I wish I had read the reviews for this location before I ever tried to have something delivered in this area while I was traveling. I ordered some luggage from Amazon and specified a hotel in Redondo Beach as the delivery. I was busy with work for the rest of the week but I noticed on the weekend I hadnt received my package yet. When I tracked the package, USPS stated it had tried to deliver twice but the "office was closed". I found this strange since Ive left at 4AM a few days and there was always someone present at the front desk. Sure enough, there is always someone at the front desk and they had not seen any package for me attempting to be delivered or received any delivery notice slip. Since the USPS website stated the package was at this location and after calling the 1-800 number in reference to this package, I decided to pick it up Saturday afternoon (at the encouragement of the 1-800 representative). I could NEVER get anyone to answer the damn phone at this location. I called 10-15 times and just left the phone on speaker and after 1-2 minutes of ringing it would automatically disconnect. I decided even without a voice confirmation of this package, to stop by this location (after all, both the website and the representative said I could pick it up). The line wasnt long but instantly the postal worker starts making up excuses of why I couldnt pick up the package-I needed a slip, etc. He said he would check for the item, returns 5-10 minutes later and says they do not have the item. He recommends letting them deliver the item, to which I respond they havent done it Thursday or Friday so I dont expect them to on Monday. I am told there is nothing I can do except call back and speak with the manager on Monday. When I ask what happens if the package isnt delivered I am told to come and pick it up! Thats what Im trying to do now! On my way out of the office I decided to call the number to this location. I hear a faint ringing that isnt even at the front desk, none of the workers do anything but let it continue to ring. This place is a trainwreck that reeks of incompetence.

I have lived in Redondo Beach for the past three years and have only needed to go into our beautiful Post Office four times. Each time has been a real pleasure for me. Very short line - very friendly and helpful service without rushing me through - almost an old fashioned feeling of graciousness. Moved from Santa Monica after waiting in line 40 or 50 min. they grab the package - the credit card and are yelling Next before you can get your receipt back! These people Are Doing A Great Job! It is very difficult for me to believe many of these reviews. As far as I know I have Never had mail tampered with - I will still trust Postal Workers 99% over the people working other kinds of jobs in our country! Just think about it! How many times have you been ripped off by the Post Master??? RrCurry

They Deserve Zero Stars! Worst Post Office Ever! Consider yourself lucky if you live Redondo and dont have to deal with this Post Office. It should be illegal to be this incompetent. On three different occasions, I have had a Priority package "Out for Delivery" only to find out that the package never got on the truck after speaking with the mailman. Then I go to pick the package up at the Post Office and they say it isnt there! WTF!! Who is running this shoddy operation? How do you lose track of mail that has a tracking# with such regularity? They need new management ASAP! They also need to know the definition of PRIORITY. This is becoming a regular occurrence and I cant take it anymore. Theyre making me so mad that IM about the go Postal on their ARSES!!

The same bad experience with passports as other people. They told me to get there by 3.30, I left work early and rushed to get there at 3.00 pm, the woman refused to process me. Nasty atittude too, not even trying to help. I told her I called and what I was told, she said "well, they didnt ask me". I guess typical government emplyee, but this is the worst Ive ever had. Dont go there, make an appointment somewhere else. And lady, if you are so miserable in your job why dont you go somewhere else where you dont interact with people to spread your negativity! Worst postal office I ever had to deal with, when I moved I had to call them twice because they wouldnt forward my mail. They really take bad service to a new level. An embarassement for Redondo Beach.

I agree with the other posts...This is a terrible post office...They loose packages.. They will not scan in any tracking numbers.....and then claim there is no record of receiving it.... i have had Priority Post packages that are scanned as delivered yet there is nothing on my doorstep.. After dealing with a supervisor, the package is brought out from the back of this branch and handed over to me.... Wow even the tracking is way off... I have a different mail delivery person every week.... Neve know what time my mail will be delivered.... Also they have used temp mailmen who dont even have a USPS uniform... I now use the small post office in PV.. So much of a nicer experience...... Shoddy Shoddy Redondo Beach Post Office

This place is very shady. I got a package that required signature, i wasnt home so i missed it. Didnt see any notice left while tracking number said it was. Went to the office the guy said couldnt find it. Told me to go home and wait for their call, they didnt call me as promised. I dont care whats going on but they shouldve kept my package carefully in a proper place. Now i dont know what to do to get the package. Clerk said supervisor will contact me but never did. The whole place is very shady. Other postal offices were able to find my packages in 5 mins. U guys should file complaints/reports i feel like theres something shady inside this postal office. We must stop this

I have filed multiple complaints from mail being returned to sender with our correct address on it all the way to cookies my Dad sent in December for Christmas making it to us in a million pieces in March. I have spent my time going in to speak to them and either nobody is there, or theyre out back and wont come in to speak to me. I just had another issue, called the number provided, and on my second attempt after 3+ minutes ringing, someone picked up, hung up, and now its dialing busy. I know youre short handed, and Ive worked understaffed before- we all have- but this is far and away the worst experience Ive had with any entity ever.

The most poorly run organization I have ever experienced. Apathetic workers, complete lack of empathy and no willingness to exert a single iota more energy than absolutely necessary to complete the task before them. Shameful to have the words "United States" on their building. I no longer have mail sent TO MY OWN HOME because the chances of me receiving it are slim to none. I have lost hundred of dollars in goods based on the inadequacy of their workforce (and I err to the side of theft) and its sad to see such a legendary and proud organization go to crap. Free market economy has rendered this group obsolete.
