Better work than the dealers I bought a new 2006 Honda Civic from Showcase Honda. The air conditioning didnt seem to be very cold but it was November and I thought Id take it back to the dealer for service If I had any problems once summer arrived. Well I took it back to the dealer five times and they kept telling me that it was operating as designed. Then I called the Honda USA headquarters and they said take it back to the dealer and we will talk to them. Once again, when I went to pick it up they said it is full of freon and operating as designed. I went to the Discount Brake Tune and Lube at 4144 E Thomas Rd.(I live in Surprise but work in Phoenix) for my next oil change. I told them about my air conditioning problem and they said theyd check it out after the oil change. About 15 minutes later the service manager walked in to the waiting room and told me there was no freon in the air conditioner. I said you gotta be kidding. He said no, the cap on the freon tank has a very slow leak. So all they had to ... I bought a new 2006 Honda Civic from Showcase Honda. I have been going to Discount Brake for all my auto needs since then. I will never go back to the dealer. I got a great deal on my 50000 mile maintenance and other small repairs. When my car had reached 105000 miles, I took it in to get the timing belt replaced. ( I dont know what that is but everyone told me I should do it) I was there about 5 minutes when the service manager walked into the waiting area and told me that my car didnt have a timing belt. It had a timing chain and it didn`t need to be replaced. Needless to say, I was very happy to hear that. So in summary Id like to say that Showcase Honda really sucks ( I cant believe how fricken stupid they are) and Discount Brake knows what they are doing and actually wants to keep their customers.

Users of this mechanic, BEWARE!! Use at your own risk!! I went to Discount Brakes on a Saturday morning because my car was smelling of gasoline. After sitting around ALL day, the owner, Dwayne, told me he needed more time to figure out what was wrong with my car and asked me to come back on Monday. Really? It smells of gas...you guys should be smart of enough to figure it out. Turns out, they were running behind and did not have enough time to look at my car. To make matters worse, I was charged $90 for this "service". On Monday, I took my car back, only to have it sit there all morning until they got around to it in the afternoon. I was told I needed a new valve control canister. $300 later, I was told my car was fixed. I thought it was as the gas smell seemed to be less severe. Turns out, using the gas by driving was more than likely contributing to the less severe gas smell. I called Dwayne on Friday and was told that it would be taken care of, NO CHARGE, and to bring my car in first thing Saturday morning to be looked at right away. Well, come 12:30pm on Saturday, my car was still sitting in the parking lot...because they were "busy". I was then told my fuel pump had a leak and this would cost $585 to fix. I wish I was exaggerating people, but Im not!!! Then, to give me a "deal", I was told it would only cost $290. I told them this was unacceptable and bad business only to be interrupted and yelled at. I will NEVER, NEVER be going to these unprofessoinal, shady, scam-artist mechanics EVER again! If I had to time to stand outside their doors and warn people as they walked in, I would. Thats how unprofessional and horrible they are!!

Very clean waiting area. Free coffee. Decent restroom. Employees very friendly over the phone and in person. However, I went in for an oil change and was presented with a long list of repairs that they said needed to be done, to the tune of over $2,000. I brought vehicle to a mechanic recommended by a family member, and the 2nd mechanic could not believe the high prices Discount Brake Tune & Lube wanted to charge me. The second mechanic prioritized the the work that needed to be done and said the most important repairs could be done for about $700. Discount Brake Tune & Lube told me that I had an oil leak and a coolant leak and if I werent going to make those repairs immediately, I needed to check my oil and coolant every other day to make sure I wasnt running low. The 2nd mechanic told me that yes, there are leaks, but the leaks are so minimal that no oil or coolant ever hits the ground. Almost two weeks after having my oil changed, my oil wasnt low AT ALL. The second mechanic said to be sure to check the fluids once a month, every two weeks if I really want to be careful. Also, Discount Brake Tune & Lube suggested a $110 fuel injection service. The 2nd mechanic said that I can do that myself with fuel system cleaner I can buy at Wal-Mart, that people who arent having any trouble shouldnt pay a garage to do that for them when they can just buy stuff at Wal-Mart and do it themselves. I really feel like the workers at Discount Brake Tune & Lube tried to scare me into paying too much for work I dont even need to have done. That is not cool!
