I have a 2002 Ford Explorer and it recently started giving me problems. My car never gave me problems before so i decided not to chance it. I usually go to Pep Boys up North but i came to South Florida for vacation around the same time my car was starting to give problems. I did a quick search to see if there was any Pep Boys close by and sure enough there was the sunrise location not too far away. I came in and was instantly greeted by the staff. Very welcoming place. I was sort of confused as to who to talk to so i kind of walked around a bit. I was then greeted by Salvador as i was walking up and down the aisles. He seemed pretty busy attending to other customers needs but somehow still managed to assist me. He told me that he was a service associate and assured me that whatever the problem was, he would help me find a solution. He lead me to the service area and began updating customers about their vehicles and just had everyone satisfied. He told me that he would be right back to assist me. In the mean time i made polite small talk with another customer and associate i believe named Giovanni. He was telling me that Sal was very helpful and would help me get the job done whatever the problem may be. When Sal returned, we discussed what was going on with the car, and suggested i have an evaluation done to find out the problem. I was written up in a matter of minutes and my car was taken in faster than i expected. I believe I waited about 20 minutes tops and Sal came back telling me that a simple tune up was needed and that was the cause to my vehicle running rough. He also gave me recommendations for future things that i should take care of. I also trusted him because he informed me he was quite familiar because he too has a 2002 Ford. He was very helpful as to getting the job done at a fair price and as quick as possible. I would refer everyone to this location whatever your needs may be. Whether it be picking up parts yourself, or getting your vehicle serviced, youll be making the right choice. Special thanks to Salvador, Giovanni, and Aldo for making my experience the best!

I was so pleased today with the great customer care given from the Pep Boy Team: -Rick, the sales person, attention to details was fantastic; he listened to all my requests, repeated them to make sure he understood what was being requested and also gave helpful suggestions too. His communication was throughout the work and to completion. He was also was very patient and professional. A plus for serving with excellence! -Craig, the mechanic, worked an extra long shift today and was still able to service my vehicle with great care; he found things that were of concern to him, above and beyond what I requested. He found all (4) tires had dry rot and my battery was bulging and leaking! A Plus for preventing an accident and even saving lives on the road! Mario, a fellow mechanic, saw that Craig needed help, so he stepped up to assist Craig with the additional work added and needed to my automobile. A Plus for the great team work! -Evening manager also was very helpful to make sure my bill was not only accurately charged, but he also made sure I was given additional discount. This is a amazing team of men working together to service our community with excellence! Many thanks and blessings to the team of men at the Pompano Beach Pep Boys! :)

DO NOT go to this pep boys. I had great experiences in most other pep Boys but this one is managed extremely poorly. I came into contact with the manager that assured me that they would find out why my car wouldnt start and by the next day. I didnt receive an answer in 2 days and I had to rent a car in the meantime. They werent even courteous enough to call me. Then they called on the 4th day, after they kept me on hold for 20 minutes, didnt answer my messages. Then they didnt apologize for the time delay and estimated that it was either the electrical fuse or something else. They wanted to charge me for both AND for the time they had spent looking at my car even if I didnt take their service! They held my car until I paid over 350$ and I paid it just to get my car back, despite arguing with the manager, Manny. I had to take them to small claims court (time and money) before I got my money back from a declaration by the judge of their "intentional and malicious theft". Do not go there unless you want your car to be held ransom.

All I needed was one wiper blade for the drivers side of my SUV - popped in there on my way home (normally I go to auto zone, which is so much closer to my home) - and I was lucky enough to be helped by someone called Ashley - she was SO helpful - helped me find which size blade to buy (yes, I know, thats not really a big deal) - but she did it in such an upbeat way - and then offered to put it onto my car. Im hopeless with this sort of thing - so I accepted her help gratefully - and then she saw my old wiper blade that had some kind of splash guard on it - instead of just throwing the whole thing away, she offered to swap it over - took it back inside, found some special tools to swap over the splash guard to my new wiper - and then installed the new blade onto my car - just SO helpful and so eager to help - from now on, whenever I need anything for my car, even though its quite a drive, thats where I"m going to go. Thank you Ashley!!!! What wonderful service!

Yesterday I came in to get my tires fixed, (last week I got all 4 new tires) when i drive it shakes, they proceed to tell me, they are very busy and i can make a appointment to come back, if i want it faster. . So I agree. . I am a UBER driver so time is money. . Today i arrive for my appointment once i finally get to the desk, (because they are busy) Im told i will be next. And it will be done in a hour.. i leave and come back in a hour to see my car sitting right where i parked it.. to be told NOPE they have not even started.. this is BULLSHIT i expected it to be done now. . In fact i should never had to come back if they did the job right the 1st time. . You pay 700 for tires with the warranty. You EXPECT a cretin level of customer service and expertise, whats the point of a appointment if you as a business cant uphold the standard and guarantee the appointment time

They are liars, cheaters, notorious for misdiagnosing problems and will try to point out a million other things for you to spend more money on. I recently went there because my steering wheel and dash are shaking violently after hitting a curb.They did a steering/suspension test, and their diagnosis: two bad motor mounts. They were going to charge me $900, so I took it to my mechanic who charged me $200. Needless to say that did not cure the problem. After another place said the motor mounts are now fine, they suggested I complain to Pep Boys. When I went back to Pep Boys, they said another one is bad and want $400 to fix it. I just left. Oh yeah, then told me my rear suspension is loose, but told me a few days earlier that it was fine. BEWARE OF THESE LOWLIFES!!!!!!!!
