HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! Last summer, it took them MONTHS to get the lights working in my building. Then, a day and a half ago(Monday 4/17/17) I got a call from Manager: "...we have a huge rodent infestation & need to inspect your unit..." I thought that was appropriate and told them once the rain subsided, Id come down and they could take a look. Then today(Wednesday 4/19/17) I get a voicemail from manager: "...you need to be here and open your unit immediately; we are going to cut off locks..." WTH???!!??? I get over there and sure enough, theyre cutting off some poor guys lock with an angle grinder. WHOA...!!! Umm.. Im not an attorney, but Im pretty sure that a Landlord cannot just go and break-in to a Tenants property like that. I mean REALLY??!!?? I asked what wouldve happened if I was on vacation and could not have gotten down there as quickly -- Their answer: "...our Vice President of the Corporation tells us were ok cutting off locks as we see fit..." WOW... Uggg... Im all in favor of stopping vermin, but with 2 days notice youre going to come on in and cut my lock, break into my space and pretty much run-amok? If StorageMarts C-Level Management wayyyyyy-out in Missouri is giving their local Managers direction to act like this, then we are all doomed by Corporate America. WE ARE NOT SHEEPLE!!! This place was great when it was a LOCAL COMPANY. If you are a Santa Cruz County Local, do yourself a favor and do business with a Local Company--- We Tenants are just dollar signs for a faceless, heartless and soulless Corporation. STAY AWAY FROM STORAGEMART

I just wanted to let the corporation know that i Victor went in today 7/12/2017 to pay my monthly balance on time and i was hit with late charges and fees, knowing that i wouldnt of gotten any late charges because i had called on 7/11/2017 and spoke to customer care service line and they had told me that if i pay my balance on 7/12/2017 that there would not be any late fee charges at all or else i would of payed with my credit card over the phone or would of came in to the office to pay my balance in full. So when i went to pay my balance at the local office i spoke to Megan the manager at that location, Megan was very professional and respectfull and helpfull to me and went above and beyond, she waved half of those charges for me and i thank her for that but im not satisfied with me paying the remaining fees. I ask to speak to a regional manager and i gave the regional manager a call and left a voicemail message and even left a text stating that im a 6 months loyal customer that has 2 big units and i pay close to $1000.00 dollars a month for both of my units and i have never been late to any of my payments. Im very disappointed on how the regional manager never picked up my phone call and i look forward on making sure the CEO finds out about a miss leading information to the customer that has lead to me paying unnecessary fees. I guess i will start looking somewhere else where they will gladly accept my buisness.

Once you get past the friends and family reviews you can see what is really going on with this facility. The manager (Megan) is as bad of a manager as they come. I should have left at the first sign of trouble. When was that!? When Megan took over as a manager. This disrespectful, degrading individual swears she is managing a Manhattan high rise. ITS A STORAGE LOCKER!!! There like pesky Exes. you forget about them until you run into them once in blue moon. These people will air out your business to any one of has a minute to listen, violating privacy policy. At the very least defamation of characters. How I pay my bills is my business not theirs. If you want to charge me a late fee, CHARGE ME! If you want to send me a letter with intent to auction off my belonging, DO IT!! But you have no right to talk about me and the type of person you imagine me to be. You want to hear my Lion roar!! Do I have your attention now!! If not let me have my Monkey in the suit send you a letter with my intentions. Maybe then I will get your attention and you will learn some manner on how to conduct business in the proper manner. Its sad that you may have never really had a position of power, and now you seem to use this position to abuse this responsibility. How sad. Balls in my court! Here it comes right back at you!!

I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with this company. I have been a customer for six years. When StorageMart took over this storage facility (about one year ago), the prices went a little higher, but it was still fine. Suddenly, in May I received a call informing me that something was smelling bad in my storage unit. Yes, RATS! I had to take all my stuff out-furniture, blankets, boxes... EVERYTHING HAD URINE AND RAT DROPPINGS. I couldnt save my sofas (they were semi-new). I had to throw away a lot of stuff. I took pictures, sent a claim to StorageMart and barely, two weeks ago, I received a call only to offer me $250 (my damages are valued over $2,000). The lady who helped me said the infestation began with the previous owner (Store More America). Moreover, they had included in their contract that their insurance would not cover any damages caused by "rodents" (and pretty much, all possible accidents you can imagine-yes, even nuclear war). THIS IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL. If they knew there was a rat infestation, why did they make people sign this contract? Please people, be careful with this company. Read the small letters and know that if something happens to your belongings, THEY WILL NOT COVER ANY DAMAGES! I will fight this until I get a fair refund for all the damages.

From the moment Store Mart took over from Store More America, things got better. Not sure how many of you rented from Store More America, but what a mess (putting it mildly). The front desk staff is professional, courteous and most helpful. The facilities are now truly being taken care of, including recent painting and new security features. With Store More America, a problem started happening in our unit with rodents. With Store Mart, they took care of the problem immediately. The place is now clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend Megan, Rebecca and Ivan for your storage needs in Watsonville.

I went into storagemart not knowing what size or what i needed other than just knowing i needed to store some things. Megan and Rebecca helped me to find a perfect unit. They are personable friendly and really know how to do their job. After working for a differant storage company out of town i can really say im happy with my choice to go into the office and talk with those ladies they were professional and helpful. If you need to store some things give Megan or Rebecca a call they wont dissapoint you!

This is by far the best service I have ever received from a storage facility. Roland goes the extra mile to accommodate your needs. Megan is personable and will work with you. She is prompt to answer all calls and concerns you might have with your bill or other related issues. They work to get you the best deals. Rebecca in front office just replaced Brandon another very helpful employee working to satisfy all your needs and wants. It is a safe and well kept facility. You will have no regrets. .
