I will NEVER trust this company with my car again. The mechanic and owner, Dimitri, did some work in the dash that was causing my car to have trouble starting, specifically the ignition switch- I paid nearly $600. The work was sloppy and the problem continued intermittently.

Recently, the vehicle wouldn't start and after taking the car back to Affordable Automotive, Dimitri told me that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle and told me to pick it up. Of course, he charged me $95 for a diagnostic fee. Less than 4 days later I had the same starting issue, which he told me was a fuel pump problem- for this, he wanted me to pay $822 +tax. Partially because the cost for the work was too high, and also because I wasn't sure how much this man really knew what he was talking about. I decided to take my car to another shop- not before having a heated discussion about why I did not plan on paying him another $95 diagnostic fee.

At the new shop, I was told that my issue was with the main relay and the ignition switch- NOT THE FUEL PUMP. I already had the ignition switch done a few months back- turns out Dimitri installed a used, probably junk yard part (of course he charged me for a brand new, supposedly original part). The used part is probably a part of the reason that my problem continued. I'm mostly angry, because Im now getting that ignition switch problem fixed AND the main relay for less than $400 right down the road from Affordable Automotive.

Dimitri is a RIP-OFF artist, and deserves to be put out of business.

I have used Affordable Automotive for many years to maintain our two vehicles. My parents and sister also have their vehicles maintained by Affordable. I find them to be both personal and professional. The one thing you want from any mechanic is honesty. Over the years, I have brought vehicles in for one reason or another and they have come back without repairs because what I thought was a problem wasnt. I have even switched to Affordable for routine maintenance like oil changes because I feel like they are doing a better job at keeping an eye on my vehicles. Every time we went to a large chain oil change shop we would get a list of other things we "needed right now". Dimitri will say things like, "your brake pads will probably need to be address at your next oil change". I would highly recommend them.

Always honest, always dependable, theyve never added extra items that need attention like other places do, unless its something that really does need attention. Weve had some strange problems with cars, and Dimitri has always figured out what it was. As for affordable, well...car repairs and maintenance arent cheap, no matter where you go. Dimitri is, nevertheless, more reasonably priced than any other repair shop Ive ever been to. Ill keep going back there, as will my family. Rick Z.

Sue N in New Milford - Excellent, Great Service, Quality Work and very Affordable and most importantlyHONEST. Dimitri Koulouris is a mechanic you can trust and I wouldnt trust my car to anyone else. Speaking as a woman I have dealt with sleazy mechanics who just try to take advantage Dimitri would never do that. I give this business the highest rating as I am an extremely satisfied customer.

Gets it fixed and it stays fixed! Fixed my speedometer when another shop said it absolutely could not be fixed because parts werent available. Prices are reasonable and owners are friendly and honest. I now bring all my vehicles to Affordable Automotive!

You cant help feeling comfortable when you walk in to their office and see Roses smiling face. They are thorough in their diagnostic of my car. Go the mile to see that my car is safe. I highly recommend them as an honest and trusted auto repair company.
