I was a desperate french student with a dead macbook pro. An awesome team of passioned saved my macbook pro for the cheapest price ever. My laptop was dead with black screen, i was scared about the hundreds of dollars that asked me lost of fixers, i finally found GEEKY computer in pacific beach. If you are really desperate and you dont have any solution about your computer or laptop, go to see them and you will see what the word passion means. So I woke up this morning and when I tried to turn my computer on, it simply would not do it. I googled computer repair, pacific beach, ca from a different computer and found these guys were both close (just a few blocks from my house) and well reviewed. I brought my dead computer in to their shop and watched as they began switching out parts between my computer and another until they found the culprit (a short in my cd-rom drive), taking about 3 minutes flat to do so. Over the next 10 or 15 minutes they replaced my faulty drive along with, at my request, a particularly loud internal fan that had been driving me nuts since I bought the thing years ago. Finally they informed me that they charge by the hour ($70 per) and that I still had 45 minutes-ish left if I had any other complaints with it. After running to an ATM to get $100 to pay them with (a mere $30 for parts), I left with a quieter, cleaner, better secured, smoother running and best of all working computer on which I am now writing this review. Just two or so hours after thinking I would probably have to buy a new one. My only complaint is that they were kind of hard to find at first, so let me save someone else a few minutes of confusion by saying that to get there you should look for the open door and stairwell next to the Ra-ka-Di-ka Thai restaraunt on the west side of Cass St., about half a block north of Garnet Ave., then walk all the way to the end of the hall at the top of the stairs and there they are.

When ones computer goes down due to a virus....anxiety...and worse case scenarios rise. From the minute I spoke with the tech "D" I was pleasantly surprised. He had a very calm demeanor and a very confident tone in his voice. Nothing like hearing "I can help you with that." They were quick w/in 36 hrs, not over committing, listened, sincere about the diagnosis (gains and losses), and made eye contact. Huh, must be old school. Their prices were fair and that is a bonus, because I know that at the moment of despair I dont always care about a price. I will go back to them if I have another IT issue.

I was very impressed with PB Computer Repair. They gave me a free consulation right when I walked in the door. They were straight and honest with me, not recommending any services I didnt need or trying to sell me anything. The diagnosis turnaround was very short (one day, but mine was a bit complicated, the graphics card embedded on my motherboard was damaged. otherwise it would likely have been immediate). They offered a fair, competitive price, and they really stand behind their results. I would reccomend them to anyone with computer repair needs.

i was in dire need of my laptop getting fixed since at times it wouldnt find a bootable drive, and i was so satisfied with the fact that they offer free estimates and what won me over was the fact that compared to bestbuy and other places that take forever to give you your computer back, at this place the process was way faster and at really cheap price too. Since i use my laptop for everything i was so happy to get my computer back asap

Great local shop, fair prices. The tech there, Devin, was very personable and made sure I understood what was going on (I am not very computer savvy) I took advantage of their free estimate to diagnose my Macbook that wouldnt boot up. This review is a few weeks late but Im glad to report that my computer is still working better than ever. If you are in San Diego and in need of computer repair, I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I found your store to be friendly, you listened to me patiently and made good suggestions on how to fix it, all in laymans terms so I didnt need to ask what? and you didnt make me feel ignorant. You accomplished your work in a short amount of time and the price was reasonable. I will definitely come back and anyone reading this that is in need of computer work, this is the place, dont bother to look any further.

Excellent Work!! Data recovery done right!! Devin had assisted me with an external that had crashed with thousands of dollars of data, and recovered it all. I tried a computer shop that wasnt as local as Geeky Clean and they gave me the ole run around and didnt restore any data for me, just gave me corrupted files. Thanks guys, I now have a trusted local computer shop.

I had a great experience here. Devin was very friendly and helpful. I had a virus on my computer, turned it in on Tuesday, and it was clean and back up and running by Wednesday. This is a great small business. Ive had work done at Best Buy in the past and it was twice as expensive and took over a week to get my computer back. I highly recommend Geeky Clean.

Was in San Diego for business and walked into the Geeky Clean PC store and met a young man named Devin. WOW is all I can say, I am not computer savvy and just picked up a new Gateway laptop and he had me straightened out and all my problems were solved in 15 minutes. Would recommend this company to anyone that is in need of computer or laptop issues.

Im a college student that DEPENDS on having my computer. I needed a new hard drive and screen hinge which geekyclean fixed for less than best buy quoted for the hinge alone. It took longer than expected to finish, but Devin fixed the mouse clicker thing which was jammed for free. Definitely come here for good service at a very reasonable price.

No double talk from these guys they know what they are doing. Not often do you get computer guys that are not trying to run up your bill. I left a Mac with them on Friday they were done on Monday. I work in post production and need my Mac they worked on it over the weekend for me. Not your average repair company.
