I am a law student. Here is the review I wrote for my school newspaper. I do honestly believe you are a complete idiot if you get your car fixed elsewhere. Ok, maybe not a complete idiot because there are good auto body shops, but they are so difficult to find. If you are still not persuaded read my article below. Scottsdale Southwest Auto Body – Scottsdale, Arizona As law students we scour for money to buy books, cut coupons to buy groceries to eat, and on the occasion save a buck to shop for those dashing suits to look fashionable. Question is what do we do when we have little money to left and we get into a car accident? Let me IRAC this for you. Issue: We are broke in law school and when the occasionally driving mishap occurs (probably due to the Sum and Substance CD’s you are intensely listening too) we have no funds to fix our vehicles and finding an auto body shop that aren’t total slim balls are few and fare between. Rule: Compass Bank, Ed Financial, Sally Mae, give us money to survive, but that does not include $$ from dumb driving mistakes. Analysis: Law school literally takes everything you’ve got. Mental, physical, and financial burdens are constantly annoying you. Well rest assured if you ever get into a car accident there is an auto body shop that can save you both time and money…ethically. I met Sean last year after my first car accident. The woman who hit me had no insurance and I was too flustered with school to take the time and report her to the City. I took her phone number and license plate thinking she was a “good person.” Ha. Literally the next day she changed her number and the City of Scottsdale couldn’t find her information from the license plates. Grand. I was stuck with a $900 estimate to fix my car and no money to do so. Even Mom let me ride this one out alone. Thinking back to the accident I would have called the police, got a report, got all of her information, and if possible even her social (yes I am bitter). However, Sean from Scottsdale Auto Body saved the day. He understood I was broke had no money, probably from the drastic phone call he received when I told him my life story while crying, but nonetheless took a look at my car and save me that $900. The dent was fixable and within hours he popped it out for a mere $40 (now my dent was minor so don’t call him thinking your total should be $40 max). I literally went from $900 to $40. I wanted to call the guy who gave me the $900 quote and slap him through the phone. Sean is ethical, hard working, nice, and just wants customers to return. He said he would call me when the car was ready. Usually auto body shops don’t call you, but you can call them and if they get to it then you can pick it up. Sean called me hours after I dropped it off to say my baby civic hybrid was ready to grace the streets in its eco-friendly ways once again. One last pitch. Unlike your usual auto body shop that brokers the work out to someone else for some run of the mill under quality work at Scottsdale Southwest Auto Body Sean is the owner, manual labor technician, cashier, receptionist, and marketer. He does quality work for the right price. Many of you know I am cynical and cheap, not the best words you want to be described by, but damn it I like deals. I rarely write reviews. I mean you really have to impress me. I don’t know Sean, his shop, his friends, his prior customers, but I do know he is a phenomenal person who gives quality work at the right price. If you are ever in need of auto body work, and even if your insurance will cover it, do not go somewhere that will broker out the work. Go to Scottsdale Southwest and see Sean.

Horrible Customer Service, I Called for a Quote And the Person Who Answered the Phone Proceeded to put the phone on the counter and sit on their cell phone for about 15 minutes with a friend of theirs. I hung up and called back. The phone rang for about 20 minutes, when the same person finally picked up the phone. When i asked what happened they said they had a bad connection. I ignored the blatant disregard for customer service, and asked for a quote, they quoted me pretty fairly, and since most of the shops around me were booked up and i needed my car worked on soon, i went with Scottsdale. Needless to say i brought my car in and they fixed it rather quickly. Almost too quickly. When i was on the way home, i got pulled over and ticketed due to the fact, that both my brake lights were out. When i called to ask them if they might have disconnected them, they told me there was absolutely no way it had been their staff. They refused to take a look or reimburse me. On further inspection of my car i found that, the calipers on my rear brakes were replaced with used calipers, and the alternator that was supposed to have been replaced , has not even been touched. Looks like i shelled out about 800$ for used calipers and the Staff to Sit on the Phone. I have called repeatedly and been denied any compensation what so ever. If i was not short on funds i would take them to court. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR/BUSINESS HERE AT ANY EXPENSE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Great service, fair prices. This shop owner goes the extra mile to diagnose the issue and fix it, at the least cost for the customers. I highly recommend this shop. You will not be disappointed.
