I was in the Advanced Auto Service & Tire Centers Scottsdale shop at 6828 E Thomas Rd for an oil change earlier today, Sept. 24th, 2015, and, as usual, the people there were all extremely nice and friendly. They honored the coupon from the weekly flyer without any questions ($18.99 Oil Change); and they also went out of their way to call me back to let me know when a spot had opened for me to come down and get my oil changed. They did also tell me that I need 2 new tires (which I legitimately do), but when I replied by telling them that I was simply not in a position to afford to spend $150 right now, they were instantly understanding and completely nice and polite about it. No pressure from them whatsoever, and that is definitely appreciated. Ive been to this location 3-4 times over the last two years and it has been a great experience each time. The staff there (specifically, two females who seem to be supervisors/managers) are always very professional and really nice and friendly; and that is really important, as courtesy and kindness are two very important qualities for me and my family. Overall, it was another great experience at this Advanced Auto Service & Tire Centers in Scottsdale! If someone with the corporate offices reads this review, please know that the staff at this Advanced Auto Service & Tire Centers at 68th Pl. and Thomas in Scottsdale does a fantastic job and has absolutely excellent customer service. Im yelping a customer service and SAFETY HAZARD complaint directed at SCOTT (manager?). I took my Tacoma there for a pair of struts to be installed. I provided the struts. When they removed the struts they noticed that the strut bushing where cracked and broken. Incidentally, it needed some bushing which did not come with the struts. I offered to locate the parts. SCOTT declined. He insisted the he find and supply the bushings. In hind sight, this was mostly out of greed... to make a few extra bucks off their low quality , over priced parts . A day passed and SCOTT could not find the part. I told him I could find it. He said I had until the end of the day otherwise he threatened to put it back together with the WORN OUT/Broken bushings. He said that my truck was tying up a service bay. He was not willing to compromise, he insisted he was going to put it back together with worn out suspension parts. This is a SAFETY HAZARD. I was able to locate the part he insisted they did not make and he could not find. The summary is these auto repair chain stores are only good for tires and oil changes. Leave the real mechanic work to the professionals.

I had an appointment for 4 new tires and an oil change for 10am. Even though it was early, I had already had a difficult day when I showed up at 9:15. I needed to be back on the road by 10:45. I hadnt eaten breakfast, and was in a generally awful mood. The staff was so understanding and accommodating. Much more consideration than I deserved since I let my crummy mood get the better of me. They had me back on the road at 10:15. Thank you for making my bad day better! I enthusiastically reccommend these guys. They are a tire shop, so I shouldnt be so surprised that they excel where the rubber meets the road.

Xavier and Jon were huge helps today! My engine light came on as I was driving past the shop, and even though it was 20 minutes until close, they took a look and fixed me up until I could schedule an appointment. I was in a huge hurry and pretty frantic and even set off my car alarm on accident when they were looking inside. They were still so polite. Definitely appreciated :) thankyou!
