We brought our car into Hi-tech car care based on the previous positive reviews here on yelp. I am extremely disappointed in the "value" we experienced today. Labor for the lube oil and filter was $24.95. The parts were $13.59. That looks good, right? They called and asked about changing the air filter, the cabin air filter, and the wiper blades, to which, Janet replied to replace the air filters and thats it. Now, I agree, the cabin air filter was a bad idea, but the thought of the previously viewed reviews, I didnt think it would be too bad. The air filter in the engine compartment was $23.10, and they did not charge for labor. Was that generous? Answer that after I explain the cost of the cabin air filter replacement. The part, $25.58: the cost of labor $39.59. I expressed my concern after viewing the bill. This part is paper folded accordion style and isnt even framed by plastic. Ill eat that cost. We agreed to it. But the labor? The owner, who identified himself as the owner, said cars that are 6 years or older the plastic can be extremely brittle and that the cost was also covering his liability, because if they break a piece, I would expect them to replace it...right? He added that the cost would have been disclosed had we asked while on the phone with him. Being in law enforcement, I know a few things about the removal of cabin air filters, as they are usually a good spot for concealing contraband. I walked out to the car, opened the glove box, moved two very pliable clips and slipped the paper filter out, in less than one minute. I put it back together and returned to the shop, where Justin explained and showed me on the computer the standard charges for labor dealing with this part. This establishment had several senior citizens come and go while we waited to pay the outrageous final cost of an oil change. If your mother, grandmother, wife or daughter go to this establishment for vehicle service MAKE SURE THEY GET A QUOTE OR THEY WILL BE RIPPED OFF. as we were first time customers, I guess we shouldnt assume they want repeat business. This was so shady, we will not return.

I had an extremely disappointing experience here, especially after hearing good things about their work. Im more than knowledgeable about cars and do most of my own repairs. I brought my car in for an issue that was out of my league. Specifically a minor RPM fluctuation on deceleration around 25mph. I asked to go on the test drive with the technition but the manger Tom insisted that wouldnt be necessary, which I thought was weird but I took him at his word. After a series of "tests" the technition Justin concluded I had a blown head gasket, about a $2,500 repair. Not only would that not affect the issue I had originally brought the car in to begin with but knowing what I do about cars and engines I was extemely reluctant to believe that for I had no symptoms of a blown head gasket. They claimed to have done a block test but I wasnt there to witness it myself. They also claimed my car had overheating problems and was misfiring. Which was absolutely not true, I drive the car everyday all over the valley and have never skipped a beat. They were actually insulting my intelligence. When I asked to talk to the technition who worked on my car it took him almost an hour for him to come talk to me. Every question I had he would respond with an extremely rude and defensive attitude and eventually just up and left without saying a word. I took my car to TWO seperate shops and asked for a block test to be done infront of me and both tests confirmed I DONT have a blown head gasket. Hi Tech "Car Car" was about to take me to the bank without any real proof I had a blown head gasket. I honestly dont even recall him taking it on a test drive. They even left my cars front end smudged up with oil. They were going to charge me over $100 to tell me a complete lie but didnt in the end which is why 1 star was fitting. I didnt get screwed because I asked the right questions, I feel bad for the people that blindly listen to whatever they say.

These guys are the best in the valley. My cars engine had developed a sludge problem due to poor maintenance and rather than just telling me I needed a new engine they went the extra mile for me. They did a comprehensive exam of the engine and determined that it would be worth trying to save. They did just that in a very timely and communicative way. Now my car is as good as new! When all the other mechanics from around town were telling me that I was sunk the team at Hi-Tech Car Care made sure that I didnt spend more money than I needed to. Both James and Jim were a pleasure to deal with, and the shop was very clean and organized. Lastly, during the duration of my car being fixed somehow one of my rims was scratched. They were nice enough to not only fix the scratch for free, they even had their technician touch up all of the other rims as well. Their type of integrity is not often seen in business any more and it was so refreshing to experience! Thank you Hi-Tech Car Care!!!

This is an honest and hard working company My husband and I have high expectation for the quality of customer service and care for our cars and our family; we have been coming to high tech for over a year now and have had no second thoughts about taking a cars anywhere else. The mechanics analyze your car for current problems and even provide you with a break down of future services needed. While your car is being fixed you can sit in the lobby and the staff openly speak to you and make you feel right at home. We have had the pleasure to get to know the staff and we are 100% confident that we can trust them and the services they suggest and prices associated. Our family makes known our standards and can happily say we recommeded high tech car care....you will not look else where! bring both our mercedes and hyundai to this shop

Do not trust these guys, although they were recommended and had a high rating, They do not care about you only money and do not follow even simple requests. I asked them to call first before making repairs to make sure they fix the right problem, They did not call and the proper repairs were not made. They say they fixed other things. They also gave off a racist vibe, although I do not pull that card ever, they REALLY seemed and talked to me with a stare of a racist. I forgot to clarify the racist part was when picking up the van I had 2 friends who drove me over who were hispanic and they stared heavily until I explained they were with me, which was very rude....My complaint is mostly over the crappy non work they claimed they did and charged. The lady in front was very nice, the guys are scheisters and thieves!

Hi-Tech Care Care is by far the best car service and repair shop Ive found in Phoenix. A friend referred me to this place after I complained about the dealership being way too expensive. Ive had the pleasure of working with James for the past few years and you wont find anyone more knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and honest in this business. In my experience of owning six German sedans during the past two decades, once you find someone that will perform excellent work at a fair price without trying to sell you a bunch of stuff you dont need, that person is worth their weight in gold. I appreciate the fact that James always goes out of his way to make me feel like a valued customer and that alone is priceless in my book.
