My moms car breaks started making squeaking sounds, and eventually grinding, so we knew the breaks needed replacing. She called around and found that Just Brakes had an "amazing" (aka too good to be true) price of $89.99. We took the car in and they said it would be 15 minutes while they inspected the problem. Half an hour later the guy walk in and say, "Its the end of the world!" That was my first red flag. I was like.....seriously? Its that bad? So he walks us out and shows us the worn down break pads and proceeds to explain how the calipers are sticking and causing excessive wear on the rear brakes. My mom is somewhat impulsive, so she started to believe it, but I insisted that we take it to the dealership and let them look it over because if it was a faulty part then it should be covered under warranty. So the next day I take the car to the dealership. An hour later they tell me that there is NOTHING wrong with the calipers at all, and that they have never had to replace the calipers in my type of vehicle. I insisted on speaking directly with the technician, and he explained everything to me very clearly, and even laughed when I mentioned Just Brakes. He also had 25 years dealing with my specific make of car. After looking over many reviews of Just Brakes, I realize that they are little more than scam-artists and thieves. They scare you into buying unnecessary low quality parts that will need replacing in the next year. DO NOT GO HERE! Save yourself the time and visit a reputable shop. Even going to the dealership will be cheaper in the long run because they provide quality parts. Hope this helps.

I recently started having some issues with my brakes... a little squeaking and some grinding from tim to time. I had heard the just brakes commercial on the radio and decided to give them a chance. I got on the almighty google machine and found some distrubing reviews. Still I decided to give them a shot. I called them up, and Chris answered the phone. He asked a few simple questions and set a appointment for the same day. I arrived at the scottsdale location a little worried, but went in asked for Chris. We exchanged normal greetings and I explained that his shop didnt have good reviews. But that I chose to give them a chance. So I hope I dont leave disappointed. He smiled and said he would take care of me... Thanks Chris... he did just that. After looking over my brakes. He brought me in, to go over what he thought needed done. To my surprise he gave me a good honest opinion. My brakes only needed pads and he advised to get the calibers done at some point. But it wasnt a life and death situation. My total was 111 and some change. Car riding good, brakes working great. My only negative comment is it did take 3 hours... but to their defense; they had 3to4 cars ahead of me. Overall, I was very please with the service and it was affordable.

I fully agree with the review on Jan. 27, 2008. I regret I didn’t check the review before going to the place. I have a 2005 Nissan Altima in need of brake pads. The price for $90 in their commercial is crappy ones. So, they asked for $240 for the brake pads. When they started to check the car: (1) They told me the brake fluid is leaking although it is obvious the fluid under the reservoir was spilled when the fluid was topped last time I had the car maintained in the dealer. They suggested to bleed the brake system. It was ridiculous to change the fluid instead of fix the leakage! (2) They told me to replace the four rotors. The rotors looked perfectly fine to me. I insisted not to do that because I want my original parts instead of the service parts only guaranteed for 90 days. After quite an argue, they gave up. Finally, they told me "Well just slam the brake pads and will not guarantee anything." Okay, that is how I had my brake pads replaced. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience and I strongly recommend NOT coming to this place. They treat your car as a piece of crap and treat you as a fool knowing nothing. You feel they desperately need to pay their bills by replacing everything on your car.

Horrible! The Google users’ reviews down there with anonymous names are their own people! Brought in my car a year ago and thought that the employees there were nice and they had a good price. My car started to make squeaky noise, three months later. I brought it back in to check and then they told me that there was no problem. I drove on it again and four months later there were noises again. Now, a year after the installation, all the brakes are gone. DON"T GIVES ME THAT DEPENDS ON HOW YOU DRIVE CRAP! I know how I drive and I know how long brakes can last. I took my car back in the other day and they quoted me a lot of money. They said I have to pay for their labor which they charged me a $100 for and I also have to buy new rotors. I understand that rotors need to be replaced after a while but if it wasnt their stupid brakes, my rotors will still be good. Really, pay for labor when u guys did a horrible job in the very beginning. NO WAY!

Took my car to have brakes fixed and found out there were other issues, but these issues didnt need fixed right away so I decided to skip for now. After I told Jesus several times that I did not want the extras, he continued to try and sell me. He also offered to show me what was wrong, which was nice and transparent, but I told him over and over that I wouldnt know what I was looking at and that I needed to get back to work ASAP. Again, he continued to push the matter, wasting 15-20 minutes of my time. When I picked it up, the brakes were fixed but they totally neglected to do an oil change that I requested and was confirmed by Jesus. The staff in the shop were also smoking cigarettes in the shop while working on cars. In conclusion, the brakes were fixed but I will not be going back go this location.

I was married 55 years and my husband took care of all the car maintenance. When he passed away in 2012, I didnt have much car maintenance knowledge and when the brakes started making a grinding noise I was devastated. What do I do now? Well, Just Brakes literally saved me. I have never been treated so nice. They explained everything that was wrong, and how it would be fixed. I felt I was so comfortable, and never had the feeling I was being taken advantage of because I was a woman. I also knew if there was a problem, they would stand by their workmanship. You guys are the best. Thank you for being there when I needed help....

Im on permanent disability and because of it money is extremely tight. However, my wifes car doesnt care about that and when the brakes wore out with only 50,000 miles on the car I was upset. I know pads wear, but we had them checked elsewhere at 35000 miles and they adjusted them to where they dragged and wore out the rotors. Just brakes stepped in and fixed the brakes like brand new in one afternoon and at a price we could handle. They worked with us and actually cut their profit to get the job done and keep our family safe. I will be back to see them and not just for brakes. Thank you Just Brakes, you guys rock!!
