PERSONAL STORY OF HOW I WAS RIPPED OFF $1300 BY METRO AUTO. I GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT AND HAD MY CAR TOWED TO METRO AUTO REBUILD TO HAVE IT ASSESSED FOR DAMAGES. I TOLD THEM I JUST WANTED TO SEE HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO FIX. THEY REMOVED THE BUMPER ALONG WITH THE HEADLIGHT AND A FENDER. MY CAR STAYED THERE FOR 5 DAYS (MY MISTAKE) UNTIL I DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER SHOP. WHEN I ARRIVED, THEY TOLD ME THAT "THEY HAD PUT A LOT OF WORK INTO IT". WHEN I WENT TO TAKE A LOOK AT MY CAR, PARTS WERE STRIPPED AND LAYING ALL OVER THE GROUND. I TOLD THEM I JUST WANTED AN ESTIMATE, BUT THEY SAID I HAD TO PAY FOR ALL THE WORK THEY PUT INTO MY CAR. I LOOKED AT THEIR ESTIMATE: STORAGE FEES OF $60 A DAY, $75 ADDITIONAL TOWING FEE (THATS AN ADDED SERVICE FEE METRO CHARGES ON TOP OF THE STANDARD TOWING FEE FOR NOT DOING ANYTHING) AND OF COURSE THE 8 HOURS THEY CLAIM TO HAVE PUT UNSCREWING BOLTS AND POPPING BUMPER CLIPS. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE PERSON THAT MY CAR DOES NOT LEAVE THE SHOP UNLESS I PAY UP. I HAD NO CHOICE TO PAY IN ORDER TO HAVE MY DISMANTLED CAR TOWED TO A MORE RESPECTABLE, HONEST SHOP, WHOM HAPPENED TO CHARGE $5000 LESS THAN METRO AUTO REBUILDS ESTIMATE. THIS WHOLE INCIDENT SET ME BACK $1300 FOR JUST AN ESTIMATE THAT I LEARNED COULD HAVE BEEN GOTTEN FREE IF I JUST WHEN TO ANY ANOTHER BODY SHOP. I GOT TAKEN TO THE CLEANERS IS PROBABLY THE MOST GENTLE TERMS I CHOOSE TO DESCRIBE MY EXPERIENCE. THE 1 STAR RATING IS ONLY BECAUSE THATS THE LOWEST RATING I CAN ASSIGN. MY ONLY REASON FOR WRITING THIS REVIEW IS I HOPE NO ONE HAS TO GO THROUGH THE VERY COSTLY LESSON THAT I HAD EXPERIENCED WITH METRO AUTO REBUILD. CAVEAT EMPTOR.

We were referred to Metro by a family/friend. It was almost a month before we got our vehicle back. This would have been fine, accept not all the work was complete, or done to industry standards. There was still a broken washer fluid box, and the paint was terrible! In fact we had to bring it back to Metro because it appeared to have a thumb print and or actual smear in the paint. When we talked to Metro, we were told that our insurance company didnt pay them for a final sand or buff, but because they want to "stand by their work to bring it back in. So, we brought it back in, and guess what... it still didnt get fixed??? Our car isnt brand new, as it is a 2013, but when we brought in in last summer it was only 3 years old. I get that its not a new Mercedes or Porsche, but come on, they got paid to do a job. Completely ridiculous experience, and with all the excuses, I was even told that they had their apprentice do the work, as if that was to make it right?I wish I had went somewhere else. To recap: took WELL OVER a month, had to bring it back twice, and our paint literally has what looks like a thumb print, or a smear in the actual pint. If they are the type of company that would do this to our $20,000 commuter car, why would u want to trust them with your 100k car...? If possible, avoid going here.

I was kept uninformed and when we came to pick the car up, they failed to do the work which I was going to pay for out of my pocket, they said Sorry, I forgot? Then we noticed a dent on the front bumper when we came to pick the car up? It wasnt there when the car was dropped off; they didnt do it because if they had they would have fixed it. They said there an Auto body shop. I can only wonder how they have been able to stay in business. Whatever happened to Honesty and Integrity? Beware when dealing with Metro. They did not meet my expectations nor exceed them in anyway. I was lucky though since my Insurance Company let me have the rest of the work done at Pacific Auto Body. They deserve an easy 5 star. Not only did the car look perfect but I was called every other day from Barrett just to let me know the latest on the Car. They fixed the damage the Car received at Metro for me free; they were just sorry I had such a bad experience with Metro. Not only will Pacific take care of you but they will exceed your expectations. I just wish I would have started with Barrett from the beginning and saved myself the frustration and time.

Metro Auto Rebuild was great! They were referred to me by Seattle BMW, and they defiantly went above and beyond my expectations. Sean was able to fit me in right away, the work was done quickly and the quality was excellent. They were even kind enough to shuttle me where ever I needed to go. I even got a chance to meet the owner Doug who seemed like a great family man, he was even there helping out a week after shoulder surgery! The office gals were awesome as well, they always had great communication with me so I felt at ease about everything. When I got my car back it was sparkling clean and looked brand new, they even vacuumed and cleaned the interior (which let me tell you was pretty messy.) To say the least they make a great team and defiantly do great work. This is for sure the place to go.

Metro Auto Rebuild is very deceiving. I took my Range Rover there after an accident to an estimate. The cost of repairs I suspected would be more than the value. They provided me an estimate and I told them that I would not approve the repairs until I knew the insurance would pay. The insurance company made them dismantle my car after the initial estimate. I chose not to repair the vehicle which I was upfront on. They billed the insurance for their time to dismantle my car. The insurance company would not pay for the dismantling of the vehicle. I went to pick my car and made them re-assemble the parts that took off and they tried to stick me with the bill. The worst was that the professional was absolutely horrible. There are much better place to go to.

It took Metro 3 months to repair my car! They wouldnt bother to call to tell me when they were going to miss another promised completion date (there were 5) instead i would hear about it from the rental car company. The last date they missed was supposedly because someone had to go home with a migrane that day and couldnt finish the job. We called them over 8 times with no return phone calls. And when we finally got to pick up the car the manager hid in his office and didnt even come out to shake our hand, say sorry, thank you.. anything. If they were the last place on earth I wouldnt recommend them.

I cannot say enough about these guys! Ryan is the best his customer service is second to none! He has been so helpful from start to finish taking the time to take every phone call and answer every question. The owner Doug top notch very down to Earth guy who goes out of his way to make sure you have a great experience with them. And last but not least Chelsey hope Im spelling her name right, she went out of her way to send me pictures of my car and is one of the most pleasant people to speak with there. I will always bring my car here wouldnt trust it to anyone else, very honest people.
