I went to Pep Boys to get new tires and an alignment done. No big deal, right? WRONG!! They cleaned my battery which cause my computer to reset itself, no problem? BIG problem!!! I watched my car get worked on the whole time except for maybe 20 minutes. I came back after eating lunch to pick up my car and I get it and turn it on, well it "coincidentally" cuts off. I drive it through the parking lot thinking maybe this will fix it. So I stopped to turn out and my car stalls again. Well, I take back to the service tech and ask him what is going on. He said he didnt know. The service manager comes out to tell me that I need a diagnostic done. I told him that this problem did not happen before I brought my car in and that they had caused this to happen. He told me that it didnt have anything to do with the battery being cleaned and that he could remove my battery and would be able to start my car!! Thats right the SERVICE MANAGER said I COULD START MY CAR WITHOUT A BATTERY!! After going through the chain of command they decided they would fix my car for FREE, AWESOME!!! NOT....... When I finally got my car back the alignment that I paid $$$ for was not done correctly!! I came home had the car looked over by my family to only find a disconnected intake hose and rag under my air filter, which is a FIRE HAZARD!!! I complained to my family and they decided to take over. I received my money back from the alignment because my family refused to let them continue to touch my car, but I as of today I am banned from this local Pep Boys!! I never had any problems with this place. I dont like to take my car places where I do not know some portion of the staff because I do not want to be taken advantage of. I knew alot of the guys that worked there and I thought that I was going to be treated fairly and that the work done could be counted on, BUT I was wrong. I would NOT recommend this Pep Boys to anyone.

WORST EXPERIENCE. Ordered new tires online and set my appointment for 10am the next day. So I go to my appointment they said it would be an hour. So I walk to chick-fil-a and stay they for 45 min and walk back. I get back and my car is still in the same spot I left it. So I go inside and see whats going on. The woman, Jen tells me that they only had two of my tires in and the other two would be delivered at 2:30. All I could think is WOW, why wouldnt you call me and tell me this? You wrote down my number for a reason. Anyways I come back at around 3pm and told them I had to be at work at 4pm. At about 3:50pm I ask how much longer. A man told me they only had one more tire to put on. I walk to the window and look at my car there was NOT one tire put on my car! NOT ONE! At 4pm I ask how much longer and the woman, Jen said they were pulling it around now so I walk outside with my receipt and wait there for almost 10 minutes. Walk back inside to ask what is going on. and the man said it will be only a minute. So I told him I was supposed to be at work 8 minutes ago. So they brought out my car right then. They werent wiped off or anything. so anyways my point is that the people at pep boys were inconsiderate of MY time and LIED to my face! NEVER going back. Biggest waste of $487.15. I should of spent it else where, were people are more considerate. I would rather spend more money somewhere else to get better service!

Their service is absolutely horrible, I bust my ass everyday for a new car for my wife, she took the car here to have the brakes serviced under our warranty, five hours later once the rotors were resurfaced we are still having the same issue intermittently. So she brought the car back the following business day after the weekend in Tampa due to hurricane Matthew and all shes told is they greased something and made some adjustments, she wasnt handed no paper work of the so called repair and the manager told her the guy in the service department had to suddenly take off and the problem still exist. Now today we brought our new vehicle in again for our 1 o clock appointment, and again more adjustments were made, I guess the manager Greg himself drove our vehicle and some way, some how didnt hear no brakes squealing even though every day I drive this vehicle from work I hear the same damn noise. So once again after spending 7 or more hours in this mechanically challenged untrained facility in the past three days this problem still exist. Never take your car here for any repairs because they obviously dont know what the hell their doing, I will be making a complaint to their corporate office and letting everyone I know far and wide to never get anything from these people.

I came in for new tires and an alignment check. They had a special going on for buy three get one free on select tires. It was the best price I could find by around $100. The associate that helped me gave me a time frame of around one hour. My tires were done in about 50 minutes. They checked my alignment (for free) and came out to show me the results and discuss my options. Other places had tried to charge me about $300 for an alignment because of some piece that was damaged. They said they would need to buy an entire kit just to get the one piece and do my alignment. The Pep Boys mechanic looked at it and was able to fix it without getting any new parts. Even though it required more work than a normal alignment they did not charge me any extra. The entire time my car was being worked on the associate made sure to come out and check in with me periodically and let me know how it was going. He gave very accurate times of when everything was going to be done. He even answered questions that I had about parts and other items in the store while I was waiting. Overall I had an excellent experience and would definately return.

I have a brand new Fiat 500 Abarth that had Pirelli P7 tires on it, I say had because while Pirelli tires are very good tires and are very sticky, they wear very quickly. So I researched tires and decided to come to Pep Boys and get some questions answered about my tires options. Mike the Store Manager really has a great crew at this store, Gary the Service Manager answered all my questions about the new tire ratings and meanings.Laurie got me quotes so I could decide on which brand I wanted. When I did decide on what brand Jenny ordered them for me and called me as soon as they came in. Jenny also took great care of my car while it was there in the shop. While I didnt meet the tech, the repair order says his name was Rich, so Rich, thank you for treating my car like it was yours. I know that sounds funny to some, but I dont let alot of people drive my car. My name is Steve and again, great job everyone at Pep Boys 98 North Store! Thank you all. Repair Order # 2185710
