I used to be a customer with Public Storage (the one right by Stanley Boulevard) I had been their for over a year (this was in late 2013) and was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the... 1. Lack of cleanliness in Public Storages units (dust, dirt, spiders, and cobwebs in my unit). I would cough every-time I opened my unit... it was that bad 2. The General dilapidated state of their entire premises; it honestly reminded me of a crappy used car dealership in Stockton. My ear drums would almost burst from the horrible screeching noise of sliding my screen up everytime I opened my unit. 3. The sly monthly rate increases that they would consistently reintroduce every three or six months to my unit, without any improvement in service whatsoever. I later realized that the company "Public Storage" does this as an underhanded business trick to offset and later profit from the cost of having to give you first month "free" or at a reduced rate in order to entice you for your business in the first place. Thus in the beginning of 2014, I decided to find a new storage facility and walked into Extra Space storage. I was very impressed... Paetra (their property manager) was very courteous, funny, communicated well and above all listened to my concerns about my previous experience at "Public Storage" and promptly and specifically addressed each and every one of them. Furthermore the general premises and the unit that she showed me, were in very good condition and were very clean (absolutely no dirt, dust or agonizing screeching noises). The premises also just feels a lot more secure and now that I am a customer I have a greater piece of mind keeping my stuff their. Honestly the reason I feel more secure leaving my stuff their is because of Paetra, and its because she genuinely cares about all of her customers, and sincerely likes her job (unlike any other staff member that I ever interacted with at other storage facilities). So if I do-- God forbid-- ever experience theft, I know Paetra will have my back and take care of me. To top all off their prices are very reasonable, and even if Extra Space does increase their rates slightly; I wouldnt mind paying extra because of the significant increases in value that I have received from Extra Space and Paetra.

You really cant ask for a better storage company/solution. Ive been with Extra Space Storage, Pleasanton for well over a year and a half and have never once had an issue. Their staff is very courteous and are there on the grounds should you need them. The grounds are well monitored, well landscaped and maintained, and the storage facilities (pathways includes) are always free of dirt and debris. There are a bevy of size and location options: inside, outside, upstairs, downstairs, and rental prices arent going to break the bank. Payments are a breeze with the option to set up automatic payments (highly recommended). So there is never a risk of late fees or having your items in jeopardy of being forfeited. One of my favorite features, aside from the on-site courtesy carts, would have to be the fact that Extra Space has terrific access hours! So, in summation if you are looking for storage options in or around the tri-valley area, I highly recommend Extra Space Storage Pleasanton.

My experience with the Pleasanton location of Extra Space Storage has been incredible !! Right from the start, Paetra the location Manager made the entire process seamless, fun, welcoming while being extremely professional. In all honesty, I was worried about safety and never experienced any issue or concerns. Additionally I was concerned about rodents inside my unit (naturally as ALL storage facilities have rodents), this location not only has a proactive protocol in place just for that - I NEVER had any issue or evidence of. My concern ? I had a few sacks of dry dog food being stored. My unit was always clean and I never had an issue there. Additionally, every visit I had, I was greeted super genuinally by the employee for that day, not to mention all renters as well. I would recommend this location of Extra Space Storage to anyone !!! Its the best value in the area and with exceptional service. THEY Rock !!!

I rented here for about 6 months or so, and loved it. John was a very helpful person, and always answered any questions I had. When I recently moved out, I had some boxes I wanted to recycle at the facility, but it was full to the brim. John saw that I was disappointed that I would have to recycle them on my own, and was nice enough to store it away until the truck comes for the recyclying, and told me he would do it for me. The facility is really nice and clean - clean bathrooms, too. You have an access code to use to get in and out of the facility with a gate, and I felt safe with my personal belongings being there. They also have mattress pads, ropes, box cutters, bubble wrap and things like that to purchase for good prices within their office. Its also near major freeway entrances, and is easy to get to. I enjoyed my experience a lot -thanks John! I highly recommend it. :)

I have been using Extra Space storage Pleasanton CA since 2009 & just love the facility. Their always nice & very helpful when your not sure of size. The grounds & indoors areas are always clean. Especially the restrooms. The customer services are just Awesome, always cheerful & helpful. Never rude, even when I had an issue (&arrguement) with my son onsite & he wasnt listening to anyone, she handled it very calmly & appropriately. In 2012 I moved in apartment but had once again needed storage 6 months later & of course was so happy I returned to the facility. Also a few times I had financial issues but they were always helpful working with me which is a big big thing for me in these hard times. Very satisfied with them.

My husband and I are new customers and we are very impressed with this facility and with the Store Manager, Paetra Darby. We drove up to pay for our first month rent, and didnt realize that it was after 6:00 PM, and Paetra had just closed up the office. We were going to leave and return the next day, but Paetra graciously re-opened the office to help us, staying late to make sure our password worked to open the gate, and that we could locate our space. We appreciated her patience and cheerful manner, even though we were late customers. She seems to enjoy her job and is clearly proud of this facility, which is always a good sign.

As part of my job I have storage units all throughout Northern California. I can honestly say that Extra Space Storage in San Ramon is THE BEST storage facility in Northern California. The manager Jason is incredible!!! He provides excellent customer services to everyone and somehow even seems to know everyone by name. The facility is safe, clean, friendly and excellent at accepting my packages. Just last month I had a 50+ package shipment delivered to my facility which they graciously accepted and stored for me, no problems... I highly recommend this place to everyone!!

I arrived during the office lunch hours to try rent a storage unit it. I got back in my car, and was going to return in a couple of hours to rent a unit. The young lady working unlocked the door, ran out to my car, and said shed be more than happy to assist me while she was on her lunch break. She signed me up, and had everything completed in less than 20 minutes. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. I couldnt have had a better experience. Im very very impressed and appreciative how easy she made it for me.
