I paid for my urgent package to be sent 2-day Priority. It went out on Tuesday afternoon from my home post office in PA. It was scheduled to be delivered early Thursday afternoon. On Thursday, the tracking said that my package was out for delivery. When I returned to my hotel later in the day, the package still hadnt been delivered. By 11pm, the tracking message said the delivery hadnt been updated. It is now Saturday morning and that is the same message. When I called this post office on Friday, I spent most of my day trying to track my package instead of being at the conference I came to DC to attend. I was put on hold numerous times for longer than 5 minutes. When I finally spoke to someone, he curtly told me my package would be delivered that day. When I went back to my hotels shipping office for the fifth time that day, around closing time (4:30), the postal service still hadnt been there. Flash forward to about 9pm on Friday, when I returned from getting dinner, the front desk and security of my hotel said that the postal service hadnt even delivered that day. They also searched multiple places for my package, just in case. Im leaving D.C. in a few hours and I live four hours away. The fact that I might leave this city without my urgent package is unacceptable. It is also extremely unacceptable that my tracking status hasnt been updated since Thursday at 9am. I have know idea if my package is still in D.C. or if, by some miracle, it has been returned to sender. I know that post offices get busy, but there is no excuse for the lack of professionalism and irresponsibility that I (and many other customers, based on the negative reviews) have received.

Terrible. Horrible experience: For the past week I have been visiting this post office trying to find out what happened to an insured package of mine. They attempted to deliver on June 17 and left a pink notice to retrieve the package at the post office as I needed to be there to sign for it. When I went this week to pick it up they were unable to find it. The first day I went I waited for 1.5 hours AFTER speaking to the gentlemen at the front desk to find out they had forgotten I was there and the personnel were not actively looking for my package so I was waiting there for nothing. They took my name and number and said they would call me back. The next day I went again to have them look for it and this time I waited two hours after putting in my request in person that they check again/ The woman at the front told me that again they were busy and had forgotten I was there so for two hours no one was looking for my package even though I made the effort to come in person!! They wasted my time and still are unable to find out what happened to my insured package. Terrible service I am very frustrated that no one can even locate where my package is and that they seem to forget about their customers who make the effort to come out in person to work things out !

I just had to write after the most surprisingly pleasant experience with Linda Hudson-Todd at this post office. We were supposed to receive four packages yesterday, and the tracking information said all packages were delivered at 7:42pm. When we checked, some of our neighbors were also missing packages and also had tracking information saying they were delivered at 7:42pm. I spent a couple of hours trying to speak to someone at USPS, to no avail. I called this post office this morning, and spoke to Linda Hudson-Todd. She was extremely patient, took the information down, looked up the tracking number, contacted the delivery man, and let me know that the delivery truck broke down yesterday, the delivery man hit the wrong button that indicated the packages were delivered, and that the packages should be enroute today. Thumbs up for outstanding employees at the USPS!

Worst experience! Dont expect help from supposed manager A FIELDS. He is horrible doesnt address complaints. I was sending a package with a return label and I asked if he could tape the bag since my taping is not always secure. He looked at the label then said oh for this label its a courtesy for me to put tape and I dont have much. Are you kidding me its a post office you cant get another tape. Then I bought a tape and he still wouldnt do it. So I did it then told him this is extremely unprofessional. He didnt even want to hear it, ignored me and since its USPS cant Even complain.

I called to inquire about the delivery status of my extremely urgent package. The online tracker showed it was inside the facility as of 5 am. I started calling the minute the facility opened, for the first hour the phone was busy. When I managed to get through, I was placed on on hold for AN HOUR AND A HALF. In the meantime the package status changed to "sorted" and later to "out for delivery". When they picked up an hour and a half later, the mail person was indeed out for delivery, but did not get to my building until later in the afternoon.

This is a really bad PO. They often deliver the wrong mail to my PO Box and make me wait in line to give it back to them. Once I just left it at an unattended counter and was literally yelled at by an employee who saw me, like I was a child. The staff move like theyre in slow motion; I initially thought this was a hidden camera show to get peoples reaction. I have to use this PO address for business purposes, but I always stop at another PO on the way home if I have something to mail.

I liked the cards, gift cards, and efficiency of the staff. I often go on Sarurdays when lines are long and yet move steadily. The counter persons are polite and efficient. They are knowledgable about the costs even when customers argue about different issues. Sometimes I wonder how they keep calm since we are all in a rush. Public service gets a bad rap and one is expected to grin after being talked to disrespectfully. There is an old saying, "Walk a mile in my shoes."

I called to to simply track a package and was greeted with a five minute wait to answer the phone then a 30min wait for nothing then called back and was put on hold for 10mins after telling them i was on hold for a half hour. This place is awful. The people are awful and very obviously hate their jobs and more then likely their lives considering how rude they were the three times they answered. I hope they a get fired and replaced by robots. Never call. Use UPS

Of all my experience with any customer service, Ive never seen service as poor as this. All the employees here are extremely rude, disrespectful, and inept at their job. They consistently hang up or put you on hold for over five minutes to avoid simple requests like tracking a package or providing basic shipping information. Frankly, its disgusting that these people receive a paycheck for this level of "work".

Indifferent to clients needs. Clock watchers. Constantly change delivery people. Some great, some poor. Mail not delievered, for lame reasons when neighborhood easily accessible. Poor attitude to mission. Interior personnel are robotic and rarely give an understanding that part of their job is to assist customer. Friendship station has been understaffed for years fostering an I dont care culture.
