I really hate to give any business a bad review, but unfortunately Two Maids and a Mop did not meet our expectations. We first had a "deep cleaning" performed. I have to honestly say it was the worst job anyone could have ever done. Whatever cleaning products they used almost ruined our kitchen cabinets and other wood surfaces. Glass was left streaked and our wood floors had a sticky greasy residue left behind. We were utterly disgusted. After contacting the office manager, she asked us to please let them fix what they had obviously messed up. Two new cleaners were sent the following day and everything was re-cleaned. A much better job was done; however, still not up to par. Reluctantly, we decided to allow them to come back and start cleaning on a bi-weekly schedule. Not a simple cleaning either, but rather one of their most expensive packages where the cleaners clean everything from top to bottom each visit. Sadly, after several visits (in which they never really stayed more than an hour) it was painfully obvious they were not up to the task of providing the type of cleaning we have had in the past and have come to expect. All I can say is if you have high-end surfaces in your house (chrome fixtures, stainless, granite/quartz countertops, lots of glass, etc.) these are not the cleaners for the job. Consistently after almost every visit there were streaks/spots left on glass surfaces and mirrors, dust left in areas that were not cleaned, spots and streaks on bathroom chrome fixtures, and in general the look of a "rushed through" job. On the most recent visit, 9/13/2016 (and coincidentally the last visit they will ever make) there was debris left on floors which were supposed to have been swept, bathroom shower glass was streaked and spotty, chrome fixtures not polished, and some glass surfaces looked as though they had been wiped with a cloth which had been used to polish stainless or some other surface because there was a greasy film/residue left. We tried to like them, we wanted them to do a good job. Bottom line is they underperformed on every visit and at $110 every two weeks it was a complete waste of money. They try to convince you their business model works because you "rate" the cleaners and they get paid based on their rating, thus they would want to do a better job if they got a bad rating. Not the case. Lets be realistic, the company gets the same amount of money REGARDLESS of how good the service is which leads me to believe they really dont care how clean your house is at the end of the day.

I read the reviews before scheduling this cleaning service to help me clean our new house. The house had not been cleaned by the seller and I have had good experiences in another city with new house cleaning services. The two cleaners that came were polite and had their own cleaning equipment including a vacuum. I was surprised when they told me that they were not allowed to use cleaners with bleach and ammonia. For me that is perfect because I always use as few chemicals as possible but I was surprised that the person I scheduled with on the phone did not mention this. I was busy working on laundry and organizing closets. I described what I wanted them to do. The young women were very polite. It seemed like the cleaners were very busy and doing a good job. I checked on them a couple of times. One cleaner was working mostly in the kitchen and another in the bathrooms. About 15 mins before their time was up they told me that they had finished and asked what else they could do. I asked them to clean more windows uptairs. I should have taken that time to check the work that they had been doing. I discovered later that the oven was cleaned on the sides and bottom but not the top, the vent hood had not been cleaned, if the refrigerator had been cleaned at all the produce drawers had not been cleaned. A better job had been done in the bathrooms. I discovered a couple of days later that our beautiful contemporary leather dining chairs were leaning on two legs and had been shoved up against the dining room table. I assume to vacuum around them? This was inexplicable and left dents in the chairs. For what this company charges which is on the high end and the quality of work they do plus the damage to our chairs, I would never hire them again. They gave me $110 estimate for cleaning the 1500 sq ft upstairs on a regular basis. This is more than we were paying for a 2200 sq ft house in a major city and the cleaner was excellent. This is the first bad experiences that weve had in Tallahassee with a service company.

Nov 1, 2016 - Even being gone on a trip for a long time is more pleasant when you come home to a clean house. Thank you Two Maids and a Mop for having my house fresh for our homecoming. We have it set up with the bank to pay them even when were gone. So everyone is happy! The only thing I would like is that the ladies do a quick walk-through when they are done to be SURE all fans (ceiling and bathroom) and lights (that are supposed to be off) are OFF. Thanks for the good job of cleaning. Sept 20, 2016 - Hurricane Hermine gave us a wallop so Tallahassee was thrown off with no electricity. Unhappily, Two Maids were down, too. Were back and running now so Two Maid & a Mop came out yesterday. What a wonderful group of 3 ladies: Nisha, Elizabeth and Tiffany. They cleaned everything. Even my windows in and out! I really like how thorough this company is. They live up to their word and will work with you. August 30 cleaning: Again another consistent great cleaning job. I do have confidence with these ladies. Thanks for your work! *************************** What a great cleaning team Amy and Holly were! Thank you ladies for doing a very thorough job. They wiped the corners of every baseboard (an area that seems to accumulate lots of yuk), wiped down my kitchen cabinet doors (havent been done in 3 years), cleaned the glass lighting fixtures on my ceiling fans as well as the blades, all surfaces dusted well, floors swept and mopped well. Also it was great setting up my cleaning appointment through the computer. I got a courtesy call from the owner, Kathy, who told me just who would be coming to rescue my house from filth. Overall, this company has my vote for professionalism and competence!

We have been using Two Maids and a Mop for three weekly cleanings so far, and we are absolutely thrilled with every aspect of their service. The staff are always friendly and professional, and they work so hard to do a great job for our family. I am most impressed with how they rid our house of pet hair each week. We have three large dogs, but one would never know it when they get finished! It is wonderful to come home to a freshly cleaned house, and it makes my busy life so much easier. They are also the most affordable cleaning service that I have found, which has made it possible for us to have weekly cleanings. And Kathy, the office manager is fantastic. She is kind and responsive to scheduling requests. I cant recommend this company and these great people highly enough! We feel very lucky to have found them.
