Express Movers are the best movers ever!! Here’s the story: Learned I was moving from Seattle on Wednesday before Labor Day. Had to be moved by Sunday. Searched for a mover who would take the job with such short notice and at a reasonable fee. Checked the BBB, and other review sites and found Express Movers. I explained to the owner that I had a LOT of stuff to pack and move. I was unable to help with the move as I had suffered a compression fractured vertebrae. She was able to schedule the move to take place over two days, Friday and Saturday. She gave me a quote that was within my price range. And, she locked the bid so that I would not be faced with additional costs. Come Friday Express Movers showed up on time with the contract that matched the bid. Three men worked for 12 hours and a fourth for 6 hours to do the packing and loading of everything into the truck. All of the men were professional, organized, courteous and not one of them complained about the amount of work to be done. I especially appreciated Vaughn’s (the supervisor), and his brother Vaughnito’s friendly attitudes. When they were done I drove 120 miles to my new home while the movers stored the truck in a secure lot overnight. Saturday two of the movers drove stop-and-go on I-5 for hours because of the holiday traffic. When they arrived they unloaded everything into two storage spaces. Once again they went beyond what any reasonable person would have expected and made the move painless for me. Express Movers got the job done beautifully despite: • the late notice • the huge amount of stuff to pack, load, and move • my inability to help • the distance they had to drive through terrible traffic • and the low bid they gave me Express Movers went above and beyond anything I could have expected. The entire move became a hassle free experience for me. When you need to move and want the very best hire Express Movers!! I recommend them wholeheartedly with no reservations!! You will never regret it!!

It took me 3 months to calm down and write this review. Moved 26 miles across Seattle. Had an elderly man with a bad back, an obese gentleman, and 2 younger fellas help us move. Broke my head board with in 5 minutes of moving. Received a comment about how nice it was the all the boxes were ready and stacked in my garage so not sure why it took them 14 hours to move us. Before leaving my old house for good, went to use restroom and they clogged my toilet.(got to go back 3 days later to unclog) When we got to my new house I had thought I was paying professionals to unload where I wanted and help set up all my furniture. It got so bad the me, my wife, my nanny, and sister were helping unload. At the end I was so frustrated I had them place my furniture in the garage and I had to put together at a later time. They wanted to give me $60 to replace a $1000 ruined bed frame. I said unacceptable. The owner called me 12 hours into the move to explain the reason why for the low ball offer. I told Toni that 12 hours into a move with crying children and frustrated customers was not a good time to settle a complaint. She ended up taking a couple hundred dollars off the bill because they did not complete the job and broke our head board. We were able to replace the broken part for $400(Toni proactively called and misquoted at $300). We never agreed to the final bill although she pointed out that they had a contract and didnt need to negotiate. Toni will reply to this like a proactive owner but our final discussion was about her going out and observing her employees so she can witness the qualify of work which I am sure she hasnt. Oh and there business is located 7 miles from my house and it took them 2 weeks to deliver my broken headboard. Hindsight I wouldve had better service hiring my buddies. Go elsewhere for a mover.

Poor moving experience. We are moving from Seattle to SF, and we hired Toni and Express Movers to load our ABF truck (I got Tonis name from Movingscam, which is usually good for finding these things). Vaughn, Nelson and Michael were prompt and friendly, but it mostly went downhill from there. First, they were really, _really_, slow. What should have been a 6 hour move, at most, became an 8 hour move (@155/hour). It occurs to me (now) that they have no incentive to keep the hours down, and so Im assuming thats part of it -- its not like theyre going to find 2 other hours of work. Worse -- the packing was poorly done. We had to go back in to the moving truck to add a rug, and we were shocked at what we saw. A heavy trailer arm and hitch resting point-down on top of a dresser, already crushing it through the blanket; an unblanketed wooden kitchen island with an unwrapped tool chest just sitting on its shelf, ready for a thousand miles of sliding and scratching; an unwrapped glass lamp shade placed on a bookshelf, set to fall and break; etc. We werent able to fix everything. I have no idea whats going to happen to our stuff. Keep yours safe. Dont hire this company.

The team that came to move our house was overall pretty good. This was my first time hiring movers, and they did a good job of packaging all my valuables so that they wouldnt get damaged. However, one of my console table legs did get slightly cracked during the move. Everyone wants to not have any damages, but things happen during a move. They were able to repair my table leg and return it back to me. I was very appreciative of that. I think its more important to evaluate how companies respond to you when there is a problem versus trying to find a company thats problem free according to reviews. All of us are humans, so were going to make a mistake, but its important to own up to the mistake and fix it, and Express Movers did that.

When I hired Express Movers for my mom, I was impressed with the ease of the move and how pleasant the movers were. Unfortunately, once things were transported, we discovered that many collectible items were broken or damaged, including a 35 year old grandfather clock. Instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, Toni, the moving manager, blamed us for the damage and went as far to say I can use a marker to cover up the damage or order replacement glass from Neiman Marcus. Really?!! I still have not received the claim form Toni supposedly mailed out. Next step...attorney involvement.

This is our second move with this company and once again they went above and beyond to make moving easy on us. The crew was different guys than before but the service was still good. All our furniture was padded, beds taken apart and put back together. The movers were outgoing and polite throughout. I hope we dont ever move again, but f we do well call Express for sure. I already recommended them to my coworker.

Express Movers provides a free quote by phone or email, which is definitely convenient. I love that its a family run business, going for a decade strong. They deliver superior quality & service. If youre looking for a mover in the Seattle area, they will get the job done. Definitely a smart choice hiring these professionals, instead of breaking my back trying to do it myself or inconveniencing friends!
