IF YOU WANT QUALITY SERVICE YOU HAVE TO GO HERE!! I have a 1995 Buick regal and calling it a lemon would be saying something nice. I came to John as a last hope when he shouldve been the one I went to see first!! My car needs so much work but the main issue was my ignition my car would cut off on the freeway or trigger its anti-theft, ive paid for tons of diagnostics at big name places like CAR CZAR and PEP BOYS and they couldnt tell me anything not a single thing. I had my car towed to John with the last of my money and he did my diagnostic for a flat rate of $59 I mean he like gutted the inside of my car to find the problem. Which he did, what he didnt have to do was along the way tell all the other things that could give me serious trouble down the line I dont have enough for the repairs which I tell him and he drops the price of the labor down offering to do some work for free. Fast forward 2 days and the car is fixed only the maker cut me the wrong key size by .5 of an inch!! John sends to employees to pick up my keys and go make me a new one they cut that one wrong again!! At this point im frustrated and we finally get the car right enough to go back to the place where he shapes the key almost perfect for my car, however turns out all along ive had the wrong sized battery for my car and that my connection is piss poor. By now its closing and I know that means I have to come back and pay more but nope John sets to work and fixes it up for free no extra charge so I can make it to work this week, he then tells me to come back on my next off day and hell go through and mark everything wrong w/ an estimate to let me know if my car is even worth the added expense and effort. I will never go to another mechanic the first sign of trouble w/ any car of mines, friends or family and im going straight to Auto Express. Seriously if you want someone whose honest and fair and wont sell you a dream to make a buck GO TO 1906 16TH (&S) ST you wont regret it.

I took my car here for an oil change and John noticed a couple of things that should be taken care of. One being a gas smell that I had been noticing and he found the problem right away. He took a lot of time to explain what he was seeing and give me honest information about what had to be done and what he would recommend doing first. As a woman taking my car somewhere, I appreciate things being explained to me openly and thats what he did. You can count on him to give you a lot of knowledgable and honest information if you take your car to him. Once the job was said and done on my Subaru WRX, he had put in more time then he thought he would need to and didnt charge me an arm and a leg for the extra service. This to me means a lot to me, to go somewhere and get an estimate and not be surprised by getting a bill for way more. He even took the time to look at my husbands brakes and test drive his car for no charge. I have a couple more things to do maintenance wise and I will be bringing my car back to John and his assistant! Thank you John for you honest information and hard work!

I went into Auto Express after my engine light kept blinking on and off after a long weekend of rain. John (the owner I believe) and his staff were amazing in helping me. I called around to about 10 places in Sacramento because I knew I needed to get an engine diagnostic test to see what the problem was. First off, Auto Express charged around half of what any other places offered ($59 as opposed to around $130). After this, John was able to diagnose and fix my engine in two days. It turned out that rats had infested my engine and had chewed through many of my engine chords. John was diligent in calling to keep me posted on how my car was doing throughout the process and made sure to call to check in a couple days after I left. On top of the great service and prices, John also made sure that I was not overpaying by calling GMC and making sure my battery was still under warranty. This extra effort saved me another $150 or so. I definitely recommend John and Auto Express to anyone in the area needing car assistance!

John is the best! I took my Nissan Altima for service at the suggestion of a friend and previous happy customer. John diagnosed the problem immediately and quickly fixed the problems. He replaced my motor mount, fixed the engine oil leak and replaced power steering pump. Not only did he do a great job, he has great customer service. He requested I bring it in a few days later to ensure things are running smoothly. Things have been great! My car runs like new again. The next time I brought my car in he replaced my headlight!! Its not an ordinary headlight. Usually the dealers have to special order it and charge an arm and a leg for it. John was able to obtain the lamp the same day, within minutes. Also, he did not charge for labor, just for the cost of the light. Johns prices are fair (below dealers), his attitude is great, hes really knowledgeable and his work is reliable. I definitely recommend him and his shop, Auto Express. I will definitely continue to bring my car here! No more dealers for me.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I tried to smog a truck there knowing that I just replaced the battery, and had to wait to have the car computer reset itself. They told me they would only check the computer only if I paid for the smog test, stating that the computer needs to know the VIN and be in the system. This was BS but whatever. I asked them if they would check the computer in the future to see if it would pass the test, and they told me that they would. This test takes all of about 30 seconds, literally they press the down arrow on the keyboard three times then hit enter and 20 seconds later the brief diagnostic test is done. After I came back a second time they said they would have to run the diagnostic test that time, knowing that I would fail. No customer service, this is something a lot of places do for free. THIS BUSINESS LIES TO YOUR FACE DO NOT TRUST THEM, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I am so impressed with the service here. I had a pool of oil under the mat on the floor on my drivers side (turned out to need a clutch master cylinder repair) I took my car to three places for estimates. Auto Express is the only one of the 3 places who made sure that I did not leave there (whether I decided to use them for the service or not) without making sure that I did not leave before they could check and add fluid/oil so that I could get home safely until I could get a repair the next day somewhere. They also quoted me over $100 less than the other two places. I came back the next day, they did the work, and only charged me $200.12 for parts and labor. Auto Express has good reviews on the internet they surely deserve it. I recommend them highly and will go back for any service/repair needs. Thanks for your honesty and great customer service!
