Would I recommend this AAMCO shop to a friend? Im not sure; cant say one way or the other. I had a Chevy Blazer transmission rebuilt last year. I brought it in just a few weeks before the warranty expired because of two reasons: Ever since the rebuild, the shift from 1st to 2nd was not smooth (it kind of jerks forward) and at a recent visit to a Meineke for something else, they had notified me the tranny fluid was dark and sticky. Everyone is friendly there and seems honest enough in general, but I sort of feel like I got a brush-off that didnt really solve the jerky shifting problem. They replaced the fluid with some slightly different viscosity, saying something to the effect that it would help with the shifting issue. Well, it hasnt really helped much, if at all. I suspect that there is a more serious issue at the heart of that problem, but one that would be more expensive to fix and since the transmission is operational (Ive been living with it, though it can be a bit irritating) and was almost at the end of the warranty period, it was easier for them to pursue that as a solution and get me out the door and down the road. Now, I could be wrong and I cant really prove it either way (without tearing apart the transmission myself and looking into it), so Ive been hesitant to say anything, but nevertheless, being totally honest, right or wrong, thats how I feel. I wont be too happy in 6 months or a year from now if I find out the fluid is dark and sticky again, because then I will suspect that there was something faulty in the work of the rebuild. Hopefully that wont be the case. So again, at this point, Im a little undecided about my AAMCO experience. I want to give a good review, but I cannot whole-heartedly do so at this point.

My troopers transmission has been rebuilt in AAMCO mesa shop a few months ago, but, after 4month it turns out to harsh shift. My transmission still under 12/12 warranty, but you know what, when I take my truck to mesa shop, Tim, the manager says it might not the transmission problem, it might be some computer problem. He gonna charge me $90 for further inspection. So, I say no, and I take my truck to AAMCO Tempe for further confirmation, Patrick, manager in Tempe shop, conducted the inspection for me for free and he is pretty sure, it is internal transmission problem for this case. Computer problem gonna be a completely bullshit! Patrick also suggest me that just take you truck to Mesa store, if they say NO, just call home office to yield at director. Actually, I did call their director. and the result is that Meas shop is fix my transmission for free. Under Warranty!!!!!! Anyhow, Patrick is good guy who worth to trust. if you have car problem, go to him Update Tim fixed my truck, the problem does shows as Tims estimation. some electronic problem. But, anyhow, I do appreciate Patricks help and advice.

This was the worst service ever. My husband took our car in to have the a/c looked at. After they looked at it they told him that some wiring needed to be replaced and that the car needed some freon. They charged us for an evac and recharge which according to a technician from the AAMCO website means they drain and refill. The tech at the store just added some to it without draining it and then also added some dye and oil. The a/c stopped working again the next day and when we took it back to the location we were told that there was too much oil and dye in it and that it was causing the compressor to work too hard and that there was a chance that it could ruin the compressor, but that they could replace it for $1000. They ruined the compressor and refuse to fix what they broke. I now have to drive my 2 children around in a car with no air in the middle of excessive heat warnings because they will not fix what they messed up when their tech was too lazy to do his job correctly. My next step if they dont contact me to correct this will have to be with the BBB.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with any auto service center. I took in my durango to have the ac fixed, original est. was $418. I was called an hour later and told it needed more than expected and it would be almost $1200. At first I said no and was just going to trade it in. Upon further conversation with my wife we decided to have the work done. I called the manager and ask if he guaranteed I would have cold ac if I spent this much and he said yes. So we had the work done. To make a long story short I had to take this back 8 weeks in a row to get nothing but excuses why it was not working. Corporate office was no help either. Now they wand to cahrge more money. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and every time someone responds from aamco it is someone who has no clue of my conversation with Collin, the manager. I sure would not have had this done for $1200 if I did not have Collins guarantee. They just take your money and shove it to you. Be very cautious. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! (get the hint?)

Ok so I am a business owner. I have given aamco many chances to make them selves a good company. I still has not happened. I have had 2 transmissions they replaced and they charged $2850 for one and $3200 on the other same trucks? Both transmissions have had to get redone 3 times. I have lost thousands of dollars of lost work since they take there time. If you have a warranty vehicle it gets put on the back burner. They told me 3 days and its been almost a week and they just started on it. This is ridiculous. Also I had 2 air conditioners replaced on vans and what do you know they both have went out 2 and 3 times. Every thing they do goes bad after. They just hope its out of warranty so you have to take it in again and they make more money off you. Whats ever crazier the bill to have the Air conditioning replace in one of the trucks ended up being almost $3000 and I called ford and they would have done the same work for $1600. Avoid this place at all costs.

Im chaning this review from one star to four. The reason why I only give a four is because I could never got an appointment with the savers card when needed an was never able to use it all up. So I went in an me and patrick discussed the situation regarding my power steering hose an that I believed the issue was because of a mistake on their behalf. Situations like these can get hairy but we made it threw. Patrick really brings some sunshine to this place and would be the only reason I would ever consider coming back. The other guy that was there before just seemed so cold. Anyways make sure to ask for patrick if u ever have any concerns he wil make u feel valued.

I paid $1,000 to get "a simple issue fixed." Within a day of getting my car back it was having the same problem. So I gave them a second chance and brought it back in. After keeping my car for 2 days they told me it was just a wiring issue and they promised me my car was good to go. But again, within a day my car was doing the same thing I brought it in for. Not only was it doing the same thing, but it was doing it more frequently. They wanted me to bring it in so they can figure out whats wrong with it and "get a price for me." Are you KIDDING me?! I pay you $1,000 to not fix my car and you want me to pay you more...thats just not right.
