This dealership is absolutely horrible. I took my car in for an inspection and had been waiting for almost 2 hours in the waiting room. The old man with the glasses and mustache who worked the front desk failed to come to the waiting room to tell me my car was done despite having asked me if i was going to the waiting room (to which i replied yes i am) and he said alright. I grew tired of waiting and went up to him and asked "uhm.. Excuse me.. I was just wondering how much longer my car was going to take?". He said "Oh your car has been done for a while I called you". I said " I never got a call on my phone and no one came to get me in the waiting room". He said he didnt see me in the waiting room despite us making eye contact with him 3 times AND his front desk mate talked to me and my friends twice about the basketball game on the TV in the waiting room. He said he called the number on the paper (my dads) but when i later asked my father he said he NEVER recieved a call or voicemail from them. So basically the front desk guy LIED TO MY FACE about his mistake. I wouldnt have been as mad as I am now if he had just been honest saying he messed up and forgot about me but the fact that he lied about it pushed me on edge. If there was another hyundai dealership in stockton, even if it was on the other side of town I would go out of my way to avoid the horrible service here.

Ive been shopping around for a Sonata for a few months now but havent pulled the trigger. When I came around Stockton Hyundai who was having a great deal on a 2015 Sonata Hybrid I figured now was the time. I went down on Saturday and worked some numbers, wasnt satisfied with the deal so I walked.... After re-working the numbers all night I decided to call the dealership back the next morning and tell them the deal I wanted and laid out the numbers. I was told I would get a call back and waited around. Still no call back by Monday, so I called Monday morning and was told I would be called back. When it finally reached the afternoon I decided the only way I would get answers was to physically be in the store. I went to the store and ended up re-working the deal that I worked on Monday. UGH! It felt like no one knew the numbers I had discussed on Saturday. I ended up being able to negotiate a bit more since this was now my second trip to the dealership and I was determined to leave with the car. I ended up walking with the deal that I wanted, but felt that better communication between the dealership staff could have led to a better car buying process. As Im a loyal Hyundai lover! I would return here to purchase again, but hope that a communication process is in process the next time around.

This is probably the weirdest experience I have ever had trying to buy a new car. The 2015 Sonata SE we wanted apparently was mispriced online (for about a week) because when we called to say we wanted to buy it, the manager (Joey) said they had priced it in error and not to bother to come. We were coming from Reno, so they would change the price before we could get here. The weird part is that this sales manager suggested we not bother to drive down and did not offer other cars as alternatives and did not even seem interested in seeing if we wanted the car at the corrected price. He went on to say we should be buying locally, anyway, WTH????!!! Wowee. I have never had a car dealership actively discourage me from buying a car and insist that it is better for us to buy a car somewhere else (like in Reno). As it so happens, the type of car we want (PZEV) is very hard to find in our state, unlike in California, which is why we were headed there in the first place. It is a mystery as to how these folks stay in business with that attitude. I can promise you that their competitors will not be making us feel unwelcome, and we are buying a new Sonata from one of them this week for sure.

This is rhe absolute worst dealership! They are crooked, unprofessional and deceptive. I had to return my car after having it 7 days due to the fact they couldnt get me financed. I asked if I was getting my down payment back and they said yes as long as i could get there in the next 20 minutes. Well i did and after about an hour or so I was given my down payment minus $700 because they claimed I had had front end damage while I had the car. That was a total lie. The only thing was that there were some clips missibg on front fender that had been that way when i got it and i even noticed a difference in paint leading me to believe there had been damage at some point prior to when i bought it even though the car fax said different. But my point is they ripoed me off and im mad as hell and they will not get away with it. I should of known they were shady when they sent 2 salesman to follow me home at 10 pm to retrieve a document they needed to finance the car and instead of getting the paperwork they made a marijuana transaction with one of the tenants on the property i live. So you figure it out do you really want to deal with this place?

Where do I start. I love my vehicle, but the people working there at the Stockton Hyundai dealership are completely moronic. I noticed an issue with my fuel gage so of course I took it in. My tank when full, initially read 500+ miles before empty and I recognized it slowly declining; 480 until empty, 450, 416, etc. After several attempts they finally concluded that it had always been that way and there was never anything wrong with it. They even had the audacity to say, "Well you have the standard Hyundai." Um excuse me? I may not be a mechanic, but last I heard a standard vehicle just meant features not the engine am I right? Of course I know the difference from a hybrid, but that comment still carried absolutely no relevance in this situation. Like I mentioned in the beginning, moronic. My next hyundai will not be bought from that dealership.

When my daughter brought her Sonata in for the recalls, the dealership offered to fix her windshield for her. However, they gave no estimate even though she asked for one, and were evasive and vague about cost when she called to ask for an update. The service department informed her they would work with her insurance regarding the cost, but never called her insurance company despite her multiple calls. When she showed up to get her car, they charged her $700, told her it was never set up through the insurance and refused to release the car to her until she paid. When I attempted to point out they were charging hey illegally since they never provided an estimate, they still refused. Go somewhere else; even if you get something in writing it wont be honored.
