1 extra Star for Friendly service. They did help me warranty my defective clutch that exploded even though I never wanted them to install this one to begin with. 800.00 for a clutch was super expensive for an OEM replacement. I expressed concerned with it not being able to hold as well as a performance but I said OK whatever do it since you already were replacing the motor and are in there.... Had issues with it since the install but babied it a long when winter came I didnt drive it much and cold weather seemed to make it better. Then a few weeks ago symptoms of burning and slipping became severe more so the warmer out it was. During acceleration it let go and shattered. Car was running perfect when I took it in there as I started it for the tow truck driver etc. Towed it into the shop to look at defective parts. They requested I "upgrade" I asked what the price difference was and he said 800.00 I said well I already paid 800.00 so lets do that. They said well no 800.00 more the clutch for a stage 1 performance was 1600.00 I asked what kind of clutches they installing he mentioned one was an ACT brand. Coincidentally I was on their website (ACT) earlier that day looking at sport/Perf clutches and found them on the site for $464.95 WOW a 1200.00 mark up over msrp!!! Then I said no gimme the stock replacement ill buy my own performance and install it myself later... Then I got the car back the clutch wasnt right and the car was dying they still managed to get 500.00 more dollars out of me for Flywheel and oil change. So I took the car back the next day to complain and they took a look at it and somehow the Mass Air Flow sensor went out from the time the car came off the tow truck till the time it left the first time.... I was like fishy but I have no proof and things could happen even though unlikely... He then tried to sell me his which was $240.00.... UUUUUMMMM NO! So I went online and price checked it and you can get them from 50.00 to 109.00 with a lifetime warranty. Plus Advanced Auto gives 40.00 off 100.00 purchase making the lifetime Mass airflow 69.99 +tax vs his 240.00 version. So I said no ill buy my own and install it. He asked if I was sure and feeding me lines about the install. I said it is literally 2 torx screws and a wire harness plug. He then said OK how about I give you mine for 89.00. I said well ok but will I have any issue using my rewards coupons being that i spent over 9000.00 on a new engine and clutch I had lots of coupons for rewards? He said well no. I cant use the points I earned because this was just a hair over his cost... So his Cost was 89.00 and he was going to sell it to me for 240.00???? Friendly or not this place is taking advantage of people who dont know any better. Oh also one other thing to mention. I was charge a Diagnostics fee of 130.00 after I told them it was the clutch and what happened. Then they fixed it and didnt even remove the Diagnostics.... REALLY who charges that anymore. I know I havent went to a garage in a long time (other than to get a replacement motor) but it used to be it was only charged if you dont get the repair completed through that garage but since they had to have the car tore apart anyway it is no extra labor on their part just free money. This gets better too..... So after I picked up the car I notice that there was well over 50 miles put on the car from last drop off as well as a half tank of gas from the first time I brought them the car. I think to check the clutch and Mass Airflow wouldnt take more than a couple miles. They were also so comfortable they changed my wheel/seats all around and lumbar supports etc. I own a nice car and I never let anyone joy ride my vehicle. I am more than not happy with this place. I was trying to refer friends and family their because they were so nice and polite... Now, I highly doubt I would ever return to this shop for any reason.

I WAS VERY HESITANT TO BRING MY TRUCK INTO GRAHAM AUTO REPAIR AS IVE HAD PREVIOUS ISSUES IN THE PAST AND OTHER PEOPLES EXPERIENCES. WELL I DECIDED TO ANYWAYS AS THEY HAD AN OPENING APPOINTMENT. I TOOK MY TRUCK IN WITH A FEW THIGS I NEEDED TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. I ALWAYS EXAMIN EMY ENTIRE VEHICLE BEFORE LEAVING IT SOMEWHERE. AFTER ABOUT A DAY AND A HALF I GOT A CALL WITH A QUOTE ON A COUPLE THINGS THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. I DECIDED TO DO THEM ALL AS IT WAS BETTER THEN BRINGING IT BACK ANOTHER TIME. THEY NOTICED I HAD A FULL BOTTLE OF ANTI FREEZE, THAT I WAS GOING TO PUT IN BEFORE I NEEDED SOME REPAIRS. I TOLD THEM IT WAS OK TO USE MINE. WELL, THIS IS WHERE THE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE HAPPENED. I GET THE CALL THE TRUCK IS READY FOR PICK UP. THEY DIDNT EVEN DO ALL THE REPAIRS THAT WERE DISCUSSED OVER THE PHONE. NOW LEAVING ME TO MAKE YET ANOTHER APPOINTMENT AND MISS MORE WORK. SECOND, THEY USED MY ANTIFREEZE AND CHARGED ME!!! HOW IS THAT OK?? AND THE FINAL STRAW... WHEN I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE THERE WERE 2 HUGE GAUGED PAINT SCRATCHES ACROSS THE DRIVER DOOR. TWO!! AND VERY NOTICEABLE. I WENT IN TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED AS WE DID A WALK THROUGH PRIOR AND WAS TOLD THE MANAGER WOULD REVIEW CAMERAS AND GET BACK TO ME. 5 DAYS IN A ROW I CALLED TO GET A FOLLOW UP AND WAS NEVER CONTACTED OR ANYTHING. EVERY TIME I CALLED I WOULD GET THE RUN AROUND. NO APOLOGY OR ILL SEE WHATS GOING ON WITH LOOKING. THEY WERE RUDE AND HAVE POOR/HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE WILL MAKE SURE TO NEVER RETURN AND INFORM ALL OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT USE YOUR SHOP TO LOOK ELSEWHERE AS IT SEEMS YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE NOT A HIGH PRIORITY. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD!!

Im always hesitant about having others work on my vehicles, but, being new to the area, and without my tools, I was not in the position to major repairs. Rick at front desk was the consummate professional which spoke volumes to the quality of work that they perform. I needed some in-depth trouble shooting performed on my front suspension and they took the extra time to evaluate my entire vehicle to identify any additional issues. They were spot on with a small coolant leak I had from the water pump bypass hose, which is a very small hose to locate and is often misdiagnosed as the water pump itself. I bring this up because many "shade tree" mechanics will just tell those that are not mechanically inclined that it is the water pump as a means to raise the cost of the repair. Thank you for being honest. The only reason I took a star off is due to the length of time for an appointment (1 to 2 weeks). I wish there was an option to only take off .5 stars instead of a full point as this is not that big of an issue, but, it does require prior proper planning. Im sure that in an emergency situation they would be willing to bump up the timeframe dramatically; however, mine was just a routine repair. Nonetheless, I would, and will, recommend G.A.R. to anyone in need of quality work and feel completely comfortable having my wife take the car there in my absence without getting raked over the coals.
