This place is a joke. Im Sean, and this is my story as a now previous employee of College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving, Melbourne Location. As an employee of the Melbourne location, I have leaned that the active Management is irresponsible, selfish, and financially greedy. The employee schedule is changing every three days, which proves instability. The operations manager, is selfish and is only concerned for the security of his "easy hours" and creating profit for the company, and is nowhere concerned for the well being of College Hunk Employees or Costumers. To an employee, if you are scheduled to work until 3pm and have to take your daughter to the pediatricians at 4:15, but another small move comes up, and despite there being two work trucks which the move only requires one truck, Tim will tell you to find a ride and in doing so, once you leave the job, regardless of being in transit, you automatically become terminated. Because we were late to the pediatrician, it cost me $800 out of pocket, and also losing my job, which I just discovered yesterday, because I was forced into working past my available schedule for that day, and needed to take care of a family medical issue. No more is the Operations manager concerned for his employees as much as his costumers. If you are moving, and decide you do not wish to bring your old couch, Tim will encourage us Hunks to charge you for the item as a "Junk Job", to bring in a profit for the location, even though we actively donate, or if best, will keep salvageable items without telling the costumer. So the nightmare about junking your furniture, if you are paying $600 to throw away a couple of desks and a flat screen tv that you dont want, youre almost guaranteed to pay for one of the college hunk employees to keep your items. That doesnt seem fair. Why should you pay the company to take the items if theyre just going to keep them or donate. seems like youre being willingly stolen from, and charged for it. Another nightmare about the office. I and another ex employee have caught the management drinking in the office, as well as storing alcoholic beverages in the company refrigerator. Do we honestly want to hire day time drunkards to situate and quote your move? I wouldnt. The nightmare about moving. We make you sign a form stating we are not liable for any damages to your furniture and items, but we will reimburse you $0.60 on the pound for anything that is damaged. What if you had a $3,000.00 TV that we broke, it weighed less that 10 lbs, Youre only entitled to a $6.00 figure for that expensive TV. 98% of the staff is actively stoning out on pot before they come to work. Theyre young kids that are careless and reckless. Theres only 2% of decent people at the melbourne location. The owner is a great guy, and I will always speak highly of him even outside his presence. But being as he bestowed the operations Manager position to an underdog that is only concerned for his easy shifts and money weaseling, I feel blessed to see exactly how "Stress Free" and family oriented this company really is. I have no experience with any other moving companies, but I strongly emplore you to reconsider, and to choose another company to move your items. Being relieved of my position at College Hunks for leaving after my scheduled shift ended, to take care of personal matters for my daughter, became a blessing in disguise and helped me to further see that I would much rather be unemployed than robbing people blindly to make a profit for a company that doesnt take care of its own.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVING!!!!!! Shame on this company. My parents whom live in an assisted living facility needed help with 6 items to be moved 5 flights down. Elevators yes. Due to ruled limited hours of moving time at the home left us 2 hours to move. 6 items. No packing no wrapping just moving oh and i supplied dollies. Furniture and hand. 2 labors at 120 an hr. Hired set up time 9 am out time 11. Day of moving they showed up at 10. They did the move did a fine job. No problems. Until Im looking at the bill that my elderly sick father signed. I look at there bank account and they were charged 430.00 for these six items to be moved 5 floors down. Why? I call to ask that very question. Asked to speak to manager. A gentlemen calls my father back not I who called about this in the beginning. I happen to be there thankfully and was able to talk to a very very rude man. When asking about bill he said he charged them 150.00 for truck and travel. I said there was no truck they never left the building. He said it was them to come get his truck and traveling to the job. !! Why would i pay 150 for someone to come to work. So i asked do you really think it is reasonable to charge 430.00 for 2 hours work moving 6 items. Due to the fact my elderly sick father paid 120 on his debit card which they told him was half. Only to have them charge 310.50 at a later date. 200 an hour. This man laughed at me and told me he got paid, too bad. I FEEL THIS PLACE TOOK ADVANTAGE of elderly sick people. Shame on you. I called bank and disputed charges however like he said as he laughed oh well i got paid and hung up on me. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

I called at 8:30am Monday morning to make an appointment to have a garage full of junk hauled away. My call was returned within a half hour and they made an appointment for what I thought would be a quote for the service. They called ahead before they arrived and were exactly on time. I was given a quote after they scanned my junk pile and I expected to have to make a future date for the service, only they were ready to start the minute I gave them the go ahead. Nagee and Joseph were awesome, personable and very efficient. They hauled away a mountain of junk, being careful to separate the junk from articles they knew would they would be able to take to a donation center. There were no hidden costs and if an item such as a tire or television that needed special handling for additional cost they let you know right away. I was over the amount that filled their truck and they accommodated this by off loading the donatable items and packing on the rest of the "junk", took the junk away and returned for the balance of the items. Nagee and Joseph were very careful to not take anything that they felt was questionable without asking. I cant say enough about their professionalism and would hire them again in a heart beat. Thank you Nagee and Joseph, you did a fantastic job.
