I took my truck to Central Florida and I was convinced they knew what they were doing until I got my truck back. It was the same as I brought it, the transmission wasnt shifting gears. The first week they had my truck I was catching an uber to and from work and school which was well over $150, I was fine with because I knew I needed my truck fixed badly. After got my truck back it was still doing the same thing it did when i took it there, which is not switching gears.. the mechanic response was it a cvt transmission you wouldnt feel it switch gears. well I dont know much about cars but i do know that at 60mph my cars gears shouldnt be all the way on 5. On top of that my car was making a loud whistling sound the more you accelerate. I took it back under warranty they claim it was a bad torque, so again her I am catching an uber BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT ACCOMODATE YOU FAR AS GETTING TO WORK OR SCHOOL WHILE THEY FIX YOUR CAR. After they called me back to get it My mother was in town and i let her use my car to get around while shes here and after she dropped me off to school she went to family dollar and to my surprise MY CAR WOULDNT GO FORWARD(DRIVE) BUT IT REVERSED. A mechanic came and looked at the problem and said your transmission is out. Called Central Florida they said bring it in, i had AAA to tow it there. They call themselves fixing it again and it still wasnt fixed. ITS STILL WHISTLING AND NOT SWITCHING GEARS. They told me that it was my catalystic converter something like that. I had that checked and that wasnt the problem. THEY ARE GUESSING WHATS THE PROBLEM WITH MY CAR AND REALLY DONT KNOW. THIS IS MY WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER. AND ON TOP OF THAT I ALMOST LOST MY JOB FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO GET TO WORK BECAUSE THE WILL NOT HELP ACCOMODATE YOU. I CAN CONTINUE TO LET THEM KEEP MY CAR AND I HAVE WORK AND SCHOOL. THATS WHAT I PAID THEM FOR TO FIX MY TRANSMISSION NOW I HAVE TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THE JOB I PAID THEM LOTS OF MONEY TO DO. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER...

I had CFL Transmission and Auto Repair rebuild the transmission in my 06 Honda Odyssey. They did a great job and I was very happy with the repair. Unfortunately for me, the engine failed about 2 weeks later. I was not surprised as there were over 250,000 miles on that engine! I again turned to Mike and Ray at CFL. I was on a tight budget because I had just repaired the transmission. Mike recommended a used engine as it was more economical and would be warrantied in case it failed. I was skeptical about a used engine but Mike reassured me because he offered a 1 year, 12000 mile warranty. If anything went wrong, it would be covered. I had them replace the engine. Unfortunately, as my luck would have it, the engine lasted only a week before it was rattling and smoking. I called Mike who had me bring it right in. He and Ray looked at it and agreed it was a bad engine from their vendor. Mike said he would contact his vendor to send another engine and they would swap it out. After a week of going round and round with the vendor, who was not honoring the 90 day warranty that they gave CFL, Mike bought another engine from a different vendor. They installed it, had me drive it for a couple of weeks, and then bring it back in to check for leaks and to perform any tweaking it needed. The Odyssey now runs great like a Honda should and I am very happy with CFLs service. They stand behind their work! I was so happy with their work and ethics that I had them repair the transmission in my 93 grand cherokee. By they way, I got three other estimates on the transmissions from different shops... CFL Transmission and Auto Repair charged less and offered a far better warranty (2 years/24000 miles) than the other shops. If you need any repairs to your vehice, not just transmission, I recommend them highly!

Central FL Transmission and Auto Repair COMPLETELY endangered my life. I was told by Mike Horine, the owner, that his shop completely rebuilt my transmission and placed new front wheel bearings. I have received 2 other professional assessments, as this will be a legal dispute, indicating that 99% of the parts were my original parts. This could have precipitated a driveline failure and caused a horrific accident. I had given this shop numerous chances to correct the problems, even after the work was supposedly completed. Mike refuses to return my warranty and invoice copies that his shop took upon me returning it numerous times for repair work even after the "original repairs." His response was that his "computer crashed" and would have to get it from his accountant. Mike also cussed me out when I physically dropped by to get the aforementioned because he had shop workers (Ray) helping him to dodge phone calls. He also is quick to make you out to be the bad guy and tell you how stupid you are for going to get another professional opinion, which is the consumers right. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS "SHOP!" Share with anyone you care about and drives a vehicle.

it was awesome. So here is my story so i bought a transmission from a company in pasco county called trans depot. and i got screwed i have had the transmission for 3 months and it was problems. i searched and found this place and read the reviews because i was tired of the bullshit so i went in talked to this shops transmission builder ray and i told him my situation and he told me "how much are they charging you to fix it i said 300. ray told me ill do it for 400 and like his reviews on google here say he did the job right and he did it early he told me Saturday it ll be done then calls me Friday at 3 and says your cars ready. I recommend going here because ray and his team are honest businessmen who are not out to make a few bucks on cheap work but to build everlasting relationships with customers and iam now happy that i met ray and his team. you guys should go and meet him to for automotive work because it will be worth it.

I absolutely HATE car troubles by all means - the money to fix it, the time to wait, etc etc. Central Florida Transmission and Auto Repair made the experience very easy and satisfying. Not only did they not try and work me over because I am female - but they actually explained in detail what needs to be done, what could be done to get by (if couldnt afford everything) and what everything means. At first, I thought about doing just what could be done, to get by; they then gave me a price breakdown of the entire job and because the prices were so affordable, I went ahead and got everything fixed. Its been several weeks and my car works great with no issues!! I would most definitely recommend them to anyone I know that has car issues. They are fast, affordable and friendly! Thank you for a great experience!

Ive brought my suburban back for 2 repairs under their "warranty". Theyve had my truck for over 5 weeks without fixing it yet. Ive left messages and asked to speak to the owner, who is "not available". Several of the "good reviews" on here like "Dave Powell" and "Reys" are the manager and owner who are trying to improve their ratings. Genuine customers, like me, have given them terrible reviews. Dont use Central Florida Transmission and Auto Repair. They lie. They ignore you. They dont do decent work. And they certainly dont care about you or the way they treat you.
