AVOID S 76th Layton! I had my car inspected as its included with the oil change and tire inspection. I spent a good amount of money there. The only thing I would say is AARON is really nice and professional. I had to come back twice as they didnt do everything in one day. The 2nd day he called and said that my ball joint was defective. I went back to the place where I got this done and they took apart my car only to know nothing was wrong with the ball joints. I called back Midas and asked if they could check the system to see if they misdiagnosed the car. As I easily pointed out thar it would either be the shocks struts or ball joints. He said they did a through inspection. They were wrong and he said unless we charged you for the inspection we merely go off look and sound. This is not what an inspection is. To get my point across they do not know what theyre doing, they misdiagnosed my car and they offer free inspections. I could have guessed too! Go to valvoline or try another location. The Operating Manager needs to train their staff and review the current staff members! Also ..i believe I spoke with a Miguel, very rude, monotone and bad communcation!

I brought my daughters 2001 Cavalier in today with the exhaust completely separated down the middle. With only 70k on the odometer, I had fully expected being told it would be in my best interest to have the entire system replaced. Service Manager Reid Kahrs was very personable and "real" about what I had: a car we were looking to get another year out of. In five minutes the mechanic gave me two options, walking me under the vehicle and showing me exactky where hed weld a sleeve. He could get it done in the hour. The other option was to replace everything to the muffler. It was my choice. I also asked about tires and they told me to wait until late October when tires go on sale everywhere. I guess I was not only impressed by how quickly the car was fixed, but also by how much both Reid and the mechanic read my situation and found the most affordable solution, without my even asking for one. Finding reliable and trustworthy mechanics is almost as trying as locating a good doctor. I plan on recommending this Midas to anyone in such a search.

First off i am a backyard mechanic getting to old to be laying down on gravel and rocks to do maintenance. With that being said i called a week earlier to schedule an appointment to do my moms transmission cooler lines. I diagnosed the problem and told them what i needed. They didnt try to tell me different which is cool. Made an appointmemt at 8 in the morning. I knew that it should take between 3 to 4 hours to do. They agreed, cool. I know the hardest part is taking everything apart being rusted and everything. Called in at noon to check the progress because maybe they just forgot to call. Said putting on the new lines should be about another hour. Cool. Heres where i list it called back 2 hours later and started making excuses. Jon rudely says well what do you want me to do. I am sorely dissappointed with the service and mechanical expertise. In the amount of time that they worked on the vehicle with all the tools and equipment they have, i could have done it in my garage by myself with less equipment

The technicians at Midas Auto Service on 76th and Layton are knowledgeable, professional and, most importantly, honest. I have had two different vehicles (one domestic, one import) serviced at this location and I found the prices to be fair and the customer service to be fantastic. Not only were the diagnoses timely and accurate, but the technicians also went out of their way to show me exactly what the problems were and provide me with the relevant information that I needed to make informed decisions regarding the repair options. There is a great deal of dishonesty in this industry, and Im always wary when searching for fair and honest auto service. Once Ive found it I stick with it. I will most definitely be returning to this Midas service center in the future. Highly recommended.

EXCELLENT customer service at the Midas of Greenfield on 76th. These guys will take you into the shop and show you exactly what is wrong with your vehicle. They give you the different options you have to fix or replace parts and will also tell you their honest opinion as to what you should have them do. In no way will they ever try to take you on a run for your money. From the initial phone call to the handshake on the way out, these people are very POLITE and PROFESSIONAL in what they do. There is a Midas much closer to home, but the customer service at this place brought me back a second time and will again and again. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the services offered at the Midas of Greenfield on 76th.

Well they close at 6 during the week, i called the night before and asked to make an appointment (they are close to my home far from my work). We agreed at 5:30pm, i came in at 5:10 and they said they would be unable to do anything because its to close too 6 (i needed a belt replaced). They also denied that i made an appointment, i explained to them i left work an hour early in order to make the appointment; however that made no difference. Huge waste of time, and the staff look, communicate, and act unprofessional.

Dishonest!!!! Told us one price quote after we called telling them we had no brakes because brake pads and rotor needed replacing. After we drove twenty miles there with almost no brakes, they told us they charged $150.00 minimum more than they had just quoted us on the phone a half hour earlier. Obviously youre not worried about the safety of your potential customers. Its about the money of course. Bad news travels much farther than good news. Really bad business. Disgusting!!

If you want greasy black hand prints and your beautiful cream interior, door handles, and full hand prints on clothes seats this is the place youll get them. Cant say anything good about the place. Careless in everything they did. Not to mention, they told me 2 years ago my brake pads were worn and I needed new ones. Just replaced them now because they were brand new 2 years ago. My advice is being your vehicle anywhere else, to include a back alley garage, youre better off.

Great service! Im not exactly sure why this Midas has been rated so poorly but Ive had nothing but positive experiences. I refuse to take my car anywhere else and know other people who feel the same. But what really sold me on this shop is when they were able to diagnose & fix an issue I had with my car after 3 visits to the dealership had not. If it werent for them, Id probably still have the same issue.

DON"T GO TO MIDAS THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!! Took my car in to have the front brakes and rotores replaced. At that time they said my back breaks looked fine. Less then 3 weeks later my back breaks are gone and rotores are shot. Those breaks and rotores were just over a year old. If you are looking for a place to go, go to F&F Tire World.
