We have been taking our cars to the car repair company for 15 years. Their prices are higher than a normal mechanic, but we end up spending less on repairs because they are always honest about what needs to be done. I have a reasonable knowledge of car repair and maintenance, and when they diagnose a problem they go with the cheapest most effective solution. For example, when I took in our minivan to have the brake pads replaced, they did the pads, no charge for the tire rotation (since the wheels had to come off anyway), and they told me that the next brake pad change was probably going to require additional work on the rotors, but that the vehicle was fine for another 40,000 miles. Most other mechanics would have tried to do all that additional work that was really not necessary. Another example is when a spark plug went bad on a road trip, the mechanic I took it to wanted to replace the entire distributor cap, all the plugs and do a special engine cleaning treatment, quot was $800. I stumbled home with a rocky engine and took it to CRC. They correctly diagnosed that it was one bad plug, replaced all of the spark plugs so that I would not have ongoing timing issues, and charged me less than $100. Customer concious behavior like this is how I save money on car maintenance, but pay the mechanic a higher hourly rate.

I must add my two cents worth about the alleged rip off on the Ford Truck alternator. It appears that the "anonymous " author likes to throw stones. Here are the facts: The vehicle broke down, was towed in and we correctly diagnosed and repaired the vehicle. The customer was offered multiple options for the alternator replacement on his vehicle. We only install high quality new or remanufactured parts at our facility. We can not compete with "value priced parts". He also failed to mention that we offered that he could provide his own alternator, we would bend our rules of over 28 years of service, that a customer could provide his own part for repairs. He declined our offer! The bottom line, he agreed to the repairs and the price quoted, and then "slams" us on the internet. The cost of the alternator he claims we charged him is actually $40.00 more than we actually charged him. I stand behind my staff and the service they provide. We are a AAA TOP SHOP award winner and run a honest shop.

The year was 1984 and the car was a vintage Ford Fairlane, whose battery exploded (an omen) one night while I was making out with a guy at ASU. This guy was a friend of Jim Atkinson of the Car Repair Company. If youve ever been stranded byour car, you know how this feels. Jim didnt even know me and he came to my rescue. Ive been taking my vehicles to Jim and his first-rate team ever since and theyve never steered me wrong. Jims father Ward was a GM executive who started the Car Repair Company. Jim has motor oil running in his veins, living and breathing cars. This passion means he knows his stuff when it comes to caring for vehicles. Jim is also a no B.S. entrepreneur, who runs his business like his life: with trust, integrity, and a do-the-job-right work ethic. He treats his customers and his team well and takes great pride in everything he does. You can trust the Car Repair Company to perform the best work to keep your vehicle in top condition, with the utmost respect for you, their customer.

I have been a customer of the Car Repair Company for 8 years now. Theyve seen three of my cars for both maintenance work and for repairs, ranging from minor to major. The owner has fair prices, ensures that his team thoroughly explains the problem found, gets permission before conducting repairs, and delivers when promised.Everytime Ive been in to the shop, Ive been treated as though I was family. Today, they took it to a whole new level. This morning my wifes car smelled like gasoline...they got me in without an appointment first thing....got the part...and repaired it, all within two hours. That would have been great enough, but what took it to a whole new level? The office manager was cooking up lunch while I was there...RIBEYE steaks of all things, for the team. When they invited me to join for lunch, I thought they were kidding. No way they said....and here I am stuffed after downing 14oz steak. Im still shaking my head in disbelief.Car Repair Co has a life-long customer.

I took my 2008 Ford Escape into the Car Repair Company for an oil change If Jim did not have integrity, respect, a love for his business, a fond appreciation for his customers and the same characteristics in his personal life I would not take my car back to the Car Repair Company. Of course the initial oil change process was easy as pie. My entire vehicle was inspected to make sure I was/am safe on the road and I was not bamboozled with unnecessary repairs. Let’s not forget our 2 favorite greeters Brandy (we miss you) and Riley. If you are a dog lover you will be in heaven as Riley will make you feel right at home in the comfy waiting room of this dog friendly facility (bring yours too). I would strongly recommend the Car Repair Company for any of your car care needs.

I shopped around for the best car repair quite a bit and found Car Repair Co. I brought my vehicle in and asked them to check it out. Within a small waiting preiod they came up with a detailed report as to what was wring with my car. I went ahead and had the work done and the final price came in much less than anticipated. Very unusual for a shop and a great benifit for me. The work was done and my car ran great. Their service manager called me on every step and I was the best experience that I have had with a repair shop. I brought my wifes car in also and the same excellence in service. I highly recommend them and will continue my relationship with them

This is one of the most unethical places I have ever been too. They make themselves sound so honorable on their web site, but then rip you off every chance they get. They charged me $40 just to check out my belts, without telling me that it was going to cost anything. When I said they did not tell me that when I dropped the car off, the unfriendly, sloooow receptionist had the audacity to say, "Theres a sign." In addition to this, they said that I needed new back brakes, when that is not even what I took it in for. When I later went somewhere else for a second opinion, they said my brakes were perfect! Unfriendly and unethical.

I started taking my car into Car Repair Company late last year. I had a problem with my fuel injection. Every shop I took my car to gave me a different diagnosis and quoted different prices for the repair. Thankfully I found Jim!! I found someone who made sense. Im not a mechanic but Im not completely ignorant about cars and I appreciate that Jim and his entire staff went out of their way to make sure I was very comfortable with the repair. I understood the what, why, and how of the problem thanks to their patience. Since then I wouldnt take my car for a repair any where else. So, thanks Jim!!!!
