I dont typically take the time to write public reviews but for company I will make an exception. My family contracted All My Sons for a move of a three bedroom apartment into a four bedroom house. There were no appliances or large furniture outside of 3 beds, a couch and a recliner. We did have a lot of boxes to move though. Our family transported the computers and flat screen TV’s. Everything was packed and ready for the movers; they didn’t need to wait for us to pack or do anything that would slow them down. The accepted quote was $104 per hour for two movers and the billing of an extra hour for travel between their location and our apartment then from our house back to their lot. It was estimated that this would be 2-3 hours. This is what I budgeted for and what I expected. The movers arrived at 8:00am and reviewed the stuff and had me sign stating that they were starting at 8:00am. That’s where it went bad. The movers disappeared for 30 minutes before actually starting. They took WAY TOO LONG to load the truck (about 4.5 hours) and then stopped for lunch or something on their way from first location to the end location (which I needed to pay for) Then, it took them WAY TOO LONG to unload the truck. They were instructed to move all of the items into a large room in the front of the house. You would have thought that they would have be able to accomplish this task in less time than it took them to load the truck. Nope. It took them about 3.5-4 hours to unload the truck! So, my total move took 7.25 hours, then I had to pay for the extra travel time (so another hour) THEN 15% surcharge for fuel AND I was charged for the tape and shrink wrap they used. So a move that was expected to take 2-3hours took all day and I got a bill of $1,000+. I was so angry…Until I started moving the items out of the room into the house and found two broken bookshelves, about 5 boxes that had been ripped open with stuff falling out of them and they broke the ceiling fan in the room. I am so happy that I bought this house and will not have to move again. But, if I do, I will never use this company and I will never suggest anyone use them. To put things in perspective, in January 2016, we completed this move from one rental house to another rental house. SAME STUFF MOVED. It took Two Men and a Truck 2.5 hours to complete the move and although they damaged the flooring, they quickly took care of the damage with the landlord.

The sales guy was great. Pleasant and professional. But never checked in like he said he would. The movers in Peoria were good, even took them to lunch ($70). Funny and kind was the Supervisor, a few of the workers were lost without direction, but they got it done. Towards the end they ran out of boxes. The chose to use wardrobe boxes to finish up. They didnt plan for enough boxes and had no other reserves. Even gave them all the meat in my freezer ($100s) since it would go bad. They drove the truck to Rio Rancho, New Mexico and were to arrive at 5pm Friday. They called and said they would be there Sat. morning. My Husband was at this end, and I guess the guys just didnt hit it off with him. They unloaded quickly and just stacked things everywhere. Not in correct rooms and kinda in the center of the garage. I arrived in New Mexico the following weekend. I was shocked at how disorganized things were. I went into my new closet and my clothes and other things were dumped out. I found out that the drivers dumped my things and took the wardrobe boxes with them. Unprofessional. We paid $5000 for a professional move, but at the conclusion, all the professionalism just disappeared. We paid handsomely for a professional job, but this company was like hiring neighbor kids just in it for the money. We will use a different company in the future, a company that cares about repeat and referral business and maintains professionalism through he entire process.

I recently had a need on short notice to move 15,000 pounds of furniture and personal possessions across the country from Arizona to Iowa. I bid the job out to four companies. Jeff from All My Sons was very responsive, kept his appointments on time, responded to my phone calls to answer any and all questions I had, and gave me a reasonable bid for the move. I cannot say that about the other three companies. It was all because of the overall impression I got from Jeff, that caused me to select them over the others. Very professional and outstanding at what he does. But the best part was the crew that he assigned to get the job loaded. Morin, Shavanta, and Tom were more than awesome. Their attention to detail, experience, and ability to load things safely, efficiently, and quickly - made the whole loading experience go really, really very well for me. They are the most professional group I have ever worked with. This removed all the anxiety I had over this move. Needless to say, they also transported everything safely to the destination, and the load-out went flawlessly as well. I wasnt expecting this to be a great experience, but it truly was. I highly recommend All My Sons for any move you need to accomplish - whether local or across the country like mine was. They are simply excellent at what they do.

Two stars for their movers Jeremy and Armando. -1 star for dishonest pricing. -1 star for lead mover, Thomas, talking about inappropriate subjects (its inappropriate to talk about "rebel gangs" targeting people for death and depending on their shirt color you live or die) -1 star for the movers going to the convenience store and gas station while running the clock AND charging an additional hour for driving. Our move started at 8:45 and ran until 1pm, including travel time.. they still charge an additional hour for travel time and their fuel percentage! That info was NOT disclosed prior to scheduling! I do NOT recommend this company. You will be overcharged and receive terrible service. While completing the unexpectedly high payment my husband was coached into leaving a positive review for the company. Thomas was rude, disrespectful to his crew, and took his sweet time doing everything! I was quoted $350-400 and that price was nearly doubled to $738! Please look elsewhere for your moving needs.

Never had to use the company for moving purposes BUT I was stuck on the side of the rode with a flat tire early today and the workers by the name of Morin and Shavanta (if thats how you spell it) were kind enough to pull over and assist me. I was having trouble with getting the last lug nut off the tire and I was greatly relieved to see two strong men come out to come to my rescue! My 5 yr old son was also in the car with me and they talked to him and even offered him some Gatorade to drink. If it wasnt for these two, I would of been stranded for more then I probably would have wanted too due to the fact that everyone else just kept passing me by. I will say just due to their kind nature I will definitely remember this experience for years to come. And if I ever need any moving expertise, I sure will give them a call to do just that! You guys were awesome. Thank you soooo much!
