Dont trust this shop with anything more than tires or a basic oil change. Every time I had them do more involved work they broke something else or the work needed to be redone later. Their techs just arent trained properly for major work. The worst experience was for a coolant leak repair on my 2005 Pontiac G6. Their tech damaged or didnt properly install the vehicles plastic splash shields correctly. They came loose and broke off the bottom of the car when I was driving 70mph on the freeway. Credit where its due the manager was apologetic and had the splash shields replaced at no charge to me. Still, those shields coming off the car couldve caused an accident. Another bad experience I can recall involved an alternator replacement on a Mercury Grand Marquis. It failed and needed to be replaced again less than a year (and very few miles) later. Theyre also regularly trying to sell services that you might not really need at that moment. Replacing tires, brakes, etc. that have plenty of life. Before educating myself on cars I just took their word for it. But later in life I found I could safely get many more miles out of things Firestone will push you to replace. I wish I had known better when I was a broke college kid. And unless you provide or specify OEM parts youll get low quality aftermarket. I was stuck going to Firestone for years because their credit card was easy to get and I couldnt afford to pay out-of-pocket. But in the long run I paid far more than going to a dealer or quality repair shop (or doing the work myself!).

My least favorite part about going to auto shops is I always feel like I get all of the money drained from my account as soon as I walk in the door. The first stars comes from the fact that they are timely and get the job done fast. Given I only went in for a standard oil charge, $19.99, and was told I needed the premium blend, which cost $52.99. Somewhat a bit luck that one of the coworkers stepped in and said that he has a civic to and I would be fine with the synthetic blend at $41.99. I gave them an additional star because at least they didnt have all the oil drained out of my car before informing me of the price difference. My biggest issue was that I have a car that I purchased brand new almost 3 years ago, and they proceeded to tell me that I need almost $800 worth of repairs on it even though it was in "fairly decent condition". These repairs included a $200 fuel system cleaning. A $40 air filter replacement (mind you I got a new one less that a year ago, less than 10,000 miles, at a place that cost me $10). Plus air filters are hands down the easiest things to replace by yourself, SO DONT BUY IT FROM AN AUTO SHOP! A $350 tire replacement because my tires are in "rough shape" and needed a $190 lifetime realignment service too. Checked the tread when I got out, couldnt see the top of Lincolns head. If you want to be penny pinched as soon as you walk in the door, go to this place.

Went for an oil change and alignment today. Decided not to go with the alignment initially because it was quite pricey to begin with. When tech came out to car to get VIN and license plate he said, "whoa, you definitely need an alignment, see how the rear tires are curving in like that?" So we decided to just get it done. When they called to tell us all the other "recommended" work they never mentioned anything was wrong. We went to pick up our vehicle and they said that they could not do the rear alignment as they would need a camber kit to do so but that my front end still needed it done so they performed the service. I said if this is a known issue for Saturns why would you not just tell me up front, he said he was not a mechanic but only a sales rep. I said you only did half the job so I should only pay half the price, he immediately agreed to that. However, I am still very upset that I was led to believe they could perform the service they suggested we do and then could not follow through. As a "Complete Auto Service" store they should be able to tell customers up front what can and cannot be done when making an appointment. We really should not have been charged at all for this service.

Best Firestone in Phoenix/Mesa area bottom line!!! Googled Firestone in Queen Creek area and found most had no review or bad reviews except one. Drove the extra mile to visit this location and glad I did. Toyota dealer wanted $220+ for a simple break job on my 09 Scion tC. I had previously purchased my tires and lifetime alignments from a Firestone in Oregon and used my CFNA Credit account. I dont trust my car with just any shop. I had my front break pads replaced, rotors turned, full 4 tire balance/air check, one tire replaced with my road hazard ($55 for $125 tire/had a nail in the side wall), rotation, synthetic oil change, alignment and full vehicle inspection all done here. The visit only cost me $254 and a two and a half hour wait (well worth it for the good service), it was more than pleasurable watching History Channel drinking coffee and eating cookies! The only thing they forgot was to fill my washer fluid as I had requested, no big deal. While I was there I met another man that had been using this location for a few years, he had relocated recently and still drives the extra mile to get good service! Thank you for the excellent customer service Scott and Reilly!!!

I guess, staffing may vary, but Ive generally always had good experiences here. Theyre pretty accommodating with drive-ins if you dont make an appointment - just dont expect your car to be done right away. The prices on most things are pretty fair as well. I did have one sub-par experience that involved patching my tire: I came in once because I had a slow-leak in one of my tires, so I had them take a look at it to see if it could be fixed. When I returned, they said they had pulled the nail and patched that tire, but also found another small nail in a different tire. They said they pulled that nail out but didnt patch it because they couldnt find the hole, and it didnt appear to be leaking. I thought, what a terrible idea, and sure enough after a week, this other tire was now under pressure because of a leak. After taking it back in, they took a look at it, and dunked it several times to find a leak, but they ended up never finding the hole, and said to drive around more, and eventually itll grow large enough to be visible for them to patch it. Incredibly frustrating, but at least they didnt charge me for any of the labor this second time while searching for the hole...

Base on some of the negative reviews I wasnt going to take my vehicle to this shop. I am sure glad I did. I needed and oil change and walked in without an appointment. I was greeted right when i walked into the door. They were really busy so i figured the oil change would take a few hours. The employee said the service would take less then an hour. I agreed and checked my vehicle in for service. I signed the paper work and grabbed a free bottle of water as I sat in the lobby. A few minutes later I saw my car being pulled in and the mechanic started working on my car. They informed me of some service that were due on my car. They asked me to check my records to see if the services had been done on my var. If not I could reschedule to have then done at anytime. My car was done in under 40 minutes. They were friendly and fast. I found a new place to take my car. Thanks
