If youre looking for a facility that is friendly, clean and super secure--this is the place! Ive only rented for a short time, but have been surprised to get personal phone calls on a couple of occasions. One was from Christine verifying that some movers they hadnt seen before had our permission to remove items from our unit. Another call was from Jason to report that the lock on my space was locked in the open position! The fact that they noticed spoke volumes about their attention to detail. Plus, the ease of getting in and out and the safety of the location within a neighborhood has made me feel great about using this space as a closet that I can access frequently. My only suggestion for improvement is to tell customers in ADVANCE that they require renters insurance so that their possible existing policies can be used instead of being forced to purchase it through the companys carrier. Though Id had many conversations about renting, I never heard this until the moment I went to pick up the key! That felt a bit like a tactic. Otherwise, the overall experience is weighing on the very positive.

Would honestly give this place 0 stars if possible. Ive been a customer for 3 years and paid every month on time religiously. I recently moved and was a few days late on a payment and they literally blew up my phone like the world was ending. They made threats of late fees, losing my valuable items, etc. They also have raised the price of my unit 2 or 3 times over the past few years. They make everything as difficult as possible, for example making payments over the phone or requesting simple information unit owners are entitled to. There was a young girl who took my call when I tried to make a payment and made it so difficult that I spent nearly an hour trying to report it to someone higher up, which was of course useless. Cant wait to clear out my stuff and never come back. STAY AWAY!!!

LOVE THIS PLACE! As a rep for a cosmetics company, I have extensive experience with using various storage facilities throughout the Bay Area as I have moved. This location is my favorite! Jason and Mark were extremely warm, positive and helpful in my move here and are always available with a smile when I need anything! I love that I can have shipments delivered here and feel confident and secure that they will have them safely delivered into my unit. I highly recommend Extra Space Space Storage San Ramon to anyone who needs a safe, secure, clean, friendly facility to store their personal or business items. I am extremely pleased with the customer service at Deerwood location at Extraspace Storage. It has been a very pleasant experience working with Graeme at the front desk who truly tries to understands and give his best recommendations for your storage needs if one is not sure about them, which was the case in my situation. He would go out of the way to make sure that you understand all nuances about storage and if your needs would be changing in future then he would work with you on that by helping you make a plan. Overall the storage space is very clean and tidy and it appears that a very detailed care is taken of all the units.

I have had the pleasure of storing my personal belongings here at the San Ramon Extra Space Storage facility the past 3 years. I have found the operation to be very clean, safe and utmost friendly. There has been numerous times that I have asked the Management for assistance and they have been extremely genuine, helpful and friendly. My association has been specifically with the Manager and assistance manager Mr. Marc Aceves whom have been extremely helpful, professional and kind to me. I recently rented a 10 x5 unit from Extra Space Storage on Deerwood Rd. The same day I made my reservation online, I received a call from Melanie confirming the size of my unit and date of move in. We set up a time for me to come in to look at the facility and size of unit. The day I went in, Graeme was working. He was very helpful and knowledgeable on how I could fit all of my belongings into the size unit I had picked. I appreciated the tour and the one on one help. The facility itself is very accessible and clean. They have carts to help transport items to and from your unit. Parking is also close to the elevators.

The only reason I chose Extra Space Storage San Ramon was because of Jason Parr, the Manager of the facility. He had followed up with a phone call to me. I was not in a rush to acquire a storage space, but Jason was very polite and genuine in his desire to offer his help to have us make the right decision for our storage needs. Jason provided all the information to help us choose the right storage space and he provided suggestions on how to utilize the storage space to fit our future needs. You can feel very comfortable knowing that Jason Parr is the Manager of your Storage Facility. Thank you, John "BK"

Maria, Maria, Maria. She is so great and friendly and helpful. I rented a unit from this Deerwood location years ago and dealt with her. Then last year, I rented a parking spot from the Alcosta location last year and had the pleasure of dealing with her over there. Then today I return to the Deerwood location to rent another unit, and here she is again. Like an old friend. Or my guardian angel of storage :). Great person. Great customer service! I needed storage close to home, reserved online, went in & Melanie was the most awesome, friendly, professional, knowledgeable person I ever met. She was extremely efficient & accurate in adhering to my rental needs. The facility is super nice, clean, easy access, extremely secure, prices are great! Her customer service is 10 Stars!! The way she talked on the phone, helped in person was really superb! I hope to rent there for a long while, I love my space & the price & got the 1st month rental for free. I really am blessed! Extra Space Storage goes the EXTRA mile. The staff is amazing and will work to find you to most convenient unit for your needs. We upgraded our unit to a larger one and the entire process went extremely smoothly. They found us a larger unit near our smaller space so we didnt have to work as hard to make the switch. The units are clean and well cared for, the facility is always nicely taken care of and its easy to find carts when you need them. Their rates are competitive and their hours are fantastic. If youre looking for a great place to store your things, this is the one!
