I rented the unit for longer than a year. I informed them that a Semi-Truck would periodically pick up pallets from my unit, this was agreed to by the management. And this is what I have been doing for the passed year or so. Last week when the truck came, as usual, one of the managers came out and began yelling at the driver. Today when I was at the unit, She informed me that Semi trucks were not allowed on to the property. As far as I know, the rules havent been changed and the contact says nothing about semi trucks not being allowed on the premises. The manager was very unprofessional. When she first spoke to me, she said that the storage units were not allowed to be used for business purposes. (they clearly are, she even went to look it up and later told me that it was allowed). She was just saying things without even knowing what the policy was, obviously.

I dunno about everyone else but I thought this place was great. I rented a unit here for two years and am only moving out because Im moving out of town. Good price for a great sized unit (not climate controlled which is important to know) and never had any spider problems to speak of. Staff are very business like, but do their jobs adequately. Convenient place to rent U-hauls from also and trucks are always clean.

Like most storage facilities in Davis, South Davis Storage has a serious "black widow" problem in their storage units. Its April and the weather is starting to get warm. I opened my storage unit door and reached for a box. A GIANT black widow almost fell on my arm!! Obviously, theres NOBODY spraying the facility for these dangerous spiders!
