It was because of all the great internet reviews that I chose Master Muffler and Brake to replace all four rotors, pads and a caliper. People will only use the word "trust" about the people they can be vulnerable with. So when more than one person used the word "trust" in their review, I knew I was in safe hands with Craig and Don. I came in from Arkansas with bad brakes anyway but driving downhill through the mountains cut into my rotors to the point I was riding on blessings just to get to Sandy, UT safely for my fathers funeral. I was only in town for the funeral and needed to get back on the road as soon as possible. Don stayed way after closing to put my new rotors on so I could get back on the road the next day. Craig even found me a coupon I did not know about which took down the price he quoted me. Yes, I didnt have to pay more than what he quoted me!!! I even asked for "delivery truck" quality rotors on my personal 15-passenger van! When I told my family how Craig and Don went above and beyond to help me get back on the road to Arkansas in a timely manner, my sister who also drove into Sandy for the funeral said that Master Brake and Muffler were the same exact people she was so happy with who had worked on her radiator the day before! From all these reviews, we can see that Craig and Don deliver consistent quality because it is in their integrity to do so. Its just who they are!!!

I brought my car in after my wife hit something in the road that made blew out the rear tire and made the car feel loose in the back, like it swayed back and forth while driving it. I read the reviews online and felt like I could trust them to give me an honest assessment about my car. I was worried that the car had something broken and could cost 100s to repair. After I dropped off my car they called me later in the day and let me know that it was only my front and rear steering alignment. Because they dont do alignment, they asked if I would like to have them take it to a neighboring business to have it done or if I preferred to take the car to another business to have it done. I asked if it would cost anything additional to have them take it and they told me that they would pass the cost form the other place over to me and it would not cost anything additional. I appreciated that they were upfront and honest with me the whole time. I would use them again and recommend them to family and friends. It would have been easy for them to either charge me more that the actuarial cost or to have never let me know that they brought it to another business to have the work done. They have their specialty work that they do and in this case the alignment repair was not part of their specialty. Too many companies try to be all things to all people and you end up getting worse results and poor service.

I have taken my two Subarus to Craig and the crew at Master for nearly 20 years now (and my wifes Toyota minivan for the last 8). Exceptional service and honesty. I really appreciate how they keep me informed and call me with updates and options for repairs. Importantly, if work does not need to be done, they tell you so and save you money. On more than one occasion, I dropped off a car expecting to have to do hundreds of dollars of work (like a brake job or something), and they called to say it was something totally minor (dust on a pad, loose bolt) and sent me on my way without charging me. Very smart way to build trust and loyalty and I very much appreciate it. I have had work done by them ranging from oil changes to timing belts to full axle replacements and everything in between. Great work every time. The only problem is that they keep my old Subaru running so well with 225K miles on it that I cant justify getting a new car yet! What a good problem to have.

Liars, cheaters and thieves! I took my car here simply to get a safety inspection done. They told me my exhaust/muffler system was rusting and falling apart and the whole thing needed to be replaced. They quoted me over $400. This made me skeptical, thinking to myself, "hmm.. these guys specialize in exhaust/muffler.. are they scamming me?" So I decided to take it to another car shop. Of course I had to pay the inspection fee again. These guys told me my exhaust/muffler system was 100% safe and functional, nothing wrong with it at all! And passed my inspection no problem. Do not trust a word these guys say. They are obviously out just for $$$ and not your interests at all. This really disgusts that a business like this can keep running. It makes me think how many people before me have been scammed by these guys.. Hopefully this review will deter others from being scammed also. Good luck everyone.

I have been taking my vehicles to this Master Muffler for several years. They have always been friendly, reliable, and honest. I have never been sold services that I didnt need. Craig has told me before that my brakes are getting close to needing to be replaced, but that they should be good for another six months. Other places would try to sell me a brake job immediately. They charge less for parts and labor than a dealership or other shop would. I once paid half as much at Master Muffler for a new starter than what I was quoted at another shop. I take my car to a service facility until I feel Ive been lied to or ripped off. Ive been going to this Master Muffler for 20 years for service, maintenance, inspections and emissions, and to ask their opinion, and Ive never left feeling that they had taken advantage of me. Their work is good, and they are the most honest shop Ive ever been to.

I cant speak highly enough about these guys. This review has been a long time coming. I have taken my car to Craig and his team for over 5 years. I have never had a bad experience. I have always been treated fairly by all the staff and Craig works to make sure youre taken care of. We moved to pleasant grove, but still take our cars here because this place is worth the drive! Most recent experience I had, an emissions place near by failed my cars breaks twice because they werent reading right on the sensor. I took it to Craig and he fixed readjusted the brakes, signed off on the safety, and sent me on my way with my new stickers. Thanks for helping me avoid a good number of headaches guys!!

I brought a vehicle to Master Muffler and Brake for a family member who was on an extended trip and who had told me earlier that major brake work was needed on the vehicle. I explained this and left the vehicle to be checked out. I received a call back saying it appeared the brakes were fine and that the parts all looked quite new. (The brake work apparently was done just before the family member left, but I hadnt heard about it.) A much less expensive problem (with the suspension) was discovered, and I asked that it be corrected. The needed repairs were made promptly and at a reasonable cost. I was happy with the honesty and quality work I experienced with Master Muffler and Brake.
