About a year ago my car was making a clicking noise when i stepped on the breaks..so i brought it in and reynald looked at it and then began to tell me that i needed a whole new front break system and that if i drove my car out of the parking lot it could catch on fire at anytime from the breaks rubbing...he told me that it would cost over $500.00 to fix and i told him i didnt have it and i would have somebody else look at it and i did and it was 1 loose bolt that was making the noise and just needed to be tightened and my problem was solved, they could have easily done it for me there but no...so today after seeing their advertisement for a cheap oil change i decided id give it one more shot(bad idea) and of course when i walked in it was the same guy...i tried to tell him what he did last time and of course he said it wasnt him who did that...after about five minutes he comes out and tells me that my car is leaking oil really bad and that he could fix it for $300.00 rite then and there and i wouldnt find anywhere else that would do it cheaper...and i said no thanks ill have somebody else look at it and he tells me "ok just dont say that meineke told you this, just see what they have to say first"So i leave there, drive about 15 miles and my car stalls and wont start up again.I should have never went back there...dont bother wasting your time going there because all you will end up doing is wasting you money! Reynald is a crook and will make you think either something is wrong and there isnt or he will make something wrong with your car!

Im a woman and Raynald made a great first impression. He put on the charm and was very friendly. We recently had our oil changed there and fluids topped off but then our "check engine coolant" light went on. He told me I had major problems with my car and it would require >$650 worth of repairs. He told me all the hoses were shot and my car was very, very hot and overheating. I called my husband and after talking we realized it didnt make sense. My car had not been overheating. I didnt even drive it far. Theres no way it could be hot. He looked up this place on the internet and read all the poor reviews. Our decision was to take our car else where for service. Raynald made me wait and wait for hours for my car. He said I would damage the car by driving it. He would get me a ride home. That I should have it towed. I ended up going in the back of the garage and standing by the tech as he put my car engine back together. Why did he take it all apart? The car was much worse off when I picked it up than when I drove it in. As it turns out, we found that they took a rubber spark plug cap, cut it and clamped it onto the coolant hose. And there was a crack in the spark plug cap and the coolant was spraying out of it. The must have broke the original part and replaced it with the spark plug cap. We always had our car serviced at jaguar dealerships and they would never have done such shotty work.

If I could rate this place with 0 stars I would! Beware of this place... Many of us try to find places to save a few dollars but after having my car "repaired" at this location, I learned a valuable lesson that cost me a lot more. I purchased new tires at the location in Middletown. After leaving the shop, my car shook really bad. I brought the car back and they refused to acknowledged the fact that even though I purchased new tires, they put used tires on my car. The guy there stated that there might be other things wrong with my car which is why it shakes (even though it didnt before it was left there). I had an alignment done which still didnt help and they wanted to do more work on my car. The workers there put my life in danger along with my five year old daughters life. We got into an accident a week later because of how worn down the tires were that they put on. I decided that I will not go back to that place ever and took my car to Modern Tire. The guys there saw what the issue was right away and pointed out to me how worn down the tires that Meineke put on my car were. I was angry and shocked. I replaced the tires at Modern Tire and guess what, the shacking was gone.... Stay away from that place. There are other honest places out there. Meineke in Middletown is a scam.

I walked into meinke on Washington st in Middletown and was greeted immediately by the service manager place was clean and comfortable and asked for a oil change, price was reasonable considering as the amount of work that was included. after about 15 min the manager came out and told me I needed brakes and took me back and showed me, now I had just replaced them at the dealer about a year and a half ago so I was a little confused as to why and he explained in detail to me and my husband that with wear and braking habits they can get used up quickly and the quality of pads make a difference. so he quoted about 300 for front brakes and offered me a lifetime guarantee and I was in shock because the last shop wouldnt do that for me as I had called them to see what kind of warrantee I had, he was informative and generous and they got me in quick and I even got to meet the mechanic working on my car, I was in an out with a brake job and oil change in literally an hour and a half and they did very exceptional work, I didnt realize until I drove home the difference in feel of my car until they fixed a problem I didnt even know that was there, I highly recommend them and have now found a shop that is honest quick and thorough. I will be going back

So I had had bad experiences with other meinekes but this place was convenient so I have been getting my oil changed here for the past 2.5 years. Up until this point service was pretty good, still the usual crummy price on synthetic but Ill pay a few extra dollars for the privilege of not having to crawl under my car in winter. Now its a different story. Last time I get my oil changed they tell me I need to get my front break pads changed (and some back break cleaning service?) because "they are at 30% and you should get them changed under 50%" I must look so much like a college kid that they think I dont know about break pad wear indicators. I have another 9-12 months in those pads. And really I understand doing slight premature changes but after only 50%? So by this point I was pretty annoyed and declined the service but heres the kicker on the declined service paper they gave me later, they listed changes of all four rotors. That costs like 4 times more than just doing the front pads and they didnt tell me they were going to change them? So glad I didnt end up spending an extra 300
