My experience with Discounted Moving was ideal. When I first started looking around for quotes, it was terrible - I am a single mom and I only really needed help moving the larger pieces of furniture that I cannot move alone (bed/coffee table/washer/dryer/etc). I was only moving 8 miles away, and was getting quotes for these few items at $350+ from Nice Guy Movers and Two Men and a Truck. I was also told by NGM that they did not believe the 2 hours they quoted me would given them enough time (plus the hour in drive time I would have to pay). I then found Discounted Moving, through my sister who referred them and I was quoted off the bat lower than either of the quotes from before. The customer service I received on the phone was amazing - the scheduling was easy - and I was made to feel very at ease about the whole move. The morning of the move, prior to arrival, I received a call from NGM and they wanted to check on my move, and see if I found someone (how nice!). And I told them that I was lucky enough to find a company that was able to work with me within my budget and thanked him. He then kept me on the phone and the tone went from pleasant to interrogatory immediately - he wanted to know who quoted me lower, if they were insured, where they were located, what their hourly rate was, and find out if I am ok using a company that isnt an A-rated BBB company like them, then "have a nice day"...it was one of the oddest, and most rude encounters I have ever experienced. It went from nice to scary in about 4 minutes :/ *Day of the move - the guys were there on time, and were extremely nice, friendly people. I was asked a few questions to get them started and then off they went to load the items. They had everything loaded, moved, and unloaded within 1.5 hours...which made me chuckle inside at the lack of confidence in the other companies to get this done within 2 hours. I had the pleasure of having Wes and Lawrence help me move - and these are two super cool nice people who are hardworking and honest individuals. They are looking to gain business through this hard work and good business practices, not through nickel and diming people to death - all I know is that next time I move, they are my first and only call. That is the faith I have in this company - the experience with this move was less stressful than the last two times I moved using an alternative company. Thank you guys for your great attitude and customer service; your hard work was noticed and I would not be ok with myself if I did not make a review online for you all! Have a blessed day!!

I had no problem at all with the company until we saw everything that was messed up. I first contacted the owner when my wife was at home with the movers and it was already three hours into the move. I was concerned that it was taking that long to load a one bedroom apartment. Yes, three hours and the truck hadnt even been fully loaded yet. Ive moved several times in my life so I know how long it takes to move furniture. The owner assured me "they are taking that long because they dont want anything messed up." Thats totally understandable and I felt much better paying what was talked about because I wanted it done correctly. Well, it was NOT DONE CORRECTLY as you can see in the pictures. I have NOTHING whatsoever to gain from this post other than to inform that whoever uses this company needs to be with them the ENTIRE time making sure your furniture is safe and not destroyed. I sent pictures of the rip in the couch to the owner and he graciously discounted the rate and said they would repair it and I was totally satisfied with that outcome until the rest of the furniture was unloaded. All our money was refunded of course and the owner was very good about communication but I wasnt paying for communication. I was paying for my almost $8,000 worth of furniture that was damaged to be moved PROPERLY and without the issues that you can clearly see in the pictures. One thing that Ive learned in being in sales for over 15 years is that when someone talks so good about something that it seems to good to be true it usually is and that was the case here. The two gentlemen that moved the furniture were EXTREMELY well mannered and polite but they damaged almost every single piece of large furniture that we had. The owner kept ranting about how "good his employees were and how long theyve been with the company" only to find out one of the movers had only been with them a short time as he told us. Let me say again, the movers were very polite and I had no issues with them at all other than what you see in the pictures. Please be aware of WHO and WHICH company moves your furniture regardless of the good reviews and excellent price that is advertised. For some reason it wont allow me to post the other pictures of the damage but I was able to upload them to the companys page on Facebook.

We contacted Wesley to move us from a second floor apartment to our new home in the same city. The apartment was a temporary place for us just staying there until our new house was ready. We used Wesley and his company because of the great job they did moving us into the apartment. We had another company in Atlanta load the truck when we came to Florida and when we opened the truck to move in, we found numerous broken items and gouges in a lot of the new furniture. Wesley and his team moved us in with no damage and I was very impressed. We had a lot of big, heavy furniture having had a big house before, so it was a difficult move upstairs and in tight quarters. They assembled the bed, disposed of the broken items, and helped in so many ways, we decided right then we would use them for our next move. They shrink wrapped everything, they helped disassemble the beds, and they helped take some unwanted or broken items to the dumpster. I heard Wesley tell his crew more than once to take care of the furniture and treat as if were their own. When we got to the new house, they unloaded and set everything up exactly where we wanted it, reassembled the beds and removed the shrink wrap. We had an old mattress set and two other large items we did not want and did not know how to get rid of them and they offered to take them and dispose of them. We did not have one broken or damaged item. They were very careful not to damage walls and doors. Another perfect move. What I found really refreshing was their attitude. They were very helpful, always willing to do whatever we asked cheerfully, and said they would not leave until we were completely satisfied. I hope to not move again for a long time, but if I do, I will use Discounted Movers and I would recommend them to anyone. Wesley is a good man and will treat you right.

I just got off the phone with them and setup my second move within 1.5 years (we move a lot). The first time the move was coordinated, setup and completed flawlessly. Guys showed up on time and were polite and resourceful! The rates are EXTREMELY REASONABLE!!!!! I just had another baby and need to move to a bigger home. The only people I could think of doing the job is Discounted Moving. Owner calls me within an hour of leaving a message. Sets up my appointment, and once again the customer service is excellent, courteous and pleasant. The last thing I want to worry about is stressing during moving while dealing with a new born. I will use these guys again in the future if I ever move and I look forward to another flawless move! I recommend these guys without a doubt!
