I have been a customer at Japan Auto Repair since 1989. I would not go anywhere else but to Japan Auto Repair. I feel lucky that I found Japan Auto Repair as early as I did. I feel my car is still on the road today precisely because of their expert diagnostic skills and ability to make the repairs on my car in a timely fashion and with very fair pricing. I have always received excellent treatment and my car has been the beneficiary of their excellent automotive skills. Everyone whom I meet who goes to Japan Auto Repair feels the same way about taking their cars there. Everyone knows they have the knowledge, mechanical and electrical competence, all the skills, abilities and they also have the friendly interaction and provide top customer service with their customers. They are truly the best in Marin.

If anybody reading this review has ever had the problem of wanting or needing to go to a mechanic and have their car checked, but are either unsure of where to go or have had some nightmarish experience with a sketchy auto repair joint or a mechanic that is trying to fleece you... then... STOP, READ and be INFORMED! Japanese Auto Repair is by far ... BY FAR... and Im talking hands down... THE BEST EXPERIENCE I have ever had with an auto repair establishment, thanks to a master at his craft; Owner Kenzo Kojima. He is like a doctor for your car.. Hes a car doctor..Who has his fingers on the pulse of what ails your vehicle and how it can be made whole once again. Do yourself and your ride a favor and stop by Japan Auto Repair because the doctor (for your vehicle ) is in and will see you now.

My wife and I have used Japan Auto for all of our auto maintenance and repairs since 1986. I tell friends that Id trust Kenzo and his crew with my life, because I think thats essentially what one does with their auto repair/maintenance shop. With more room to write, I could describe numerous examples of Kenzos honesty, friendliness and expert skills, as well as those of his technicians. From time to time, I have considered purchasing a non-Japanese car, but have decided against it, largely because Id have to find another repair shop. I just hope Japan Auto is around as long (or longer) as I am.

i have been very happy with the service i have gotten from japan auto (10 years). they play nice music in their shop. the shop is well run, clean, professional, and they do quality work. there is harmony, efficiency, focus in the shop. the mechanics seem to really like their job. the owner is never mean to them. there is no yelling or chaos. one time i had car towed in when it had stalled on freeway but car ran fine for them (bad gas?) and for me thereafter; they could have ripped me off and fixed "something". they are prompt, honest, above average.

Ive been using Japan Auto for servicing three different cars I have owned over the past several years. Not once have I been dissatisfied with the work performed. On one occasion a major 60,000 mile service was done by a Lexus dealership. Shortly thereafter i took the car to Japan Auto where it was discovered that several maintenance items had been overlooked. Subsequently I have only used Japan Auto for all my car repairs and servicing even though I live in the East Bay..

Prices are reasonable, everyone from the owner, Kenzo, down is helpful and attentive, and they stand by their work, even beyond reasonable guarantee time. I found that Kenzo and his team are among the best, if not the best auto service establishment I have ever dealt with. They are honest, prompt and extremely knowledgable, as well as pleasant and friendly.Having experiences with other service providers, including factory dealerships, I still maintain that Japan Auto is tops !!!

I always unconditionally recommend Japan Auto Repair. I believe they are the best auto repair shop in Marin. All repairs are made on-time and totally correctly. Very importantly, they are always available to us when we are traveling and something "goes weird" in one our autos. We have a friend in the auto repair business!
