I only give 2 stars because there are a couple of very nice folks who work there. Other than those 2 or 3 people, though, the rest act as if they are annoyed by everyone and everything. One of the supervisors was utterly rude to me, raising his voice, when I simply made a request/suggestion that the box number be noted on the "you have a package" cards in the PO Boxes. I had gotten one, and when I made the effort to leave work early so I could make it there before they closed, I was told "oops, we put it in the wrong box, theres nothing for you." He loudly told me that his employees "are only human" and even told me that they made these mistakes a lot -- so I just asked "maybe if the number of the box was on the card, we would know if it was really for us." He took great offense and told me they didnt have time to do that. I have also had 2 packages go missing between Yakima and the Spokane distribution center. They were first-class so they had tracking information -- they left Yakima, but never got to Spokane (only 3 hours away). They seemed utterly unconcerned and told me that unless I paid for insurance, they couldnt do anything. I didnt care about the VALUE of the package, it was a low-cost item. I cared that things were going missing, getting lost, on just a one-truck jaunt. The folks I talked to simply didnt care. They said they couldnt even determine which truck it was on, and they wouldnt investigate. Their carriers have even damaged my property, when delivering a package. If we were able to choose a post office, I absolutely wouldnt choose this one.

After we lost our house in a fire and had to rebuild we are finally getting to fixing our yard after the big machines destroyed everything. In the process of rebuilding our wall the mailbox was moves 4 feet to the left on the other side of our new steps (without a hand rail because it is on order) so our mail woman put a note in our mailbox (without that days mail) that we cant move our mailbox without permission from them. Which I would have been happy to get if I knew I had to but when we moved the mailbox away from the house down to the front steps years ago we had no such warning! Yakima post office did not answer their phone or return our messages when we tried to talk to someone about this. Other a week of holding our mail at this piont. We had to call the National number and put in a complaint before we got a message back. Then then lied and said our steps are unsafe just to justify their mail carrier mistake of holding our mail without talking with us first. To add to this the man on the phone told me I didnt move my mailbox away from the house the first time. He ovously didnt want to resolve the problem but try to justify their poor service. Just because they are the US Post Office and have no competition doesnt mean they should be able to treat people anyway they want without repercussions!

So sick of getting everyone elses mail from my area. When i first moved in 3 yrs ago the postman stated put our names on our box because he would NOT deliver anyones mail that was not listed. Yet now all i get is everyone elses mail even when its a different physical address. Plus the last week the postal person has been making at least 3 trips at different times of the day to deliver mail. Of course when you call to make a complaint or even ask about it you can not get anyone to answer or return a call. You would think with the amount of pay and benefits they could at least deliver the mail consistantly right within reason !

I just love how your postal employees do not have to follow the rules of the road, this morning on my way home I was behind one of your drivers and they where swerving all over the road almost crossing the center line more than once, they also where trying to cut thru a red light, slammed on their breaks in the middle of the road to make a turn but failed to use the turn signal. If I hadnt been driving or had had someone else in my car I would have gotten the LLV number, I pulled over in the Fred Meyer parking lot to call and talk to someone but of course nobody answered the phone.

This place is terrible! Ive had multiple packages lost in a very short amount of time. My most recent package was claimed to be delivered to the place right behind my house but apon walking over there I found out that no package had been received. I went back 2 days later to hear that a post man had visited them that day asking if they got a package which they did not. Ive called countless times and left dozens on voicemails without any response at all. These people are so awful at their job I cannot believe it. I would put 0 stars if that were possible....

Out of all of the post offices in town i go out of my way to go to this one. I love to large drop box for packages but most of all the customer service is top notch. They are always friendly, funny and quick. This past year i opened a P.O. box to route packages to and im so glad i did. When ever i have a question they always have an answer and or solution.

Ive only been in a few times, but each time I came in there is one particular gentlemen working the front counter that I have to say is exceptional. He always has a smile and truly seems to enjoy his job. He is also very knowledgeable and extremely helpful if you have questions. I dont generally throw out accolades but this guy truly deserves it.

Painful experiences here. If you need to mail something please consider driving to the other location downtown. The employees here clearly hate their job and do their best to make sure each customer they are in contact with are well aware of it. Rude, slower then molasses and quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

was once told I needed an additional $40 in postage to mail invitations.. drove down to the next post office and the lady said they were fine. Mail carriers constantly leave package notices on my door while Im home, dont even knock, they just stick a notice on the door and leave.

I have received my neighbors mail several times, and my mail has been delivered to them on a single occasion over the past year and the delivery is at different times of day, everyday, sometimes after dark. No consistency and poor delivery service.

Customer service was rude as could be. Anytime I speak to them I have to go back since they didnt enter the information correctly and the problems continued. I prefer Wrays on Nob Hill for all my mail concerns that way I know its done correctly.

Constantly loosing my packages. Its the post office though, so you cant be too upset that superior customer service is lacking. If you dont mind paying a bit more, Mail-N-More in the Nob Hill Plaza is your best bet.

When Ive gone inside the ppl are friendly and such but they give a phone number to call but no one ever answers it seems and it takes you to a voicemail thats full so you couldnt leave a message if you wanted to :/
