Having been a member here for 9 months now, I regret signing a year contract. I saved some money by signing for 12 months, however I trapped myself into a gym that frankly is not what I was told it would be. I tried to speak with the woman who signed me up about my dissatisfaction but she had been fired. The other sales person could care less about me and was obviously only interested in a new sale that made her commission. Why are gyms like this?! Why unhappy? Filth. Its dirty. I have talked to management and they were nice about it. Did it change things? No. Machines, showers, floors, etc. Filthy. Also the members are older than what Id like to be around. Not anything wrong with that if I was told that the people here are...old... when I joined. Do I enjoy coming here after work? No. Its hard enough to commit to a fitness plan without it being dirty and ancient (again- Im not an ageist but I prefer to be surrounded by people similar in age. Im 33) I will be giving my good byes ( trust me, no one cares here) soon and Im excited to move on. Can I recommend it? No. At over $100 monthly I expect better.

I love this place. They take great care of the facility, its a very positive environment (in common areas at least, not so much in the locker room which is mostly comprised of older naked men complaining about politics, no matter what time of day it is), and Ive been a member off and on since 2009. Unfortunately, they dont value loyalty, or common sense. I took a job in Phoenix, and asked if I could get out of the last 4 months of my one year contract, provided the offer letter, and fully explained my situation. They wouldnt let me out of it whatsoever, even though I no longer live in Denver, cant use the club, and when I complained, one of the responses suggested that I "ask my new company to pay the balance." Disgusting way to treat people. If and when we move back, we wont be returning to CCAC. Unreal that they are this awful about $500 and would rather me write a review on here than to take care of someone with a legitimate reason to terminate my contract early. Shame on CCAC.

I was a member at CCAC for 4 years but things have changed and so I cancelled. This used to be a great club for professionals who did not want to deal with children or 20-somethings working out their egos. Now there are kids running rampant in the pools, screaming and yelling, jumping into lanes while you are trying to get some laps in. Herds of So-called Cross-fitter’s throwing weights around and being generally belligerent and destroying the equipment. The facilities were in good shape and well equipped but with the new membership that is a thing of the past. As a fitness swimmer I loved the number of pools available but the spoiled brats have just ruined it. Speaking with the management is a wate of time their eyes are on the quick cash not on maintaining a professional adult environment. This is an expensive club and at one time EXCLUSIVE so that there was an alternative to the meat market that is 24hr fitness, but no longer.

Called because I wanted to use their shower/facilities because my apartment complex was out of hot water. I was willing to pay to walk in and use their services, and might have even considered buying a gym membership from them while I was there if they impressed me, but I wanted to know how much money to bring. Was informed that I had to be with a member to walk in, even if I paid, and that guest membership was $20. So even if I was willing to pay $20 for a shower--a pretty expensive shower I must say--I would have been turned away as I do not know any members here. What an awful policy, awful customer service, and a terrible business model! I know I and my husband were considering buying a gym membership if we found somewhere we liked, but with this kind of customer service, never here! Dont know how this place has any business with that attitude.

The gym is huge and the value in exchange for monthly membership is fair. Yoga, hot yoga, and many other group exercise classes are offered 7 days a week and are included with membership. I love the heated outdoor lap pool and hot tub which are open YEAR ROUND. The facilities and machines are clean, and I never have trouble with overcrowding in the floor area or on cardio machines. Yoga and hot yoga classes can fill up, but as long as you arrive early you wont have trouble finding a space. The womens locker room is sometimes a bit crowded, but it is clean and comfortable and has its own hot tub, steam room and sauna. After switching to CCAC from 24-hour (a great decision), the only thing I would change is keeping the club open a bit later weekends (Saturday and Sunday the gym closes at 7:30).

The club itself is nice and has a ton of amenities; however, the way they treat their members is appalling! There is ZERO customer service at this club when it comes to the business office or membership! (Shout out to the great instructors who I will actually miss)! If you havent been a member for 100 years they treat you like you dont matter whatsoever. My experience was disgraceful and if the management of this club cared at all about the reputation they are building they would find a way to do the right things instead of the things that continue to fill their pockets. I like the club and what it has to offer, but out of principle, we will never belong here again! Spend your money elsewhere, where you are wanted and appreciated!

I joined the CCAC for the daycare program and decided to sign up for a free Pilates session with Carolyn. She has absolutely changed my life. I am an engineer and have been working at a desk for 12 years. I also have two kids under 5. Between the desk work and having the kids I developed hip bursitis and a winged scapula. Ive seen 2 physical therapists, orthopedic, chiropractor, and masseuse. Carolyn has made the most impact on improving my body dynamics than all of them combined. She watched me walk on our first session and she knew what muscles were too weak and which ones needed stretching out. I feel better than ever working with her for almost 3 months. IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE GYM, PLEASE MEET CAROLYN IN PILATES!

Ive been a member here for 2 years and it is hands down the best club I have ever belonged to. They have everything you need. The lockers rooms are clean and classy. The staff is friendly and helpful when ever you need them. Indoor and outdoor pool years round! The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that I play a lot of racquet ball and Im sad to see that two of the courts are being turned into a hot yoga studio (which i think is a fad). Lastly, they have raised prices every year that Ive been here, which is not a good trend. Denver Athletic club doesnt compare.

I want to commend the staff at Cherry Creek Athletic Club --- I had a problem and they went way out of their way to correct things. Subsequently, I renewed my membership and am happily achieving my fitness goals. The club is clean, spacious, well maintained and a lot of the aerobics equipment have individual TVs with dozens of channels, so entertaining yourself (while subsequently maximizing and stretching your time on the machines) is an easy task. I believe in good communication and try to practice it -- and I appreciate the whole setup at CCAC greatly!
