #2 and this has still not been addressed; and #3 - ONE non-Mayflower mover was certainly not part of a moving company contract that we will have MOVERS and not one person. Continental/Mayflower should understand that they cannot treat their customers like this and future potential customers must be advised that this is how Continental/Mayflower conducts themselves.

We moved our home and our business at the same time.....right after the holidays....during my busiest season. To say the least, there was a lot of stress going on. Jeff came to our home to assess our moving needs. He was great! Fast & efficient and had all of the answers for me. Our moving coordinator, Jamie, was equally as great. He made me feel confident that things would go well on moving day. When moving day arrived, the crew (Chetto, Tony & Julio), arrived a few minutes early. They were incredibly friendly and we felt immediately comfortable with them. They were well organized and FAST! It is obviously a very physical job. They never seemed to tire and were always happy and smiling. Such a pleasant group of guys! The unloading into the new home was equally as efficient. The billing process went exactly as described and came in a few dollars under the original estimate! Our expectations were definitely exceeded. Every single person involved helped make this stressful process so smooth. I HIGHLY recommend and will be using again on our future move down the road!

I contacted Continental for the move from 2 storage units in Kent to my new home in Tacoma. Larry was my initial contact. He was very professional and explained the entire process. The cost was very reasonable considering I would have to hire a moving truck, talk my 3 sons into helping with the move during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays, then cover any chiropractic care when it was done. It was quick, painless process to set up. The three young men who came to do the actual move were amazingly professional and funny! Even on that stormy day when we moved! They never complained and worked so hard to get the job done. Nothing was broken or damaged. And in the new house, if one of the saw me struggling to move a box, they were right there to move it for me. They even took a few minutes to help me put together my huge solid oak dining room table. I would definitely call on Continental again! It was money well spent!!!

Continental Van Lines moved my household goods in late June. It was a super hot day---85 degrees--- a miserable day to be moving. My guys Javier, Tony, Julio, Eddie and Herman worked hard and fast for nearly 12 hours to pick up and deliver my stuff. It was a challenging move with lots of stairs coming out and going in. I am amazed at how strong these guys are. I have super heavy furniture and 40 boxes of music to move up and down stairs and they did a great job. I appreciated how well they got along and everyone did their share of the work. They took care to protect floors and wrapped all the furniture. I would highly recommend Continental to any of my friends and family. The best part was my bed was set up in the new house for me to flop into at the end of a very long day. Thanks to Jeff and Jamie for sending me a great crew.

As our first interstate move, we were apprehensive about choosing a mover - especially with all the horror stories out there. But we made the right choice! Continental (Mayflower) was spot on; very professional, kept us informed and the quote was right on the money. Also, when we arrived in Austin (from Snoqualmie Ridge) the area was too small for a large truck to unload, so they rented a smaller truck to shuttle everything over - at no additional cost to us. The crews on both ends were professional and fast, and Chuck the driver should receive an award - for loving his job and taking care of the people and whatever may arise. We would recommend them to anyone. (Note - we had packed ourselves, so we cannot vouch for that service.)

I could not be more pleased with Continental Van Lines. Jim Krause, the sales/estimator was professional and helped provide some packing boxes we needed - that was unexpected and appreciated. Sarah Hazard, the move coordinator, kept us well informed and was very pleasant to deal with. Monty Morgan, the driver/packer, was truly a pro. He worked hard along with his crew to get our belongings protected for the move and packed so nothing was damaged. He was meticulous in preparing the inventory. Nothing was lost in transit. I enjoyed his sense of humor. I recommend this moving company without reservation and would not even "bid out" the work if I needed moving services in the future.
