Trouble in Paradise I was on my way to visit my girlfriend in Telluride in my 97 528i with 145k miles when all the sudden it went into fail safe mode after traveling at 80mph (electronic transmission control module light and DSC light illuminated). This was at 4am on a Sunday near Goodland KS, which is practically the middle of nowhere. I could have had it towed home to Wichita and paid the difference between there and Denver, but low and behold it started running normal again, until I hit Denver. I am a good historian and could recall it happening a few times before on bumps, and told them my previous do-it-yourself repairs, which may have helped; however, they noticed on their own I had been working on the fuses under the dash, which was left disassembled at the time. Turns out my car had a loose number 4 fuse, which is actually under the hood (I had been in their too recently), and 115$ later on the return home I drove it no problems. It has been a few months since then and it runs like a champ. They also diagnosed other repair work that may need attention soon, such as the intake gasket they tested with their smoke tester (yes, "this is a legitimate $600 tool"), and some oil seal which I have saved in the detailed report they sent to my gmail, which includes part numbers. Love these guys!

I found Dart Auto several years ago while looking to have some work done on my Porsche. After visiting several independent shops that specialize in European cars as well as having some work performed at a Porsche dealership – I tried out Dart and Im glad I did. My experience with Dart: Dart was performing some work on my car that required removal of the transmission. Before the work was performed they went over everything with me, because the transmission was being removed and the cars mileage (generally a common mileage for a clutch replacement) - they asked if I wanted to have the clutch replaced while they had everything apart because there wouldnt be any additional labor. (What I knew at the time but didnt tell them was the clutch had been replaced less than a few thousand miles earlier). I told them to let me know what they found and would recommend after everything was apart. The next day I received a call from Dart – they told me the clutch was in really great shape and didnt need to be replaced, and they wouldnt recommend it. It was a very pleasant surprise and the finished work was outstanding. I have Dart work on my Porsche several times since – My experience with the people at Dart was fantastic. I would recommend Dart to anyone.

When you find something good, never let it go unsaid. Ive made DART my service provider of choice after the hassle of dealing with folks who neither understand or really care about my car (2004 Porsche Cayenne S). Shortly after I took possession of the keys to this beauty, I found about the potentially devastating repair bill staring me in the face with a non retrofitted cooling pipe system. Searching the web for help landed me at Darts site; lo and behold, they had a complete photo breakdown of this exact repair they had recently done. Got them on the phone immediately and scheduled the repair. It involved a 550 mile drive from where I live but even with overnight hotel stay, meals and fuel; I saved over $3,000 dollars over anyone local and got a warranty double (in terms of months and miles) from anyone else as well. This made a solid and positive impression on me and has resulted in bringing back the Cayenne for strut replacement and a few other items as well. DART gets my strongest and highest recommendation in terms of excellence in repair, customer service and pricing. No nasty surprises; solid work, reasonable costs, and understanding how your car is not just another job.

I recently bought a used Audi A4 and needed to find an independent german repair shop. After checking out reviews on the internet, I discovered DART Auto and decided to give them a try. This turned out to be a great decision! I noticed that my car was shaking a bit when I braked at high speeds so I brought it into DART. The owner Dave was very forthright and told me what needed to be done as well as what he recommended to be done in the near future. DART replaced my brakes and rotors and fixed a leak to get me going. I was so satisfied with the job that they did that I brought the car back in a month later for more preventative maintenance. When I got the car back, it drove great but I noticed an awful sound coming from the front end at low speeds. I called DART back and Dave told me to bring the car back in so they could take a look. It turned out to be a loose bolt, so they tightened it up and had me on my way. DART Auto provided a loaner car each time, their prices were fair and they did the maintenance in one day. I will never go to a dealership again now that I have found DART Auto. I highly recommend this repair shop to anyone who has a german car!

- I have way too many German cars, I drive them hard and I love them too, hence they need repair i.e. rotors and clutch, brake bleeds, minor repair, regular service and others. -After doing plenty of research I choose to take my Porsche C4S and Cayenne S to Dave and to Gunther for maintenance. I had my cars at the dealership and they gave me estimates off the roof, so decided against Prestige motors and other local P car mechanics who I called for estimates. Finally took my Porsches to Dave, he did great work, before close of business day got my car back, and pricing was amazing too. saved appox. 2K... Why would I not recommend any one to Dart? Wish I knew them 3 years ago..... - Also provided creative solutions while others told me I had to get new parts and wanted to charge hefty labor rate. - This gave me a comfort level, they have earned my trust and respect so I feel confident what they tell me. - Will be taking my MB SL500 to them this spring for some minor maintenance as well. - Recommended other to his show as well. Cons: The location is not ideal... Recommendations: Please provide drop off service with in 5 miles! Thanks, AM

Highly Recommended- I have been taking my vehicles (Porsche & VW) to DART auto for several years. The level of service is always consistently good and the prices are very fair. As owners of German cars are well aware, there is always "care and feeding" costs associated with these vehicles. Having said that, Dave is always very fair and clear on his assessment of impending and future repairs. As a female customer, I really appreciate his patience and willingness to explain my cars needs. If a repair isnt immediately needed, he is very clear in explaining the time frame in which it should be taken care of in order to avoid any issues. When the problem needs to be fixed sooner rather than later, he clearly explains why. The folks at DART are down-to-earth and very easy to work with. There are loaner cars available (not always the case with independent shops....or even dealers) and shuttle service can be arranged, too. I get much better service here than I ever did with the dealers and feel that I can trust any recommendations that are suggested. I highly recommend this shop!
