Let me start by saying that I normally dont write reviews, and am not the type of person to make a stink about customer service; and I surely dont want to waste my time on the computer writing about crappy customer service. I have worked in retail management for many years and know what its like to experience an unhappy customer. I went to Speedee to get my Jeep smogged and it ended up not passing (I had a coupon for $34.99 smog check ). The tech told me that since it didnt pass he would give me half off my next test (which would make the re-test $17.49)- great service. I brought my other car back for an oil change the other day, great service. Today, my husband and I brought two cars (including the Jeep which needed re-testing) back to Speedee for smogs. The girl rings up my Nissan for $49.99 at which point I ask her why its that much since it says on a giant balloon thing outside that the price is $39.99. She didnt know. If youre going to advertise a sale, make sure your employees know. No big deal. Then she rings up the Jeep (which I was supposed to get half price- the guy told me- my fault for not getting it in writing). I tell her the tech said he would give me half price (the whole reason I went back there in the first place- without coupons they are expensive). She gets the manager who says that $30 IS half price. Since when is $30 half of $50? Basic arithmetic. I tell them first of all, Im supposed to be charged HALF PRICE- HALF OF WHAT I PAID LAST TIME. The manager says the guy that told me had no idea of how much I paid since I used a coupon, and that their re-tests are $30. First of all, half of 50 is 25, NOT 30, and second of all Im not paying 30 since I was told I would pay half. Long story short, the manager was not accommodating (although he liked to think he was by giving me $5 off of the $30 price, which it should have been to begin with since thats the ACTUAL half price). I didnt want to make to much of a stink, and I know that they dont want to lose money, but they shouldnt be telling paying customers things that arent true. Working as a manager myself, I ALWAYS made sure the customer was happy. Its not about the money, its about the PRINCIPLE. I dont care of its 5 cents for 500 dollars- you should pay what you are promised. Speedee lost two paying customers today thanks to sub-par customer service. We will not be going back there and will be spending our money elsewhere. What a joke. HONOR THE PRICE YOU PROMISE.

Simple oil change done on Friday. 1st ever oil leak noted over weekend. Wife went back on Monday & was told that the plug was faulty (never was mentioned before). Leak again noted on Tuesday/Wednesday. This time I took car back & was greeted by a cheerful "Want an oil change" by the same guy who "fixed" it on Monday. He comes back up from under the car and says the plug was not tightened properly, but if there is another problem, come on back. "Lets hope not. It is obvious that in two trips it wasnt done properly. I really dont want a 4th visit. If I do come back Ill deal with the owner/manager". Manager was doing the windshield and was as uninterested as possible. They left the hood unlatched, but did close the drivers door just before I got in. Amazing customer service!! Worthless group! You are warned to stay as far away as you can

After having a $200 diagnostics, I was told I had a blown gasket. I requested a price and time quote to fix the problem. After a few days, I called and was assured all was going as planned. The next day I showed up to pick up my vehicle and was told my engine was being worked on at another shop. They told me they had no idea what was going on nor could give me a time estimate. I was absolutely not happy with this answer but my vehicle was already in pieces. I told them I wanted some answers before I was going to leave. Eventually, I was told it would cost $700 more then the estimate and take an extra 3 days. So, with car rental, this cost me $1000 more then expected. Will I ever bring my vehicle here? Not even if Im told the work is free. Its obvious they would get that estimate wrong.

First I will say we have never had a problem with the oil change but the problem we have had and our daughter has had is the upselling. I understand why they want to try to sell more but to lie to get those sales is DISHONEST! Today my husband was told we needed new wiper blades we had just put new ones on last week they had only had been used for one storm! The last time we went the said we needed new transmission fluid we did not as it had been changed at the dealer a few weeks earlier. My daughter was told she needed a new serpentine belt. She did not need one! This type of business practice is WRONG! It makes me furious to think of how many people have been taken advantage of because they dont know any better. I will be taking my business else where.

The absolute opposite of "SpeeDee". I arrived at 8am and was the 3rd car to be seen. I was greeted and told my oil change & tire rotation would take 45 minutes. After an hour and forty five minutes I inquired about my vehicle and was told my tire rotation had not been completed and my oil was still being changed. I cancelled the tire rotation because I had an appointment to make. After two and a half hours my car was complete. I was apologized to, but was told it was because they were trying to focus on their failed payroll system. This was a terrible experience as a customer and I will never return.

I have been going to SpeeDee for years to get my oil changed. I have always had excellent customer service. Once when I failed a smog test at another place due to a check engine light, SpeeDee looked up the specs on my car and found out it wasnt an error and that I should have passed. They called the smog place and told them of the error, and then SpeeDee gave me a free smog test. They are always courteous, friendly, and have great prices and often provide coupons for future service. I highly recommend them, and they are my "go to" shop for any of my car needs.

I will never ever go to a Speedee again. I called to make an appointment, was told not to worry about it as long as Im in by 3 i would be in and out within the hour. Drove up at 1 and the attendant acted put out I even showed up. He sayed "you have to leave your car for a while". I decided that if theyre going to lie to me on the phone why would I leave my car somewhere like that. The attendant lost his mind. These people are rude and I will never do business with them again. Youve been warned.

Im really irritated that we brought our vehicle here to get smogged and after we waited for 40 minutes we were told to go elsewhere because they we expecting BAR inspectors and didnt want a older vehicle in their shop during the inspectors visit. What a joke. Ive been going here for years and although they NEVER fill my tires like they are supposed to I let it slide because they are usually friendly and have a good price. Disappointed and wont be going back.
